Here is the mod you need to fix Professor Goodfeels so that he doesn't disappear from the Sunshine Tidings Co-cop: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11500/?
Hi Oxhorn
Great video oxhorn! by the way, if your going into mass bay medical centre for a video, its truely a sad scene, there is one thing of note in one of the waiting rooms by a seat but i think you know what it is or at least will know when you do the video, anyway another lovely video oxhorn, keep up this marvelous work
Oxhorn oxhorn you forgot about the merchant thats behind the store across the street
he sells a syringer rifle for me on xbox one
Oxhorn, can you do a video in the fallout train. You said you would posibly do one in your cars of fallout 4. That would be cool. that or do the vehicles of fallout 4 part 2, covering the bigger vehicles
I was wondering the wasteland at night, when suddenly I heard it. "Far Out..." I turned to see the good professor wandering around himself. Turns out he doesn't disappear.
I actually had a different experience with Professor Goodfeels. I activated his attack mode, and then I would find him traveling around the Commonwealth. I found him four times until he sadly died, but he died in a blaze of glory taking five super mutants whit him!
The Big Man Far out! Dude!!!
Where did you find him wondering around? I want to see if I can find him again.
Lol
@@mdredheadguy1979I followed him for awhile after finding him to see where he would go until he died to super mutants at Big Johns Salvage
@@youngspartan420WOW! At least he went out with a bang!
Far out! 😂
You are the reason I still play Fallout. You make it so interesting. It puts a smile on my face every time I see your notification
me too
X_Fury yeah i like his videos even though i know little and im a little interested i found his videos cool and actually made me play the game and see it for myself its pretty cool
Similiar, interesting fall up Fallout (pun?) commentary expands on the interest of the game making future purchases even more likely.

Professor goodfeels is the best character in the game

FAR OOUUT
WOAH MAN
besides Hancock, I agree
Fat Pig I agree Hancock ftw
I'm currently on my fifth playthrough of this game. The last four times I went to Sunshine Tidings I sent him back to Hester's and he never showed up. On my current run when I hit level 20 I went to Sunshine Tidings and sent him on his way to Hester's and crossed my fingers. Much later when I hit level 50 I decided to visit Hester's. As soon as I appeared inside I could hear his voice. He made it....and all by himself!
professor goodfeels is a goddamn blast, i never change his personality
prof goodfeels never leaves in all my saves
Same in mine. I think there's a chance for the feral ghouls in the area of destroying him if you don't kill them before leaving. And we all know most corpses (human or otherwise) disappear after a while.
kiomon same
When i turned sunshine tidings co-op into a settlement, he disappeared.
kiomon same...
kiomon iiiiiiii
I don't even play Fallout, but I just love watching these videos :)
Panther I used to be the same
Sam Here Panther . I just watch the vids. Lol
he's really good at it.
I'd love to have him as a companion and be modifiable with Automatron.
Haha, just imagine, that deep and menacing Sentry voice saying "Far out," "Groovy," "Woah," "Peace," etc. Funny thought.
@@normanmccollum6082 Well there's a Revolution War-addicted Sentry so it's not something... unfeasible.
@@MCPunk55
You mean Broadside? I dunno if he's specifically addicted to the Revolutionary War, he kinda rubbed me as a bit generally 19th century rather than specifically 18th-century, but I guess it's up to interpretation. Fun character regardless. How about that spooky Sentry in the scrapyard not far from Sanctuary? Don't play the tape... ominous.
@@normanmccollum6082 you talking about captain ironsides
@@feetuber9162
Thank you for the correction, my mistake. Ironsides sounds more accurate than Broadsides.
dude... hippies just wonder off sometimes. respect it. dont come in here with your mods...
lmao XD
Sunshine tidings co-op was the Railroads pre war HQ
bob saggzs that makes no sense. There were no synths pre-war, so no need for a Railroad.
It is not like they were going around liberating toasters.
