I like watching people build a fire with fire steel. Never saw one till this year. I've got a couple now. Will use them on vacation this summer.

You eat better than anyone I know while camping although I was treated to some awesome jambalaya and boudin balls at a week long camp about 5 years ago. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work !

I like the way you have utilized your environment and built your camp accordingly..; It makes good sense to work like that and to leave each camp with some new creation.., like this one with a chopping block, which may not sound like a big deal but I don't think I have seen on on any of the other camps, although, they have their own specialty. I commend you for your creativeness; you never know when it will be a life-saver.

There are a lot of nice wild edibles at the river camp, if you like that kind of thing. I enjoyed watching you camp in the rain and old faithful tarp lives on. It is raining bunches here in the states as I watched this video. Thanks for another great camping trip.

absolutely great! I don't have a computer and as long as I have watched you I have used my phone screen and it's hard because of my vision trouble and yesterday my son installed a device to watch Netflix on my TV and said I could watch UA-cam on it too ! :-) So I watched you on my 40 inch WOW!!!! What a difference when you were cooking the Burger on the grill some Grease popped and shot through the screen and hit me in the cheek! It must have a TARDIS App and it default is enabled so will be able to climb through and root around camp! Thanks for the video! will be ready next time! (-;€

hello lovely lad, shame you had to do the roundabout circle. But you are always a pleasure to watch, you seem like a kind gentle soul. In the way you look at the wild flowers, the fungi on trees the beauty of the sunset, the little fishy you put back into the stream, and left the mother bird to sit on her nest in your moss camp. Yep its 2019, I do have recent notifications but I am saving them for a rainy day. : )

Hello from the U.S, in Georgia. I recently started watching your videos and find them relaxing. I like the ones when you camp in the rain and listening to the rain on the tarps at night is a great way to de stress. I also enjoy your cooking. There is nothing as good as food cooked over a wood fire.

The weathers been a bit weird this year so far. We've just had the driest April & May in years, (that's why the river is so low like you said), we had 2 weeks of hot summer sunshine in spring and now we're getting Autumnal wind & rain in early summer..
I know you're in N,E England and I'm in N,E Ireland but we're getting a pretty similar mix.

John, I see you using cotton, you say from the medicine cabinet, but you do know that dryer lint is basically used cotton. it works great too. I save all ours and it drives my wife crazy. lolol.

@carlisle195 - loving these videos, working my way through them all.
one question - could you do a video about camp hygiene and how you maintain it in camp. What do you do with all the donut bags and bacon wrappers? how do you keep clean? what latrine facilities you have built at each camp etc...
not a pleasant topic, but that is the one bit I see missing from all your camps and would like to know how you have worked the solutions into your camps.
    Cheers!!
