True. Tyrion had no business making war plans for Daenerys. If Barristan and Jorah where at her side. Cersei would have been screwed, from the get go. And yes. WITHOUT A DAM REASON may I add. But if we where to be honest here. If this was Tyrion before season 5. Then based on how smart he played at the battle of the black water . Yeeea. Daenerys would have conquered westeros in a blink of an eye. Her army was gigantic. 100k Dothraki. 8k unsullied. 3 dragons. The reach. Dorn. Some support from the iron islands. Her forces literally where around 200k, maybe more. And over half, where mounted cavalry. But most importantly. The 3 freakin Dragons. Season 8 was the worst, but season 7 is pretty close as well.

I look at the situation as Tyrion screwing up his strategy for Dany due to wanting to spare his siblings. Season 2 Tyrion was a great Hand because he was defending Lannisters. The right thing for Dany to have done upon arriving in Westeros would have been to have sent riders to her allies instructing most of them to advance on King's Landing while some march to Storm's End to install Gendry. Then when Cersei and Euron are in custody or dead, send a force west through the Iron Islands to install Yara.

Margaery isn’t dead yet in the books. I do kind of doubt that GRRM told Benioff and Weiss how Margaery died. Seeing as how the actress learned of her death six months in advance, I think they only killed her off because they were running out of source material. So, there’s still a little bit of hope.

I loved Margaery Tyrell to bits. Her character was exactly how a queen should be. Smart and cunning . But at the same time showing love and compassion to people. Some may say that she was just fainting compassion, but that's just bullshit. She was genuinely horrified about Joffreys death, even though he was a cunt. She even told her grandmother how disturbed she was and how sorry she felt for Cersei. Who again. Is a piece of shit and has threatened her multiple times. I wish Margaery have met Daenerys. This would have been a great scene to watch.
If she'd have just listened to Olena right then, she could have sacked King's Landing with just the dragons, and not even needing the Dornish, or the Tyrells or the Fleet, or having busted Casterly Rock. She could have then as Queen used the support of Tyrion, Olenna, Ellaria, Yara and Sansa/Jon Snow to take the Throne, and marched the Armies of Unsullied, Dothraki, Dorne, Riverlands, Vale, Iron Islands, Westerlands, North, The Reach and the Stormlands up to meet the White Walker threat, focusing all of Westeros on a single objective working in unison and forming a bond of union. Instead she listened to Tyrion, lost Olena and the Reach army, wasted the unsullied on casterly rock, lost Yara's fleet, lost Ellaria and Dorne, gave Cersi and Euron time to improve and mass produce Scorpions, just in time to listen to Jon and march north and back again losing 90% of her forces, her advisors, and two dragons. Yet ultimately still sack King's Landing in about 20-minutes.
Both Viserion and Rhaegal would of been still alive and the battle with the White Walkers would of not take place at Winterfell but at the Wall, because the Night King would of not had Viserion if Dany first attacked Kings Landing.

Plot armour is the only reason that Dany didn't attack King's Landing and become queen that very day. Olenna is right, Aegon didn't care about what everyone thought when he conquered the entire continent with dragons and a foreign army there is no reason for her not to do the same.
One thing I love about game of thrones. In this scene we see essentially a Dragon Queen with an army of Eunuchs and her Eunuch advisor, a dwarf right-hand man, a female pirate captain, an old lady matriarch and the mother of sand-dwelling assassins discussing how they'll take over the kingdom. In any other series this would have been derided as cliche high-fantasy bullshit. Yet in this series it just feels so organic and natural. It just goes to show how good GRRM's worldbuilding was.

If she had attacked with three dragons when she and the other women wanted to she'd be Queen and could defend the kingdom from the Night King with Three dragons and a massive army because Cersei never would have developed a stronger scorpion. Killing his father should've changed him for good, it's not something you'd overcome just like he did with a few bottles of wine. It was the peak of his character arc. That should've left him with a broken and hardened soul. He should've disappeared at least for a while. He could've lived like a recluse in hiding with Varys's aid. I don't buy him joining Dany's advisory board. HIs whole presence in Essos just feels fake to me. Overcoming the murder he committed undermines the weight of the act.

I agree, but what will probably turn her quickest is one of these bitches betraying her, because they're all capable of it. Ellaria especially, she is petty and impetuous. Olenna gave the best advice though; you don't blindly follow the advice of your counsel. It gets you killed like Tommen. You have to be able to take advice and stay two steps ahead yourself, so you know which way to go.
Tyrion is literally why she has been failing for two seasons. And even after losing so much, she won the war in 20 minutes. Imagine what would have happened if they all attacked it back then? They would have taken the iron throne in 3 minutes...

