Welcome to anime school of adventure. Curriculum includes history, military tactics, thwarting terrorist organizations and mathematics. Extra curricular activities include horseback riding, cooking, art, expeditions into ancient underground labyrinths and literature.
It looks like it starts with a large cast, but it balloons up to a GIGANTIC cast. I think by the time you finish the complete arc you have something like 50 characters.
In regards to spoilers, one thing you could do is not read chat when continuing with the story and then only reading chat when in combat/talking to npcs/side quests. I know with a series like this it's very easy to spoil something even if the person doesn't mean to 😅
Hey! I'm so giddy right now, so happy to watch you experience a new Trails arc for the first time! Won't be able to watch your LP live, cause it'll be 6-8 AM for me. But I'm looking forward to watching the VODs!
tips for field encounter: try to hit enemies from behind, lure them and wait for enemy back to position then hitting them. two condition of stunned enemy, the one like electricity surround (short time) you will get double advantage, and another one stars above head (more longer time) you will get triple advantage
if there are some random cuts, the scenes that advance on thier own are tied to the japanese line timings.

as you've guessed by now the trails games were always full of cliches, and is nothing new. I would like to say however, that there is nothing wrong with using cliches and personally they dont bother me. Additionally trails have always deconstructed these cliches. They may start with the standard cliches but they always evolve and advance resulting in complex characters and events
First of all, I'm very happy to see how well received the stream was and how much fun you were having. The increase of views was expected given the popularity of this arc, and people stayed because your playthroughs are so good! Being honest, the change in format (from the initial plan) is not something I like very much. It's impossible to trust that the chat in this kind of stream won't ruin some things, especially in this arc. A lot of people love it and will spoil things/set expectations because they "can't" contain the excitement. A lot of people hate it and will spoil just for their twisted fun. But that's just a selfish (?) opinion I have. I really hope your journey will keep being awesome. I have no strong opinion about the voices. I played CS1 and 2 in english for the first time and enjoyed it a lot, then I went to FC and played everything in japanese (replayed 1 and 2), and I vastly prefer it. What matters the most here and makes the videos/streams so fun and memorable is you
Hey Lyff! Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate your honesty and forthrightness about the change. My concern was (which others had echoed as well) is that if I try to do my original plan, I'd get burned out pretty quick. I am open to changes and learning from experiences so we'll see how this run (the NG+ run will feature JP voices) go. I can then make a better informed decision as to how the next game and the rest of the arc will go.
@@elehayyme Oh, I agree with with you all about that! Doing 2 "runs" at the same time would probably be a lot. My mistake here. By initial plan, I meant the first experience with the game being on videos (the same way it already was) and NG+ on stream when the time comes
Ahh ok! I misunderstood you too then! My mistake as well but all good. That is an idea and thank you for that! I'm taking notes on people's feedback here and throughout this process so I can better determine how I can tackle next game!
Welcome to the game the game that got me into the series. I hope you enjoy the land of milk and honey and cold and steel. Oh and also class divides, can't forget those. 15:08 I mean, if you mispronounce anything important, chances are the game will correct you at some point, with the joys of voice acting. 2:50:55 However... "Carpechei", that one hurt. That choice between Machias and Jusis at the end there, is just who do you want to take to the end of the prologue. I have my preference but I'll leave ya to it.
Glad I got to drop into your stream briefly! I do have to admit, I am a Japanese dub enjoyer with JRPGs as I feel like the VAs have more skill to match the characters emotions, etc. Absolutely no shade thrown at the English VAs for Trails because I think they're good but something doesn't click for me in English. I will say though, I personally believe from CS3 onwards the English VA work is significantly improved, and in Daybreak it's very stellar (I still played in Japense for that though... can't teach an old dog new tricks lol) I hope you enjoy your playthrough, I'll be watching all the way through from the beginning this time!
will this game be done entirely on stream? or will it eventually switch to the previous format? also, I for one am glad you are doing the english voices, it makes the videos easier to follow along with. I usually have your vids on in the background when I am at work and while you read the text dialogue, you don't for voiced, so whenever an important voiced scene came up I had to stop and read the text in order to follow along
Just finished watching your re-stream, your live stream started at 1am on my side (i'm an asian) so I couldn't accompany you, looking forward to the next CS adventure
Guess I'll join in the "Who's your favorite character?": Fie is Best Girl, and Jusis is Best Boy. In fact, Fie is my #2 favorite Trails character of all time (after Renne). And honorable mentions go to Sara and Laura, who I absolutely adore even if I like Fie just a bit more.
@bokeronenjoyer you can still like a game even though it has bad voice acting. It can be a bit distracting but if everything else is great then I can push through it. For example Baten Kaitos. Great games but awful english voice acting.
In general a lot of old games have bad voice acting or at least bad voice direction which is often time a much greater problem (I think that was why the voice acting in Xenoblade 2 was so bad).
Ahh ok thank you for clarifiying! I understand some people don't care for the English VAs but I was concerned that the overall audio was the issue. If it was the latter, I could certainly work to correct it for next time. When it comes to the JP voices for this particular game, these will be coming in my NG+ playthrough.
I'm looking forward to hearing the Japanese voices when I go through the game in NG+! It'll be interesting to see how scenes differ in feeling based on delivery, etc.
The legend of rean. Trails of headpat
Wow congrats on making it to Cold Steel!!! Yay for JP voices in ng+
Thank you!!!

"LiTerature"......also you forgot Chess and fortune reading!
"Not enough, where mah giant robots at"
"Yeah, about that."
i'm glad you're playing this in english, the english voice cast is fantastic

Holy mittens that’s a lot!!

I hope the Live chat wont be too distracting for You as The Plot goes forward, thats the great Danger when You play those kind of Games
Thank you for the words of wisdom, Bobafett! I'll work on re-balancing that moving forward.
And thus we begin our journey alongside Rean Schwarzer and the students of Class 7. Buckle your seat belts and brace yourselves for an amazing arc
Good stream! I don't think I'll be able to tune into the stream a whole bunch, but I'll definitely be watching all the vods.

Sorry for the mispronounciations. Some words are a bit hard for me and I'll look that one up. Again, my apologies.
@@elehayyme Nothing wrong with it, all in good fun.

Hey there! This runthrough (English) will likely be stream only. The Japanese version is to be NG+

Everyone who says the English voice acting is trash never played a game with really bad voice acting :D and it gets better and better in later games.
why play a game with bad voice acting (not trash) instead of play it with great voice acting?

I just dont understand why chat is explaining stuff that she will find out as she plays, is that not spoiling?
Would love to watch someone new playing my fav saga but I just cant hear those voices.. I hope you have fun nevertheless
Hey there!
Is it the audio level or is it because of the English voices?
@@elehayyme Oh sorry, the audio is perfect, I just don't like the eng VAs as much as the jp one
Ahh ok thank you for clarifiying! I understand some people don't care for the English VAs but I was concerned that the overall audio was the issue. If it was the latter, I could certainly work to correct it for next time.

Japanese voices are better option as its more consistent. The more emotional scenes are done much better. Everyone sounds too happy in English.
I'm looking forward to hearing the Japanese voices when I go through the game in NG+! It'll be interesting to see how scenes differ in feeling based on delivery, etc.
Man, I'd been looking forward to this arc for over a year, but with the trash English voice actors, I just can't. I'm out.
Good riddance
I am going to do the JP voices for this game in my NG+ run!
I do love the voices and don’t want to lose out on that experience.
its not that deep brother