0311Mushroom they actually are...
Someone didn't get it...
Ahhhahahaha that took me a minute.
That was actually kinda clever, even that dude no comprehende`, _They liberated Mr. Handy Aka Dr. Goodfeels, as in before Synths existed but still robots_ / And I bet That guy probably hates on the game and thinks he's too intellectual to enjoy F04 because it's not made by Obsidian or CD PR. ..lol
Strange. For me, when I recently cleared Hester's, there was a Raider corpse in front of the trader's body.
Same
I once fought a group of robots, out of no where, when one of the bots exploded, an Assaultron came running through the flames of the robots coupes as it uncloaked, it's eye laster glowing red, ready to fire, it's hands spinning and ready to tear my chest out, for the first time in my life I knew fear while playing a fallout game, I was to low of a level to take it on, I knew to avoid deathclaws and such, but this came out of nowhere, I didn't even see it during the initial fight so I ran, low on ammo, chems, and light armor, I knew it was either face it down with what ammo I had, and try an smash it with the super sledge I had just found or run, at least one guaranteed survival, as I fled a loud blast and a blinding red beam flew across my scalp as I jumped over a car and crouched, the car took most of the blast, so I ran, I turned with my shotgun ready to shoot, again, through the flames, the robot came running at me, I put a few unVATS rounds into her chest, she staggerd, so I took the time to get some distance, using the only jet I had, I used it to sprint for my life, jumping off a bridge into the water below, as I came to shore I could see a bright red beam fire at a few raiders, I turned an kept getting distance, I got turned around some how, as I came back to the bridge, I see a few ash piles and corpses, on the ground? A crawling Assaultron, I injected myself with some buffout and pshyco, I power attacked it, absolutely smashing it's head to bits, I stood there looking at it's health bar, just a sliver of health left, and a skull beside it's name, so I pulled out my shotgun, and put my last round into it with VATS, point blank, critical shot... I felt fear, and I conquerd it.
Edit: just a few words fixed
why the fuck would anyone give a shit
Rlly like it bro. Well, didn’t like u, i tricked it by zig zag moves and mines, resulted a big bang dropped my hp to 60. Aim for the head, boom

5:59 Hester's Consumer Electronics! A perfect place for a scavenger den!!
For those who don't know, when he says exterminate it is a reference to Dr Who where one of the enmities are called daleks and say it like 24/7
For the three whole people on planet Earth who aren't familiar with that.
The "exterminate" reference has been done to death.
Zero-Point surprisingly many people still don't know
It would have been funnier if they used a tone more in keeping with a Dalek.
"Exterminate, _dude_ ."
LOL
Near Hesters Consumer Robotics lives ghoul Slim, chems dealer, he sells Syringer rifle.
Not so rare weapon to find.
you're so wrong. The robot was clearly done smoking weed.
@jbiehlable Yes, Sunny Boy, Yes.
Prof. Goodfeels is cool ... first time I saw him, my first thought was "Neat, a Stoner-Bot"
Everyone's over here talking about lore and I'm sitting here yelling at the screen "WHY DON'T YOU PICKUP THE AMMO IT'S NOT LIKE IT WEIGHS SOMETHING"
By definition the robots in fallout 4 are alive because they can make conscious decisions so the "dudes" were right
Robot literally means slave
Well...kinda. I think there's a bit of a blurry line, but yeah.
Dudes were right about robots being sentient, but not about stealing them.
Robots don't need to be freed, as they're perfectly happy serving humans. Sure, they're programmed to, but that's a part of their personality.
In case of KL-E-0, and Assaultrons in general I guess, they're more like sentient female soldiers that, in the absence of a chain of command, might think "fuck this" and open up a lemonade stand.
i mean, look at graygarden. it's not every robot, but some are pretty close to sentient.
