I can't help but grin when I think of how well this camp is camoflauged but the odor of that lamb is wafting its distinct odor for a mile in every direction. Kinda gives away the location. Lol

This is on my 'Saved' UA-cam videos. Just got done with your April 2019 Live Cast where you noted that the moss camp succumbed to a hard winter. I am very thankful that you have memorialized this, maybe the finest version, of the moss camp. Plank floor; raised beds; beautiful mossing and a fine fire. Does not get better on a cold night! This is ONE EPIC CAMP build; one for the ages. This is a JOY to revisit. If I lived in our Pacific Northwest, I would recreate this in a heartbeat.

One of my LIKED videos, just revisited it. You and Adam made a wonderful moss camp, the stuff of dreams. Mossed enclosure, comfortable long bench by the fire, raised beds inside the shelter. Now just a favorite memory...since it was burned out.

We had most of the popular US shows on tv here. Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Happy Days, Munsters, Adam's Family, Dallas, Dynasty, Nightrider, Dukes of Hazard and lots more. Usually a year or few years after they aired for you guys but some but some just a few months after.
We have the advantage of not needing shows dubbed or subtitled and the budgets were much higher than the stuff produced here so was useful to fill up the schedule on a sunday afternoon.

Hi guys! Beautiful country, yeah? Lovely! You could build an aid to carry the moss: a travoi. Two long branches tie together at the top. Make a big "V" & tie in a couple of crosses to make an "A" then drape the tarp over them & tie down to frame. Drag from the point. Just came to mind while watching you gather moss from that bank. All the best to you!

It's becoming more of a holiday home than a bush camp, lol. Looks jolly awesome though. All the best

I miss the English and Welsh lamb, US lamb always seems to taste like an old sheep. We usually manage to find some Aussie lamb which aint too bad with a bit of mint sauce.

you should water the moss to keep it healthy and stop it drying out

      It's England. Probably not necessary.

Dave Pritchard in the winter maybe not but with it been close to the fire and if we do get a couple good warm dry week in the summer it will soon dry out again.

mrRobbins999 good idea but moss is designed to survive droughts and will just bloom up as soon as its exposed to water again its roots are only for grabbing the ground it's on its fully self sufficient we had that in biology class so as long as it doesn't burn it should do just fine

@Brisdad53 That's before it was pulled out of the ground and thrown on top of someone's shelter.

Agree and you can see its dying hence their collection. Seems a river is nearby, not hard to water moss, collection tub higher up and a hose full of tiny holes?