You do realise the only reason that happend was to even the odds between dany and cersei? If you look at the hole plan geografically it doesn't make sense, because when they sailed from meeren to dragonstone they passed sunspear and dorne anyway, Why would they sail pass dorne then sail back AND THEN SAIL UP AGAIN. But yeah, D&D wanted to make dany weaker and cersei stronger. It would indeed be boring if dany just flew over kings landing and burned the red keep down, hence winning the war in a single episode.

After watching all of game of thrones and years passing by what happened made no sense. Tyrion was trying to save his sister and brother- period. He didn’t care about Danny winning more than making sure his sister and brother were safe.
What disapointed me about this was tyrion reaction to Myrcellas death i expected monolouge similar to the one Davos said to red preistess about Shireen
It wasn't really the place for it, it was a war meeting, they need to work together to win, so arguing and placing blame in a grand speech would only create strife and not accomplish anything
Also Tyrion must have learned a long way back that Ellaria poisoned Myrcella. Davos discovered Shireen's death more freshly by the time the Battle of the Bastards began and afterwards it sunk into him when he confronted Melisandre. The timing of discovery and confrontation is what made Davos angrier and broken to tears whereas Tyrion had already his time to shed tears for his niece and didn't have time up until the war council to give Ellaria grief.

Well, he took her alive, presumably as the "gift" he promised Cersei. My guess would be Cersei pays Ellaria for murdering her daughter by killing Ellaria's daughter in front of her, then letting the Clegane have her for a while. This would not only be deeply satisfying for everyone who hates Ellaria, it would also allow Cersei to go further down the madness route, without Jaime objecting too much since he'll be even angrier about Myrcella's death than Cersei.

If Dany had taken Lady Tyrell's advice right after hearing it, she wouldn't have lost them under diplomatic thinking. Asking nicely or plotting strategies has never been Dany's success. Everything she has accomplished has been based on her powerful actions and demonstrations with her dragons by her side while the people kept dragging her down. It is a shame she will just figure it out by next episode when she is almost losing. We know she cares for innocents but this is what's making her lose while ruthless CerSIe wouldn't give a fuck which is why she's winning .

Poisoning Marcella was a cunt thing to do. And served no real purpose. Olenna was at least protecting Margerey when she poisoned Joffery. Ellaria poisoned Marcella purely out of spite.
Ellaria, Yara, and Olenna were right in this scene. In war, innocent people die, yet Dany insists on trying to take the Iron Throne without killing any innocent people which thus far has lost her all her allies. If she wanted the Iron Throne that badly, she should have listened to her allies.
It was Tyrion's plan. When she listens and the plan fucks up, everybody hates her. When she doesn't listen and everything either fuck up or succeed, still everybody hates her. Many people want her to lose apparently because they hate her for being the biggest threat to everybody.
Am I the only one who thinks it's embarrassing the way the music kicks in and everyone looks around like some ingenious plan has just come together. When what they have suggested was written by Dumb and Dumber and won't actually mean anything anyway...
Dany has never really had an older female figure in her life. She’s had men like Barristan, Jorah, and even Ilyrio, but this may be the first time she’s had a real heart-to-heart and council with another woman (excluding Missandei, who’s around her age). I WISH we got more scenes between these two!
You know what? Now that I think about it, Daenerys should've just listened to the rest of her counsel members over Tyrion's advice, well, because they are fighters, warriors, battle tested, oral battle tested, etc. etc., while Tyrion is just a politician. That's it.

The right thing for Dany to have done upon arriving in Westeros would have been to have sent riders to her allies instructing most of them to advance on King's Landing while some march to Storm's End to install Gendry. Then when Cersei and Euron are in custody or dead, send a force west through the Iron Islands to install Yara.

If she'd have just listened to Olena right then, she could have sacked King's Landing with just the dragons, and not even needing the Dornish, or the Tyrells or the Fleet, or having busted Casterly Rock. She could have then as Queen used the support of Tyrion, Olenna, Ellaria, Yara and Sansa/Jon Snow to take the Throne, and marched the Armies of Unsullied, Dothraki, Dorne, Riverlands, Vale, Iron Islands, Westerlands, North, The Reach and the Stormlands up to meet the White Walker threat, focusing all of Westeros on a single objective working in unison and forming a bond of union.
Instead she listened to Tyrion, lost Olena and the Reach army, wasted the unsullied on casterly rock, lost Yara's fleet, lost Ellaria and Dorne, gave Cersi and Euron time to improve and mass produce Scorpions, just in time to listen to Jon and march north and back again losing 90% of her forces, her advisors, and two dragons. Yet ultimately still sack King's Landing in about 20-minutes.
Both Viserion and Rhaegal would of been still alive and the battle with the White Walkers would of not take place at Winterfell but at the Wall, because the Night King would of not had Viserion if Dany first attacked Kings Landing.

