Raptor Liner 4Runner, first coat.
Переглядів 7 тис.7 років тому
Just remembered I had this time lapsed video of applying most the first coat to my old 4Runner. Loved how it came out in the end and will definitely be doing the same to my current 4Runner when a bit hotter(decreases flash of times between coats). Easily took as much time prepping though, as I did actually spraying.
4Runner panhard correction bracket install
Переглядів 7 тис.7 років тому
...Sorry for the messy garage... This is a quick overview of how to install this bracket... Being such a snug fit, it may take some good coaxing with the mallet. Depending on each individual axle, there might be more or less play, but each one was cut, shaped and fit tested multiple times throughout the process to make sure there was accurate allotment with the stock bolt holes.... ....more tha...

Go over a few options for illuminating the existing E-Locker switch light that's missing pre-wired power provisions in the 3rd gen 4Runner dash harness. Sorry for the shaky cam, bad editing and nonscripted dialogue... Don't do many of these kind of things.

Quick lil scenic trip behind the house with Abie in the hills, this was only the middle portion along the ridgeline... Didn't get the climb up or the descent down the other side. Abie's T100 and driving skills did great!

Just one of many conquered obstacles @2N33 on this rainy day... A rock ledge sticking out of a hillside, just wide enough to support a tire, has to be crossed just right as sliding off will drop your drivers tire into a large rut and carve open your door like a soup can... All finished without a problem!

I lowered the tank to change the pump, and it started to pour gas through one of the hoses. At first I mistakenly thought I had changed the hoses, but I realized that even removing the gas hose from below, it continues to vote, as if the problem were from the tank
Nice username bruh
Life saver ! Thank you !!
I have a 2002 4runner. I removed the fuel tank. There are 3 soft rubber hoses I had to disconnect. They were labeled but the labels fell off. Anyone have a diagram of the hose connections? Thank you.
Hi,in a fuel tank we have three pipes which one is the main(Carina Toyota)
The main is the line with the hose nut/bolt fitting, the other 2 have little hose clamps
my veryn first enginebuild was a 76 400 cid ,i know the steam holes make a 400 block uselesds because the steam h on the heads etc ertc
what engine and car is this for? it came up when I looked for a 1988 nissan pintara CA20 distributor wire locations
Hey I recently bought a 1990 4 cylinder 4Runner and the engine turns over but won’t start. I emptied the gas tank, put fresh stuff in and made sure their aren’t leaks anywhere but it still won’t start. Any thoughts on why?
Did you ever experience pinging? Just picked up a tacoma and I'm noticing a rattling sound at lower revs on the highway when I get on the throttle.
You figure out the rattling sound?
@@isaiahmoya9742 I got lucky and started using higher octane fuel and it went away. It’s pinging from high intake temps from the blower or more likely running slightly lean
I'm having a fuel leak in the frame too. I think it's comings from the carbon canister drain line that goes into the inside frame near the frontleft wheel. Not sure what's causing it though. Seems to come on when I'm driving up hill and the rpm kick in.
Found the cause: lines were crossed above the tank.
I have the same problem after I dropped the tank replaced fuel pump. I test drive thinking it was all good and it seemed fine but stalled when I would let off the gas so I went to look under and it was streaming gas from inside the frame and by the front left wheel. The line looked like it was coming from the charcoal canister box thing so I was confused because I didn’t even touch that spot. But I must’ve mixed up the lines ?
Sounds like the line are definitely crossed. I don't know of any other reason gas would flow out there.

