Hey I want this supercharger on my s10 blazer. I just have a stock sbc 10066036 with edelbroxk intake (under 30,000 miles) . I have power steering on bottom right and alternator hangs to the outer most top left (past valve covers) . Will the weiand 142 long nose clear everything ? The radiator is v8 s10 radiator in stock place! And what’s the best way to hear the whine from the charger even more !
It should clear that's what these are built for! You can hear plenty of the whining with Flow Masters. I have a video of driving this truck on the street with full exhaust on.
I'm considering one for my 400SBC but the long nose makes me nervous. It looks like it could become a weak point down the line. Hopefully has been well engineered.
I have one of those blowers on mine. Once I decided to put the smallest top pulley on, and the largest bottom pulley, just to see what would happen. I did that, ran it petal to the metal all out. It blew all the ceramics out of 3 spark plugs and left only the metal threaded part in the block. I don't know how much boost it was making, and probably got into some detonation to do something like that......So, don't do what I did.
@@dav197726 I'm guessing the old style serpentine setup off a 4.3? I have late model 4.3 pulleys and accessories but I think they'll stick out too far, I might grab some older accessories and run them on it. Thank you sir!
Nice! im looking to run a Weiand 6508-1. im running 9:1 comp, roller cam, all forged and balanced 350. any suggestions? im new to superchargers and alwase wanted to run one
@@dav197726 Is it best to have all forged internals to run one of these, even if you’re not drag racing them, and will they perform right with pump gas?

What's your compression ratio?
Try a product called water wetter. It really works I have used it on more than vehicle. 210 is really not too high most newer cars run at 210 anyway.

I have a 383 with brodix heads good radiator, and I think that is running a bit hot, 210 like and 10 minutes. how hot does your vehicle runs?

I did put the small pulley on top and blow a head gasket out the side!! LOL
@@dav197726 Ahhh....Good Times, Good Times. 🙂 MLS Headgaskets are the only ones that ever worked for me. Expensive but worth it.

bradblok it is a Comp roller cam XR 294. I have a video on here of the truck with this cam before the blower.
What water pump and pulleys are you using? I have that blower but don't know which water pump style and pulleys to use that'll fit best.
It's just the stock water pump with aluminum pulley. Had to use the factory balancer pulley to fit the blower pulley to the crankshaft.

Absolutely zero clearance on that radiator but I like it. Belt changes are a bitch but it hits a 12sec qrtr mile.

To be honest I don't know. Never put it on a Dyno, but trust me you can feel the difference!!

@@19ADAM80 They are built to not hurt a stock engine and mine ran pump gas just fine. I was running a stock crank and rods.