@@codsworth3996 Always trust codsworth
Man you got that right, i was so bummed out that professor goodfeels disappeared because I used the sunshine trading co-op as my place for all my robots because it had that big banner on the side of the warehouse "Free the Robots!" and when i came back later with Ada, he was freakin gone! Made me feel like crap because I thought I had forgot to defend a settlement and he was killed or something. It would've been great if I could've turned it into a mutaed pot farm and set all my robots to have his voice because the people gotta get through the day somehow! I also know a guy who is pretty much the cliche for someone who speaks like this who actually does talk like this and it always brings a smile to my face.
So it's basically like a bunch of tinker toms taught a mr handy lol.
CheerwineIsLit and glory for the exterminate protocal
Here's an idea. The guys from the co-op went back for more robots, but Hester had decided to improve his security by putting all of his bots on guard duty when the building was closed for the night. The co-op thieves returned and were killed by the bots. Hester, already having too much trouble with his competition, decided to quietly dispose of the intruders by chopping them up and placing them in the barrels, but he was interrupted when he heard the news broadcast of the bombs dropping. Hoping Boston would survive, he shut down the building, leaving the bots on guard duty as he fled for safety, perhaps even a vault. Considering his proximity to Vault 75, he may even have been one of the parents to those unfortunate children. Whether or not he made it to the vault, we may never know.
So, this is strange. None of them attacked me, and I've gone through it twice.
I know the people who stole Professor Goodfeels were radicals but it does raise a legitimate issue I'm surprised doesn't get more attention. Namely are or can robots be considered people?
The crux of the conflict between the Rail Road, the Brotherhood, and the Institute is whether or not synths are sentient and thus people. In my view Gen 3 synths along with Nick and DiMA (who I like to call Gen 2.5) certainly qualify but its less clear cut when you talk about the Gen 1s and Gen 2s due to their reduced cognitive capabilities and makes drawing the line murky to the point that it is actually a point of philosophical contention within the Rail Road.
The same issue crops up when you think about Robots. While most robots have very single minded and simplistic programing there are robots like Codsworth and pre-synth Curie who possess a much higher level of consciousness. For example they have preferences and morals which can lead to them leaving you if you offend them too greatly. Codsworth even demonstrates familial attachment and if my memory serves me I believe there is a Ms. Nanny in the Diamond City School who is in love with and can even marry her colleague.
While I have my doubts about Professor Goodfeels meeting that threshold, the radicals' actions like the existence of synths do raise the question which is almost as old as science fiction itself. When does a machine cease to be just a machine?
ThatGUY666666
Well, the G3 synths should of course be saved, as they have their own personalities that can change over time, and they show emotion, so on and so forth. G2.5s should, too. The synth known as Nick Valentine is actually just the personality of a pre-war detective called Nick Valentine put in the body of this synth - So it's like a brain transplant. G1 & 2s however, do not have sentience, they follow orders - Usually 'Kill Kill Kill' and do not do anything else, they are not capable of free thought. Robots like Codsworth certainly seem to have a level of sentience, although more information is needed on the issue of robots.
Real world robots, however, have not reached such a point of sentience, and although there are 'Learning AI', these are much more simple then one might imagine - I even programmed one a while back.
The reason I feel Nick qualifies is even though his personality was implanted from the original Nick Valentine, he still clearly experiences emotions and the implant even causes him to suffer from an existential crisis which ironically in my view proves his sentience as his own individual.
While it is true that Gen 1s and 2s have far less cognitive abilities than the Gen 2.5s and 3s I've noticed when exploring areas they occupy they'll sometimes refer to themselves in the first person and I've heard them express fascination when I utilized stealth. This suggests that on some level, some of them may have achieved sentience even if it's not at the same level as the Gen 2.5s or 3s.
The bitch of the problem however regardless if you're talking about synths, robots, or the various other forms the issue takes in other Science Fiction settings is where and how do you draw the line which separates the sentient from the non-sentient?
