Just found your channel and I'm loving it. Can't stop watching all nice camps, shelters you have built and food you are cooking. Wonderful channel and great work mate. Regards from Finland
I really like the raised shelter. You've got an excellent imagination. Your cooking skills are off the chain. It always looks so delicious. You also have a keen eye for videoing nature. Always enjoy watching your videos.
hi it is nice to see you use your ax with the ginger bruce addition. also.....this is truly the most beautiful camp..in my eyes thank you for sharing you and your friends are a joy for us to watch.
Greetings from the state of Michigan. I really enjoy your videos, your camp sites are amazing. I want to reach through the screen and have a bite of the food because it looks so tasty.
i love all your bideos!! your camp cookery ❤❤ your locations.. going through the journey with u is amaaazing!! lol in anticipation of your next video! thanks for sharing!👍😉👍☺😊☺😊👍😉👍
always a great video I really enjoy watching your vedoes I didn't understand the coin in the rock thing I'll have to look into that keep up with your vedoes look forward to seeing more wish you all the very best my friend
Great vid like always and that lamb wow, lamb us my favorite meat, but I must say I'd have to have mint sauce with mine, same as apple sauce with pork, horseradish sauce with beef lol. These woods look wonderful, you're one lucky young man. ATB 🙂🙂🙂
Hi john mrs ned here ,ned told me you liked the look of our toad in the hole lol just a small hand full of nettles and sage onion really chopped really fine usual seasoning ,good for inflamation, am nicking your home made burger idea lol :) x
What a fantastic spot! Primordial forest, streams and rivers a wonderful place even in the rain! One question- you bring a LOT of meat- steak, lamb, sausages. (Yum!) Do you have any cold storage or is the meat OK for the short time until you cook it?
Nice video john there is no one on you tube that camps like you do or eats like you do in the woods. I have a question in the video the water looks real murky but water coming down the rocks looked much cleaner was that a video glitch or is there a reason. Keep up the fantastic work and we'll see you on the next one.
Yeah can be the speed it moves but the river water was like sheep dip all the rain coming off the sheep and lamb land thanks for watching dude hope your well
The water is in fact very, very clean, the reason for the brown colour is tanning from the peat on the high moors the water comes down from. There is no industry in this area only farming. If that river was polluted to the extent it was that colour there would be none of the beautiful greenery that is abundant.
Another awesome video Chef but I'm curious why don't you own a car or a motorcycle like Tim. Can't wait to see the finished raised shelter Keep the videos coming Chef
John such a peaceful area, I like when u make ur videos there it's a different atmosphere. when will u fish again? would like to see u catch fresh fish and cook it in the fire. Thanks Dolores
I have never carried a ax to a camp site. Never needed one. But, what about your ax? Is it the same ax as a loggers single blade ax? Or is it lighter, and shorter handle?
That farley solid fungus that was in the ground was a Lycoperdon pyriforme, Stump Puffball, they are lovely co0ked with wild garlic & butter with seasalt & black cracked pepper, they are normally round the one you came by was ate by slugs. Uk only get the wo0d type. You can come across ones as large as your head no joke anyway go0d video.
your very welcome there is another kind of lo0kalike close but when you open it l0oks purple and not inviting @ all, puffballs are always white so yea you will never mistake them. When you squeeze a puffball when past their sell by date they release a mustard lo0king powder into the air that is next year generation of them lol so 2 speak.
I was wondering if you had given any thought to trying to bring a fishing rod and an airgun for hunting squirrels, rabbits or other wild game to eat while camping?
In England it's called 'back' bacon as opposed to 'streaky' bacon. Dry cured is best, good luck finding it in the States you will not be disappointed if you do. Britain would cease to exist if they took away our bacon sandwiches, of this I am certain. The only problem I had with John's bacon roll was he used 'red sauce' this is a crime. Bacon 'rolls' or 'sarnies' should be served with 'brown' sauce. Wars have been fought over this issue.
Haha! This is going to take some getting used to watching you on the TV! The water rushed right through the screen hit me washed me right off the edge of the bed flipped me on the floor and washed me up against the closest doors! lol... Ok I think I've figured it out! 1 you like DPM, 2 You ain't from Scotland, and 3 Marmite is the 😈!...lol...the two mushroom's were wild Wanker mushroom and the one ya didn't know was a Cumbria 👽 Alien mushroom like on the movie don't ever put ya face over that thing less ya want a alien baby in ya belly! Thanks chef was most enjoyable and yes next time we will have to invite little 195 to dinner at the spit pole! ;-) ATB chef mark in Texas!
At time mark 10.16 a dark shadow moves between the v shaped tree or the right side of the screen had to watch it 4 or 5 times I thought my eyes were playing tricks
I'm not the type of person to go build a shelter and sleep in it but I think you should shave down the logs on the raised shelter so it's flat. Like so he can see

Hey your driving in the wrong side! lol! lobe what you do !👍
Hahaha no it's the way it's don in England
Americans drive on the 'right' side of the road, The British drive on the 'correct' side of the road. :)
Love it! great video.

Another great vid.Just out of curiosity, what's the worst situation that you've ever found yourself in whilst doing a solo camp?
Nothing to bad running from falling trees Iv been woken up by angry farmers at 1 am and threatened to burn my hammock out the trees lol all sorts
Angry farmer's?,....oop's bugger!,hahaha
Yeah one time I got confused about a permission I got and I camped on the wrong side of the river th wear the permission was and the farmers found me
Did you get that on video?,.....hahaha
Do you need a mosquito net or not?.i know we don't normally get lots in England
No You don't need one I have one on my hammock but they never bother me
I was wondering if you had given any thought to trying to bring a fishing rod and an airgun for hunting squirrels, rabbits or other wild game to eat while camping?
Still drivin the wrong way, mate. :)
No you are lol
Do you go to woods just to eat? That is a lot of food for one guy to be ruffing in woods. Dessert too!
