    It’s amazing how humble and polite Elvis was. The biggest star ever and the most kind and gracious.

    To understand what brought E to this point in his life, read the book "Careless Love" by Peter Guralnick.

    I think I love to hear him talk just as much as I love to hear him sing . He might of been slurring a little bit in this interview though . He acted like he didn't want to be interviewed . Like .... leave me alone man or maybe he was nervous . Did you see he was breathing kinda heavy at times ? I'll always love him though . I am not going to start talking about his drug addiction . I just try to remember him as the best Entertainer in the world and how beautiful he was . Remembering the good things about him . Thanks for sharing this great video .

      @@gabrielemuller1469 Same here I used to take a lot of opiates and Elvis is clearly heavily medicated with opiates here. Probably morphine the one that really ruined his life was the Demerol that towards the end of his life he was injecting into his leg by himself. It's a tough thing to overcome I don't think he could quit. He was in too deep with it.

Elvis was a very sick man.... none of us knows the pain he was in.... how would you have delt with his pain.... there was no pain management back then.... and where did you hear he was injecting himself? Elvis was clearly under the influence of something and obese. . His speech was slurred. However when Parker said Jump. Elvis jumped. The producer said you must lose weight. Elvis somehow lost weight.That was a very unhappy man who had made a pact with the devil. Tom Parker. How Elvis managed to perform as well as he did for that Aloha is beyond my undestanding.

    I've always felt the 1972 Madison Square Garden press conference is the last time Elvis sounds "normal" and not heavily sedated. While I agree he seems stoned here, somewhere else it was pointed out that Elvis did this conference just a few hours after performing his midnight show in Vegas, so he'd both been dehydrated a while and up for a while (he usually went to sleep around dawn/early morning and had to stay awake for this conference) and this is what's lending to him seeming reserved and withdrawn.

      @@thomasandersen2938 Such is the life of a performer. Compared to others in the music field Elvis had it easy. 1month engagements in Vegas, twice a year, where he had to go from his suite to the stage and never in his career of 20 plus years did he tour outside of the US. Sorry, he did 3 shows in 3 Canadian cities in 1957.
      Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, all in their 80s and still doing world tours.

      @@tellittothemarines704 I'm sorry, what? Are you saying Elvis never sang outside Vegas twice a year? I mean, he had 109 concerts in 1976 when he was in really bad shape and had to cancel some shows...but he had it easy, right.

    • @tellittothemarines704
      @tellittothemarines704 Рік тому +1

      @@adamcekica I didn't mean that Elvis never sang outside of Vegas. I meant that Elvis never experienced the hardship of being out on a world tour like every other musical act does. Also, he was barely in his forties at the time of his death and he was in "really bad shape" because of self abuse and an overall unhealthy lifestyle.

      @@tellittothemarines704 Being on a world tour or touring the US, it's a tour whatever you wanna call it...btw, Elvis really wanted to tour worldwide, but the Colonel thought otherwise... Yes he was in his 40's, but you can't deny two shows a day, seven days a week take their toll, especially with a high-energy performer like Elvis was.

      I believe it was a big deal because Elvis Presley was the first entertainer to have done a TV show via satellite broadcast, it was also the biggest audience besides the first men to walk on the moon, and there was no ticket price for the show, the live audience paid as much as they could afford and the money goes to Kui Lee Cancer fund, he was popular in Hawaii, singer/songwriter who died young from cancer, Elvis sang " I'll Remember You " that was originally Kui Lee's. So yeah. This concert, was huge and it gave Elvis challenges and the opportunity to do his best, he even loses weight for the show and lived a clean life, I read in some books he took off drugs for these shows. He TCB and he delivered 👍👍👍👍👍👍

      @@pkcollins8300 you are the most welcome ❤️ I am happy to share anything Elvis, his history, or facts... This concert was beyond music, it was a showcase of Elvis Presley's generosity, they raised in the amount of 75.000 dollars for Kui Lee Cancer Funds, which is a lot of money if you convert to today's with inflation = ( $500,466.22 )