Thank you that helped me so much with getting my coil and plug wire spaghetti back into working smooth order
Hi, I wanyed to ask what model weber you are using on that z Engine please
where'd u get the longer bolt from
Peugeot 504 firing order
If you ever want to get rid of those mufflers I’ll buy them off of you!
I need plug wires firering order please 5 cylinder microbus
Wait i have the bracket. do i need a longer bolt or can i use teh stock bolt? also doesnt this need to be welded on?
What year is this 4Runner? Thanks.
Are you still making these for sale? What's the distance between the two holes?
cool i have a s12 am working on trying to find a way to put a carb on
Where’d you find the supercharger for that cheap
if you connrct the wires to the distributor cap in the wrong order will it cause the car to not be able to start. i 5hink my neighbor did and now car wont start
You just saved my life thank you
Love your paint job bud. I have gotten my 4th gen 4runner keyed several times . I was wondering what color did you used? Thanks
What would happen if they are to be in the wrong spot ?
LoL, you will pump fuel into your air canister.
Another one with a finger , bad sound and motion camera.
Both of you need mask on show some since
The word is sense. The rolling door there is 18ft wide and open at least 6" at both the top and bottom. The door to the house is then opened with an evaporative cooler pushing 7000cfm through the room. Considering the very short exposure time, we're good without the masks when not directly applying. Thanks for the concern.
How many miles were on your engine, when you installed the supercharger? I'm going to be installing one on my 95' Tacoma soon. Just curious, because my truck has 300k miles on it.
302,000 Now at 312,653 with zero hiccups.
My runner has 295k and it had the sc put on at the dealership new. They can take a beatin
It's guna blow lol
I just cant tell what color it is...
What about the other side? It needs both from what ive read.
It actually needs it from the axle side altogether to get the highest roll center(not the same as center of gravity). The only reason some guys do a lift bracket AND drop bracket is cause their lift components, namely their shocks, won't allow for a larger lift bracket like this without contacting the crossmember above. Guys with extended shocks already run extended bump stops and can prob run a 3-4" lift bracket and no drop bracket. The kit that currently sells both is cause it's made to fit most any lift setup, 2-4", and accounts that some guys may not get the extended shocks, so only uses a 2" lift side bracket. So it will most definitely clear the crossmember overhead.
Disconnected sway bars and lockers make all the difference in the world - nice
Thanks for your help man really saved myself some cash not going to Mexhanic
cool video
so I just bought some new wires, took all of the old ones out and now I don't know which order to install these new ones can anyone help me
That sounds and looks awesome! What exhaust setup do you have on there? I'd like to do something very similar
It's an off brand muffler that I cut off my first runner. Think it's called a raptor muffler. Also have a deck plate mod and the intake silencer removal mods done to my intake which makes for a deeper throaty sound.... Oh... And the supercharger of course.
Thanks for the reply! poopypants03
Lose the eight plug setup. Plug 4. Get the crank gear from a 280Z motor and the distributor drive from a280c and a 5-10 distributor. The crank gear and drive from the 510 are also the same. Don't forget the oil Slinger.
Why in the world would you want to do that? If I was gonna Frankenstein a motor, I'd just throw on an L20b peanut head for the better flow, then over bore, get dished positions and add a turbo.... But all that still isn't worthwhile... Outright Motor swap is where it's at.
Got to go with the Pacesetter header and a factory muffler. If you really wanted to do it right weld the seams on the muffler because you will see it leak around the seams. It's actually a little louder than I like I will probably put a small glass pack behind that. I would do that instead of a Flowmaster and you will get more performance out of the engine. The factory exhaust manifolds have a weak spot it will break around the heat shield.
why dont they just put the nuber fucking 1
texas tough cause that would make too much sense
Looks like he just cut up a piece of square tubing.
Yeah I wouldn't trust that for shit, better off welding it into place to keep it from pivoting and moving around
Maybe you need another mask? I was confused when in the beginning you had a mask and your son standing next to you didn’t have one.
talon3633 what you can't see just out of frame to the left is a giant box fan pulling fresh air from my home where the evaporative cooler is also on and pushing tons of cfm through that cracked garage door... I only had the mask on because I was in there for hours at a time and cumulative fumes standing right next to the truck and right behind the gun could still get to you. Only took it off and gave it to my son when he was spraying as an example that when doing this work, you use proper ppm(told this to him as I helped him put it on).
I have a 1992 b2200 Mazda I replaced the distributor and the little black wire that runs off that little black box to the coil does it go to the negative or the positive
Sonny Price, sorry, I couldn't tell you my friend. This is the distributor for a 1981 Datsun 720 with a Z22 motor.
Where do I connect my timing light? #1 intake? or #1 exhaust?
Number 1 intake
any more info on front bumper
It's a CBI Moab 1.0 bumper for the Tacoma. To get it to fit flush like mine and to properly fit the winch crossmember you have to cut off almost 3" of the frame rail ends, reweld in end plates and then cut off the stock frame horns for the bumper and add a properly aligned plate with fixed nuts.
When you put the supercharger on, did you change the tune at all? What all do you have to do when installing the Supra injectors to keep it from running rich?
The supra injectors still have a low enough min threshold to run at normal pressures when doing normal driving. I even passed Ca smog with them in. But once you get on it, they have the higher capacity. The ecu basically learns them and uses as much voltage as it needs to make the exhaust numbers look right. I will be getting a piggy back eventually to tune more for the injectors and methanol together and really take advantage of it. But it's been great for now.
With the Supra injectors is it a plug and play and were they from a turbo or non turbo?
I lifted my 99 almost 2 years ago, I didn’t realize I needed this lol damn. Flexing pulls my drive shaft into the fuel tank skid plate. Looks like you built that bracket yourself is that accurate? Details?
I was planning on doing exactly what you did. Carb & flow master. Sounds good. Are you running a cat?
Where did you buy the bracket from?
Mike Thomas I made a batch of these by hand with an angle grinder and power drill... This was the install vid for folks that bought one.
Did you get alot of performance off the carb?
Ramon Zavala yup. Love the carb. If I had to do it again, I'd give the 32/36 a try instead, but I'm very happy with the 38.
poopypants03 So do you think i should get the 32 36?
What’s the difference between the 36/32 and 38?
Ramon Zavala depends on how much you've built up the rest of the motor. But for overall Drivability, the 32/36 is better and will still perform very closely at WOT.
Aesthetic Kid the 32/36 is a progressive carb and opens one barrel, then the other transitions in after half throttle. The 38 is technically a 38/38 and both barrels open simultaneously. If you stab the throttle hard right of the bat it bogs...too much air right of the bat. Light throttle is real nice and responsive, and you can feed more throttle as the rpms build, but it's not nearly as nice as the 32/36 in overall Drivability.
What color did you use?
Awesome vid! thank you sir and for the info!
