    I think you can atomise blocks to reclaim the resources. I’d test it on some of the spare building blocks you have in your storage units, but if it works, you could atomise some of your level 1 turrets and put their resources towards level 2 turrets.
    I think you can also get a better mining laser and laser rifle with the new quadrant too.

      You can atomize corn as well to get carbon, that's how you make more carbon. Without that, carbon is a limited resource.

    I think the turrets will not fire at your own ship.....
    Like a big machine gun, or any weapon on a navy ship, is usually set up so that you can't shoot your own ship.... That entity unit at around the 51:20 mark was down low, and hiding both behind & in front of stuff.... So to protect your ship, the turrets won't fire into your own structures & machines....
    Possibly.... Just a thought....
    When the entity is up in the sky, painted by the background of space, the turrets do seem to fire away....

      That's an interesting observation! You might be right.
      I think it would be better if the dev just let the turrets fire away and make it so the rig can't take any friendly fire from turrets or my own handheld weapons.
      I'd love to be able to count on the turrets for defense more.

    Bummed you are ending the series! But completely understandable. It is an early access game. Seems like they need to work on the hatch placement. It did seem like you had a bit of an above average glitch with those. Also seems like they need to work on the targeting algorithm for the turrets... It takes way too long for them to start firing! Or they programmed it that way, which would be an easier fix. You were so close to going down in the mines! Hopefully you pick it back up after a few updates. Now on to check out your satisfactory series. :)

      Yeah, I'm not happy about ending the series either. I'm just thinking at this point I'm almost in this death spiral now of not having strong enough weapons to fight off the entity attacking the space rig. The turrets are kind of unreliable.
      I can't produce enough thruster fuel to move the rig from asteroid to asteroid. Using the jetpack to explore asteroids pretty much means every time I return to the rig, there's going to be an entity attack waiting for me along with the tedious task of repairing all of the damaged blocks.
      I'd have to experiment with how to be better prepared for when the entity attacks start ramping up. Maybe I should have spent more time gathering resources in the easier sectors (?).
      I could be wrong, but with my current situation in the game, I think it would be quite a long slog to try and regain an edge over the enemy.

      @@Glidercat they did add a setting in somewhat recently to configure the enemy attack intervals and maybe strength too. I lowered mine because I like exploring so much, but not completely off because the attacks add a little something. As soon as I went to the industrial quadrant, I happened to build a mining laser 2, and the first mining out post asteroid I went to I got enough stuff to make the laser rifle 3, and that made light work of the enemies. I didn't even make a laser rifle 2.

    Ahhh ended before we saw what weapon blueprints were new.
    Great series though. Glitches do need to be sorted as well as enemy leveling. Seemed to get harder quickly and not enough ammo to sustain you.

      Yeah, I actually felt like I was in a bit of a death spiral taking repeated beatings by the entity and having to spend too much time repairing my space rig over and over again.

    They have fixed a bunch of problems and added an unstuck button. If you are interested in a season 2. I would watch.

      I've been thinking about doing another season. Like you said, there have been a bunch of updates and improvement since I recorded this first season. 👍

    Yeah, those turrets are acting really weird. Last episode, they were kicking butt and now they’re not. Maybe they decided to take the episode off.

    Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with the turrets. They did better on ground level but it still seems like the enemy needs to be WAY up in the air before they actually work. Unless they won't fire if the enemy is close to your buildings and the buildings might get hit? I'm honestly at a loss with the turrets.

      My guess is that the turrets don't engage until the enemy actually hits the space rig. It's unfortunate, because I'm really relying on the turrets and they just aren't up to snuff.
      I read on the Steam forums that the issue with the floating airlock covers may have something to do with using the trash vac.
      I think it's a good time to end the series and then maybe come back for a new series sometime down the road. It's a very cool and fun game and overall I'm still very impressed with it.
