A great, simple DIY... I had an old dresser that was so bad I couldn't give it away so I took it to the dump... but before that I kept a few of the drawers which were the perfect size to go under my bed. I removed the track on the bottom and that was that. They just slid out (on carpet) from underneath. If you have hard floors attach felt or even little wheels. Paint and fun handles and you saved a ton of money.
Wrinkle Release Spray 1 ¾ cup of warm water 1 tablespoon of distilled white vinegar 1 teaspoon of hair conditioner Add the 3 ingredients to a spray bottle and shake well then spray the fabric with the wrinkle releaser, then gently tug your item to help remove the wrinkles or smooth out wrinkles with your hands
My favorite alternative lighting -- draping faux trees in our living room and dining room with white Christmas lights. We have a very small dining room and living room and with one lit faux tree on one end and one on the other its the perfect amount of soft light.
You can take the adhesive furniture felt pads, spray a spritz of perfume or drop or two of essential oils and then stick them inside a dresser drawer or closet or bottom of Inside of trash can, etc.
Great hacks! When I saw the furniture jack I gasped like I'd seen a pot of gold 😂. I just moved a wardrobe that's in a very tight spot between a wall and a bed and now I can't slide it back to the wall because the carpet prevents it and I can't get leverage. Will get some sliders for sure.
Update - I used some sliders and that sucker moves as if on ice. They are a really ugly colour so I’m going to paint them to blend with the carpet but I’m so happy I can move it now 👏🏻
Our bed is pretty high, and I like to store my shoes under my bed. I did buy the "drawers" on wheels, but I put a more structured bed skirt (the one with pleats) on to cover the storage boxes. I also installed shelves in our guest bath with the sticky tape, and they have been up for almost 2 years! I also used the same concept with a paper towel holder that we installed inside one of our kitchen cabinets, and I am SO thrilled to have them now hidden away, instead of on top of the counter (on a holder!) And, I use fabric spray all the time, so I'll have to look at Grove's version!

I follow and watch some home decor channels but honestly they are high design or some of my fav DIY people have gone over to selling products. I do still watch them but I didn't originally because they sell stencils and paints I cant afford to buy. You are my kind of person! I have lived used most of my life and I upcycle sew my clothing and make jean bags and totes. Im 69 now but can always learn from anywone with great ideas! My main issue is pulling things together! Interesting note...when I first started sewing stitch witchery did not have glue on it. It was to encase or strengthen seams. So I search thrift for the old kind!!! Sorry but being a purist sewist I say no glue in sewing. But whatever gets people the dreams they want is ok by me!! 😊 I want to look at all your yard ideas too! Oh Im in Southern Calif too. Grew up in Anaheim OC but retired to inland high desert. Still learning a new plant zone! Super hot in summer and snows a bit in winter!
Great ideas. Re bonus tip: a spray bottle with plain water is all you need to de-wrinkle bedclothes. An extra benefit is that smoothing the lightly dampened surface with your hand effectively gathers up pet hair, too.
Thanks! I’ve used just water before but then it took forever to dry. I think there’s something in the spray that helps it dry faster? Not sure but that’s my experience. I just felt weird about dousing my bed with water too🤷🏼♀️

Great video! Extra fab due to the added smugness when you mention the furniture sliders (for carpet)..I’m a serial furniture move-arounder 😂 and these are a godsend. Also work on my vinyl flooring in my kitchen and bathroom. I’ll also recommend a tension shower basket thingy- mine is OXO goodgrips, I’m in the UK but sure the brand is available internationally? Probably on the more expensive side as these things go but it’s super sturdy and for something that’s basically white plastic and brushed aluminium looks quite smart and fairly easy to clean.
Adding the furniture ‘jack’ to my bday/xmas wish list!. That would come in handy for my quarterly rearranging - i mean refreshing lol. Btw a really inexpensive hack - depending on your style i guess- to hide the under the bed storage is adding a bed skirt. I love the ones that are basically a giant garter around the bed .. no more struggling to lift the mattress & somehow get the skirt underneath without slipping all over ! Love your videos 🫶🏼 i dont rent anymore, but i still dont always like putting holes in my walls ..& running electric is EXPENSIVE! so your tips are always so helpful! ♥️
Hack for shower. Use a small tote box. Keep it elsewhere. Put what u need for todays shower and tote the things to the bathroom. We DO NOT need everything in our shower ALL the time. Each family member has their own tote. I have nothing in my shower. You would not believe how much space and how relaxing it is to not have all that clutter. It’s also quick and easy to clean as you don’t need to remove anything to clean.
Thanks! I unfortunately don’t have the storage space to store multiple shower totes while they’re not in use but I did this when I had a bunch of roommates in college! I had to store my tote in my closet so it feels luxurious to finally have my things in the shower and displayed in an aesthetically pleasing way 😊
I buy one bottle of shampoo No conditioner as we all have oily hair We use Norwexs so no soap Men’s shaving cream for legs & pits That’s it Razors we keep in linen closet as the steam in bathrm n esp shower dulls the blades.

I'm gonna have to get some of that museum gel I live in a mobile home and its right by the train tracks so when a train goes by it shakes the whole house sometimes
My partner collects coins and some of the air tight cases were shipped with velvet foam kind of pads with holes punched out to place them in..I think.....He ordered many things. But they also used the circle cout outs from them to throw in like packing pellets. I started saving them all. They are stiff foam covered with velvet type material. Free furniture pads. If you know anyone that really into coin world ask them for them. Yes. We lost a few pieces in a huge of very vintage dishes in an earthquake up here. It was 7.2 and we were not the close epicenter!. Everything has museum putty on it now!
Not at all! I wouldn’t use them or promote how helpful they are if they caused issues. I have used them many times on these floors. My only recommendation as I said was to make sure your floors are clean. Dragging a pebble for example could scratch the floors. But that can happen with anything.
