People who don't know cars say only 400 hp You take a stock 350 Vortech TBI, TPI or a 4 BBL from 1980-2000 it's power ranges (except vettes and camaro z28 etc) anywhere in the range of 150-250 hp Adding a blower like this adds at least 100 hp and along with tuning this is a great everyday 400 hp engine
@Scram Jam 500-600hp, you got your money's worth. 400 hp. The right cam, compression ratio, heads you can get over 400hp n/a. $6k for 400hp? What a waste.
Boomers who think they know cars think this is a good everyday motor. 400 horsepower is so easily attainable for so cheap these days. Decent cam and intake, flat tops, headers and some vortec heads will put a SBC right at 400.
@@willparker3170 Actually it is a good daily, hp doesnt mean anything with a blower. This engine will make huge torque everywhere. Have you owned a sbc with these blowers? THey rip
Sure it makes more than 400 tq has to be around 5+- It will leave many cammed lsx in the dust. Too many of you obviously have 0 experience with these by your comments. At least he didnt claim some huge # like most on yt do. Nice build!
i myself am building a setup like this i got a good wrench 350sb that has a comp cams 270h in it with about 470lift and iron dog turd heads but i was going to get a set of blueprint heads 64cc then top it with the 144 supercharger i figured a combo like this will be around 420-500hp and still be able to run on the streets fine also depending on pully size and how much boost you running i plan on running more on the lower end around 5-8psi dont wanna blow it up just want it to be quick on the streets and be able to roast tires and or take to the strip and hook and go with some slicks if i wanna have a track day to play around.
Did anyone catch the oil pressure? It looked good at first. But when, looking at the oil gauge in the cluster after break at idle, pressure appeared to be 25 psi... to low. My BBC and SBC runs at 60 to 65 psi at idle when cold then drops down to 55 to 60. That's with 20-50 racing oil. Never, does the oil pressure drop below 10 psi per 1,000 RPMS. It is important to keep the crankshaft off the main and rods bearings.
@@383BLOWNThat's good to know. I started my Dart Little M, 415 SBC this morning, went to 65 cold after around town down to 55 psi at idle. Just a little concerned, when you hit the gas and go into boost before oil pressure has a chance to rise. I like to make certain the crankshaft stays off the bearings. Make sure run some zink additive. I run it in my roller cam, roller rockers, roller fuel pump pushrod and gear drive. I love my 144 and my 8-71. I got tired of filling up the bottle. Have fun.. be safe..
What year and compressionn ratio was that 350 engine block before the rebuild? and did you stay with a hydrualic cam & lifters or do the roller stuff. Thank you sir for posting this video, seldom do the viewers get to see the engine run after rebuilding.
Yes that would be rather expensive compared to here In the states but it would depend a lot on how much hands on you do as well labor costs add up quickly

10 : 1 compression with a supercharger knocks the tails off of cast pistons
this engine have 9.5:1 cr
Hello can you do a video on how to use that timing light I have the same one and I don't know if I am using it right
where did you get those valve head covers.
They look realy nice.
I need a nice little 350 like that in my 1980 Camaro

Hello
no problem, the oil is 25 psi @ idle when it is hot and goes up to 65/70 psi accelerating or on the road

How much would a build like that run me?
hello, this preparation cost about 8500 euros ..
About 8k
Very sweet man !!! can you tell me how tall the blower and carb is from the lifter valley front wall up? thanks a lot
10.43in ..
Yo quiero ver otros modelos asi como este pero otros tipos de tapas varvulas en otros colores
y yo quero putas con nalgas grandes!
Might be a weird question but that mufflers are on that? Also what kind of cam is that thing running?
Love it

thank you for your comment, the intake manifold is sold with the blower, the heads are SUMMIT RACING ...

roughly how much did this build cost? i’m thinking about putting a supercharger on my 350

I am in France so the price of the parts is expensive because of the customs taxes and shipping
this full engine was about 6000 dollars

Would you tell me what kind of blower this is? Looking for one and this one seems like the right size
144 B&M blower
AKA Weiand 144 Blower. Because B&M is no longer in business.
The Yellow Tag on the side of the Blower says "Weiand"
What are the specs on build ? Pistons, heads, etc ? Thanks in advance !

a flat top 350 with 64 cc is closer to 10.0:1 compression depending on the valve reliefs but it's still within reason

This engine is not for racing, only for the road, it is not a very big camshaft .... this is the customer's request ..
I guess he TOLD yo ass...
Yeah go daily drive a small block that makes 500 NA.
I've been thinking about using this to make 400hp while keeping a lower profile camshaft.
How tall is the blower???
the greatest height is 5.92in. at the rear ..
Thank you
to much valve spring seat pressure with supercharger will make parts look like that cam and lifters did.