Plot armour is the only reason that Dany didn't attack King's Landing and become queen that very day. Olenna is right, Aegon didn't care about what everyone thought when he conquered the entire continent with dragons and a foreign army there is no reason for her not to do the same.
One thing I love about game of thrones. In this scene we see essentially a Dragon Queen with an army of Eunuchs and her Eunuch advisor, a dwarf right-hand man, a female pirate captain, an old lady matriarch and the mother of sand-dwelling assassins discussing how they'll take over the kingdom.
In any other series this would have been derided as cliche high-fantasy bullshit. Yet in this series it just feels so organic and natural. It just goes to show how good GRRM's worldbuilding was.

If she had attacked with three dragons when she and the other women wanted to she'd be Queen and could defend the kingdom from the Night King with Three dragons and a massive army because Cersei never would have developed a stronger scorpion. Killing his father should've changed him for good, it's not something you'd overcome just like he did with a few bottles of wine. It was the peak of his character arc. That should've left him with a broken and hardened soul. He should've disappeared at least for a while. He could've lived like a recluse in hiding with Varys's aid. I don't buy him joining Dany's advisory board. HIs whole presence in Essos just feels fake to me. Overcoming the murder he committed undermines the weight of the act.

Yara's probably alright, if not just a tad too dismissive. Olenna straight up gave the worst advice. She's probably the most selfish and the most careless, not unlike Cersei in an ironic way.
she watched her lover and father of her children have his brains exploded in front of her eyes. it's likely she developed severe PTSD from that - and with that, came a warped sense of justice and revenge. I am not justifying her actions but I can understand from a point of view.
Olenna gave the best advice though; you don't blindly follow the advice of your counsel. It gets you killed like Tommen. You have to be able to take advice and stay two steps ahead yourself, so you know which way to go.

You do realise the only reason that happend was to even the odds between dany and cersei? If you look at the hole plan geografically it doesn't make sense, because when they sailed from meeren to dragonstone they passed sunspear and dorne anyway, Why would they sail pass dorne then sail back AND THEN SAIL UP AGAIN. But yeah, D&D wanted to make dany weaker and cersei stronger. It would indeed be boring if dany just flew over kings landing and burned the red keep down, hence winning the war in a single episode.

After watching all of game of thrones and years passing by what happened made no sense. Tyrion was trying to save his sister and brother- period. He didn’t care about Danny winning more than making sure his sister and brother were safe.

Also Tyrion must have learned a long way back that Ellaria poisoned Myrcella. Davos discovered Shireen's death more freshly by the time the Battle of the Bastards began and afterwards it sunk into him when he confronted Melisandre. The timing of discovery and confrontation is what made Davos angrier and broken to tears whereas Tyrion had already his time to shed tears for his niece and didn't have time up until the war council to give Ellaria grief.

Well, he took her alive, presumably as the "gift" he promised Cersei. My guess would be Cersei pays Ellaria for murdering her daughter by killing Ellaria's daughter in front of her, then letting the Clegane have her for a while. This would not only be deeply satisfying for everyone who hates Ellaria, it would also allow Cersei to go further down the madness route, without Jaime objecting too much since he'll be even angrier about Myrcella's death than Cersei.

If Dany had taken Lady Tyrell's advice right after hearing it, she wouldn't have lost them under diplomatic thinking. Asking nicely or plotting strategies has never been Dany's success. Everything she has accomplished has been based on her powerful actions and demonstrations with her dragons by her side while the people kept dragging her down. It is a shame she will just figure it out by next episode when she is almost losing. We know she cares for innocents but this is what's making her lose while ruthless CerSIe wouldn't give a fuck which is why she's winning .

Poisoning Marcella was a cunt thing to do. And served no real purpose. Olenna was at least protecting Margerey when she poisoned Joffery. Ellaria poisoned Marcella purely out of spite.
Ellaria, Yara, and Olenna were right in this scene. In war, innocent people die, yet Dany insists on trying to take the Iron Throne without killing any innocent people which thus far has lost her all her allies.

Dany has never really had an older female figure in her life. She’s had men like Barristan, Jorah, and even Ilyrio, but this may be the first time she’s had a real heart-to-heart and council with another woman (excluding Missandei, who’s around her age). I WISH we got more scenes between these two!
