I have a 2002 4runner. I removed the fuel tank. There are 3 soft rubber hoses I had to disconnect. They were labeled but the labels fell off. Anyone have a diagram of the hose connections? Thank you.
I lowered the tank to change the pump, and it started to pour gas through one of the hoses. At first I mistakenly thought I had changed the hoses, but I realized that even removing the gas hose from below, it continues to vote, as if the problem were from the tank
Hey I recently bought a 1990 4 cylinder 4Runner and the engine turns over but won’t start. I emptied the gas tank, put fresh stuff in and made sure their aren’t leaks anywhere but it still won’t start. Any thoughts on why?
I'm having a fuel leak in the frame too. I think it's comings from the carbon canister drain line that goes into the inside frame near the frontleft wheel. Not sure what's causing it though. Seems to come on when I'm driving up hill and the rpm kick in.
I have the same problem after I dropped the tank replaced fuel pump. I test drive thinking it was all good and it seemed fine but stalled when I would let off the gas so I went to look under and it was streaming gas from inside the frame and by the front left wheel. The line looked like it was coming from the charcoal canister box thing so I was confused because I didn’t even touch that spot. But I must’ve mixed up the lines ?

Found the cause: lines were crossed above the tank.

Sounds like the line are definitely crossed. I don't know of any other reason gas would flow out there.

Hi,in a fuel tank we have three pipes which one is the main(Carina Toyota)
The main is the line with the hose nut/bolt fitting, the other 2 have little hose clamps
What would happen if they are to be in the wrong spot ?
LoL, you will pump fuel into your air canister.
Nice username bruh
What year is this 4Runner? Thanks.