If real world robots ever clear that threshold I think it will most likely occur the same way Curie came into being which we learn from her terminal in Vault 81. She started as a standard Ms. Nanny but one of the scientists began to add to her core programing which made her decision making process and personality more complex over time. In her case the question is did she already have the required level of sentience to be considered a person when you first met her or did she only clear that threshold once she became a synth?
ThatGUY666666
Yes, the real crux of it is where you have to draw the line. If it's 'Able to have cohesive thought and feel emotion' etc, do mentally retarded people not count? It's an odd issue.
As I said, Nick us very clearly totally sentient, he is Nick Valentine, just in a different body.
the second a robot can feel or have an opinion, thats no longer a machine to me
ThatGUY666666
I think its all about initial programing and time.
Curie, Kleo, Codsworth, and ADA started out with complex programing that called for complex decision making. Over time their AI evolved to the point of forming genuine personalities that transcended their programing. They now feel real emotions and have their own wants and fears.
Sadly, Professor Goodfeels has disappeared from my game.
"I have to mention this place in my next report. It's a perfect location for a MIRLURK DEN!"
EXACTLY what I thought XD
hearing a hippie robot say *exterminate* is one of the funniest things I've heard in this game
Professor Goodfeels takes you on quite a journey. A real trip man
For the skeleton on the table maybe they were trying to cauterize the wounds he may have gotten from right after the bombs dropped but they couldn’t save him
" You can trust the Hester's guarantee of * Pulls out gun * Safety"
Little did we know that Professor Goodfeels also possesses powers of supreme omnipotence. This is displayed by him randomly materializing in elevators (Vault 95 and sometimes even Greenetech Genetics), and him suddenly appearing in a robot workbench in Sanctuary Hills. Research shows that Goodfeels does not seem to discover his unusual godly abilities until his defensive subroutines are activated
Bro you post the best videos. I'm so glad I found you because you really inspired me with settlement builds and got me interested in Fallout lore. Thank you :)
that guy on the table clearly got torch-ured.
**seinfeld theme**
*ba dum tish* what? someone had to do it
You should be able to send Professor Goodfeels to a settlement
Vipere I would love to see him interact with companions, especially Codsworth.
Yeah, like the one that needs your help. I'll mark it on your map.
I always wondered where professor goodfeels runs off to, I could never keep up. Thanks for this one, Ox!
Whoa, man, theres a settlement nearby that needs your help, its also perfect for a mirelurk den, here i'll mark in on your map
Do a video on the Gunner Plaza
Sir Guppy please ox do more gunner info and theories
There's a run-down apartment building to the southwest of Hesters Consumer Robotics, where you can find 3 unique NPC's a man called Dando with his two mongrels. One called Ruby and another called Shug they respawn after a few days and it's a great place to get bandanna's.
You know how many times Prof. Goodfeels just spawns near me somewhere and just scares the crap out of me, and the spots he spawns are super strange.
Speaking of pre-war skeletons in barrels, I once came across a skeleton stuffed into a trash can in a schoolyard. The poor guy was nuke-blasted while he was in the middle of getting bullied.
I never knew Fallout had this much story until i found your channel!
you have a great creative mind Oxhorn. thanks for all the great videos. never miss one. have a great day.
Prof goodfeels never left my sunshine tidings co-op. So in my settlement I got a hippie robot flying around
Can you do a video explaining what I think is called the Robotics Enthusiast Club(?) I read the notes but I couldn't quite peace it all the way together, thanks for everything you do
I know this is a very old video, but I've only been playing Fallout 4 for about a month. I pre-cleared his route up to the last little section and then went to Sunshine Trading. After giving him his protocols, I followed Professor Goodfeels all the way to Hester's and watched him enter the door. I tried several times to locate him (or his remains after destroying all the robots inside Hester's); however, it appears that he now simply does not respawn on the other side of the door. I tried several times to enter the door at the same moment he does, but the game simply would not allow me to active the "Open" button until after he disappear inside. I tried entering the front door instead and just sneaking around to see if he was in the spot where you found him without waking any of the robots and he simply was no where to be seen. I must say I'm disappointed to have gone to all the effort to get him there alive and after doing so to simply have him vanish into thin air.
