FYI: 1:57:58 Scott Tijerina is a UA-camr (KillScottKill, is his channel name). He is a big Trails fan and is one of the translators on Geofront (the fanbase group that did the English translation patches for Zero and Azure before Falcom coordinated with them to make these official English releases a few years ago). Sadly, he passed away before these official English versions got released though he's still part of the team that worked on these official releases but he got really sick. It's nice to include him in the closing credits. He is a big part of why we got these translated versions of the Crossbell arc.
Okay so Azure Demiourgos (kickass boss theme aside), might be one of the most difficult boss fights in the series. Phase one starts with it summoning four adds, complete with two stacks of immunity and art reflect which they can reset. In order to advance to phase two, you need to kill the adds before they can be absorbed by Demiourgos, which happens automatically if they are left at low health for too long. Each add absorbed rewinds time by 15k health (you killed two during the last cycle so it rewinded back to 30k). This phase is a little weird since it doesn't directly indicate that the adds are important I don't think, but at least none of the attacks thrown at you here are super threatening. Phase two is the real fight. It can two shot you with most of it's attacks, many of which are undodgeable. It has a single target vanish and can dispel all buffs, including immunity, and is always able to follow that up with an attack. The adds it spawns are also very tough, can cast double immunity on themselves and infinitely respawn (though this does allow you to obtain the "Sixteen Going on Severing" achievement the chaddest way possible). Even with all of that, you can make the fight to go smoothly by forcing it to spam godless void, that can be done by casting only as long as it can be done before the bosses turn to minimize turn loss. That is until it's health gets low enough that it starts charging for reality collapse, it's a party wipe, no ifs, ands or buts, if that goes off it's a reset. The only way to avoid that is to go into burst mode and kill it first, if you have any burst orbs left you can use them both to charge it up and also to prolong the enhanced state once you start it up. I wouldn't blame anyone for calling this fight unfair just off the mechanics surrounding the fights endgame and requirements to beat it. But, it is worth it to see Lloyd talk to his brother one last time after everything, imagining a world where he doesn't die. Followed then by the heart to heart to bring KeA back to her family.
Congrats on finishing the game. Since you're currently playing Persona 5 you're gonna recognize a ton of voices in the EN dub. There's a massive overlap in voices which is really fun to pick up on.
I don't usually comment much, but now is probably the best time because it'sthe final episode. I really love your insight and analysis of the characters and events. It's quite fun to see your reactions. Looking forward to Cold Steel.
Such a bittersweet moment when you beat a game after such a long and eventful journey ❤ Happy New Years! and I hope you enjoy your Cold Steel journey as well. 🎉
Congrats on finishing this arc and thank you for another great journey I had the joy to experience again! I was looking forward to Crossbell since I first discovered your channel, and I couldn't be more satisfied. A lot of feelings came back and some new ones too! I'm glad you also enjoyed it Looking forward to everything there is to come!
Oh that was the longest one yet (I think) for me. I'm really excited for Cold Steel arc and hoping we see some other characters again like Arianrhod and Campanella.
Congratulations on finishing the Crossbell duology! I'm very much looking forward to watching your Cold Steel journey! I still advise you against playing the game both in Jap and Eng, but that is simply because I really hope you enjoy the new arc as much as you can without burnout.
Congratulations on beating the game! Fun language fact: the term Ein Sof is jewish in origin (Roughly: Ein = "Nothing" and Sof = "can be grasped") and refers to the (lack of) notion of what God(dess) was before having manifest or a relationship with the world (Arguably the "Zeroth" point). In some senses you could argue that it is KeA hiding in Ein Sof, a place within herself where she believes she has no definable relationship with the people of the world (KeA: I'm not a real person, I don't have a real heart or soul"). Lloyd finds her (Another translation of what he says when he enters is "Found You", which bookends nicely with the "Find Me" that we hear from the start of Zero) in talking with her gives her that definition of her relationship with the world, and they leave that place.
I think you'll like Cold Steel even though the vibes are pretty different compared to Crossbell and Sky. Congrats on beating the best (imo) Trails game!
Can’t wait for Cold Steel! I dunno if I’ve said it before, but I would recommend playing the cold steel games and beyond on at least hard, they tend to be on the easier side in my opinion. Ultimately we’re all here for your reactions to the story tho, so whatever you feel is best.
And with that the miracle of Azure to Zero comes to a close as they becomes one. A Cold Steel 1. Take it you'll react to the openings for these games as well at some point?
Even though I am disappointed that you are going to play the games going forward in English and leave the great Japanese voices behind, I hope you will enjoy the next arc as much as the previous ones.
Hey there! I wanted to follow up on this as there is a bit of a misconception. I plan to do the Crossbell arc however I do want to do it for English and Japanese (I don't want to leave the Japanese voices behind as I'm used to them too). I'll be posting up a comment in the community section shortly to address this further.

It always gets me that Lloyd has an actual choice to get his brother back, but it would mean losing the new family he has gained instead.

Trails never misses with its final boss themes
Congrats on beating the game! it was a long fight, but you did really good and it was worth it, to get KeA back, happy new year!
Thank you and Happy New Year to you!

"I'm glad they can still fly their flag even when under occupation"
Heh, pretty sure they can't. There's an implication in there.
Congratulations on beating the game!

Yep. The opening reactions will be coming out in the next day or so.
Woot, time for some English Dubs at last for the next series. Speaking of, any plans to play the Sky Remake as well later this year? 😁
naw english dub is cringe. im good on a teenager sounding like a 40 year old man. lol
@@cius2112 I disagree, the Trails dubs are really good.
I hope you're excited for Persona Simulator next 😅 (for legal reasons this is a joke)

oh we are going to cold steel arc now. The worst arc lol. Trails into Reverie was great tho.
I’ve always found it the best but I respect what other people think
Fair enough that people have their preferences. All the arcs are about the same in my book, they just have different strengths and weaknesses.