I'll have to mention this place in my next report. It's a perfect location for a mirelurk den.
I think Professor Goodfeels was originally stolen from a neighborhood, rather than the store. On the terminal where they have his commands, it says they stole him from a suburban place doesn't it? Hetzers is definitely much more in the city than the suburbs, but I would find it likely that the original owners did buy it from that store since that's where it goes.
Oxhorn, you're like the Tom Hanks of Fallout! Always have to play a round or two after watching your content!
I have downloaded a Tourettes guy add mod on console and now he just says get fucked and all of that it’s fucking funny
Prof. Goodfeels once died in one of my saves by a group of wandering super mutants and i was so distraught
But hilariously enough, the super mutants were carrying a Junkie Machete that I then named "That Good Feel" and displayed it in my Sunshine settlement.
now i just slaughter him on the spot because he's annoying and loud after you sit there trying to craft and he wont shut up
I'm pretty sure Mr. Handy accurately sums up exactly what the journey with Professor Goodfeels is like 5:06
Oxhon can you do a profile video of Codsworth??
Oxhorn it's good to see another video of yours I just have a few questions 1) how did you make your male character? 2) Fusion Cores any advice on them?
It appears the only way to ensure he remains at Sunshine Tidings co-op is to either set him to 'Just Be' mode or 'Deactivate' him. (He can not be modified with a Robot workbench unverified so far) For ps4 users I am sure there's a mod that allows you to move him to another settlement, I have yet to test this but it might fix that disappearing bug. :D
I'm pretty sure that the Professor Goodfeels thing and the whole "Friendly robot suddenly turning hostile and trying to murder you" Is a reference to the movies called "Short Circuit" and "Short Circuit 2" where the Military create a robot that one of the scientists tries to free because of his AI/Personality
I actually don't even need to play fallout 4 with as much as I'm hooked on your perspective on the lore. Don't get me wrong I easily put 200 hours in, but you still find things I haven't even seen. Keep up the great work.
i found professor goodfeels early on, i set him to guard protocol and left, later i was just leaving vault 81 and heading up the elevator, and mr goodfeels appears through the door and hostile toward me, i swear. i knew i recognized the name
I got attacked by Mechanist robots and they killed Professor Goodfeels. RIP.
"free the robots!"
"what? he's trying to go back? just reprogram him."
reminds me real hippies.
Have you checked Hester"s after Dr Goodfeels disappears to see if he goes back there on his own?
That cimbal ape actualy sits in Malone's office in Cheers ( also a Cheers themed building in game😂)
A mister handy robot walking around?
In my railroad playtrough sunshine tiding co op became my mercer safe house , so the free the robots sign were ironic but fitting
I set him to defend, set up 300 defense, and two sentry bot guards that I build in automatron that usually keeps him alive.
Perfect place for a scavenger team
Kinda wish you could modify goodfeels with automatrons robot workbench.
*Massive Ahab Sentry Bot*: Whoa man, Groovy.
Hey, when I found the female settler hidden behind those crates (9:58) there was a dead male raider at her feet... gave me a very grim picture of what happened... during my playthrough
Thanks for always posting interesting and informative fallout content. You keep this game fresh and exiting with your lore and settlement vids so keep on posting great videos man!
Got into a fight at Drumlin Diner while following him, and never managed to catch up, but then much later on in the game, at Hester's, I never saw him. I'm now glad to see I didn't miss out on anything major when I lost him.
Maybe the weird smoke coming from the vents killed all the settlers. Even the one on the roof was camped out under the roof vents. Maybe that’s why goodfeels is so stoned all the time
That's weird, everytime ive played Professor Goodfeels never leaves unless i tell him to
Cool video Ox! Oh and after you shut down Professor Goodfeels can you turn him back on or no?
Yes you can :)
Oxhorn ok thank you! :)
yes he actually does this
He appeared at the mass fusion building when I came to the door and a few other locations i was at
on my playthrough. the was a raider corpse near the trader that was hiding behind the boxs
You could make a video about that quest from F3, "the Replicated Man", it gives some more info about the synths and institute
Just my suggestion :)
He only disappears for me if he's killed during a settlement attack.
Professor Goodfeels dialog repeating terminate is an obvious reference to doctor who and it classic enemy The dalek!!!
He’s the one you call to make feel good he’s the one to make you feel alright. Now you know where his name comes from.
I have to say that off all the people doing Fallout 4 videos. You earned a sub from me very quickly. Thank you for all the time and work you have put into doing these videos, they are very helpful.
"Sounds like he's taking a life lesson from the dude"
I was so bummed when I couldn't find him anymore!
In my game there was also a raider body next to the trader behind the crates
I found a raiders corpse in front on the settler behind the crate. I also never had feels goods leave the settlement.
I think the barrel holding the skeleton was probably originally filled with a powerful corrosive fluid used for cleaning. It's not unheard of for murderers to stash dead bodies inside industrial acid containers in hopes of dissolving the evidence. If not a murderer, then perhaps the robots stashed the body in the acid for disposal. They're programmed for household chores like cleaning and dead bodies do tend to be messy. As for the other undissolved bodies, they're new enough that maybe their supply had all evaporated by then. Perhaps they simply hadn't gotten around to it yet. Perhaps their programming to return to their displays took over. They've gone over 200 years without maintenance, so who knows what's going on in those glitchy little processors of theirs?
Super mutants kept killing him. So I fast traveled near by the robotics building clearing it. And he inevitably showed up
I wonder if having the skeleton in the barrel was a reference to "Breaking Bad" where the guys they kill are put into a vat of hydrochloric acid and trucked off... hence a "Dude Smoothy".
Theory. The Co-op is the root of the Railroad. People kidnap a Mr. Handy from it's owners (like synths saved from the institute). They "zonk" it out (mind wipes like they do to synths) and reprogram it (giving synths new memories). But hey, that's just a theory. A drunk at 5pm theory.
when i saw goodfeels was gone i got a mod to put him back in and upgraded his body and gave him a laser arm and a lightning arm. also painted him light blue.
i think the reason pre war bodies were found in weird places is because maybe the robots were attacking customers just as they attacked you and the staff and manager were trying to cover it up
God, Oxhorn, you make me want to play Fallout 4 every time I watch a video of yours. It appeals to my scavenging and building part of me. I love this series, both game and video series of yours. Thanks for always making me play this game with enjoyment and excitement.
I doubt this location was changed with the next gen update, but I just went through this location a few minutes ago, hence why I came to watch this video. The first female npc body was half in and half out of the bathroom doorway and not sitting on the toilet. I did not need a jet pack to jump up there as I did the same by just getting on to the larger metal container and just jumping over. The female npc body on the roof inside had a dead male raider on the floor in front of them as if they had killed each other or at least were facing each other but with no visible weapons outside of their inventories. Not sure why my play through was different that Oxhorn's but maybe the first time a player enters the building they are set up randomly, I have no idea otherwise.
0:27 the digital dude abides.
He definitely left my game and I was very curious to follow him but didn’t wanna risk my low level armor and weapons to keep me from getting all the way. I had no idea it was that far and had that many obstacles! Yeah I’ll just assume he’s floating around my map somewhere instead….
Wait! Don't kill Goodfeels! He's my chems dealer! Gotta get my doobage, yo!
almost 1000 videos I've been here since 821 videos and I am proud when you get 1m subs;)
In my game, behind the crates there was a raider corpse in front of the settler corpse
