    I gotta bring my car in to the shop. The horn quit working. I think I’m low on horn fluid. 😯

    Great video. What is the purpose of the little squarish grommet gasket on the inner middle of the cover? It looks like it communicates with a port going down the block. Along the top of the cover there are two evacuation channels (?) can you explain what are those? Thank you.

    What was the part number for the valve cover gasket and was this a 17 Honda Accord Sport ?

      Hey bud thanks for the question, I do not remember or have the part number. It should be the same on a Sport. If there is a turbo it will still basically be the same but you have to remove a little bit more. The 1.5 non turbo is the same…. If turbo, I think you have to remove 1 coolant line, 3 vacuum lines total, plus everything in this vid. Now that I realize I never did a video on a 1.5 Turbo valve cover gasket, I probably will

    What do you use to clean the the valve cover at the end ...Brake Cleaner ?

    • @maxsmoviechannel2025
      @maxsmoviechannel2025  Рік тому +1

      Yes it was brake cleaner, and I use either a plastic trim tool or (very carefully) a flathead pocket screwdriver to remove the old gasket

      @@maxsmoviechannel2025 One last Question do you have a video show how to replace the Serpentine belt on a 2017 Honda Accord Sport ?

    • @maxsmoviechannel2025
      @maxsmoviechannel2025  Рік тому +1

      I actually don’t but I can make one when I get another one of those jobs. For them I like to route the new belt onto the pulleys from under the car with the passenger front wheel off, then I pop the wheel well platic clips and get the belt on mostly every pulley. Then I lower the car and move the tensioner to slip it onto the last pulley. I’ll make a video on it, once I get another 17 accord, good idea man.

    Does the 2017 Honda Accord have spark plug tube seals to replace?

    • @maxsmoviechannel2025
      @maxsmoviechannel2025  9 місяців тому +1

      Great question, yes. If you pull a coil out and they have oil on them, it’s time to replace the spark plug tube seals. To do so you remove the valve cover gasket and they are located there. Once you remove the valve cover gasket you may as well repalce that also. I have a video on the valve cover gasket if you look in my channel

    You work for Honda? How much for a job like this there?

    • @maxsmoviechannel2025
      @maxsmoviechannel2025  10 місяців тому

      I charge 1.5 hours for this repair. So 1.5 multiplied by the shop labor rate. Although it may be a different estimate in different shops, some may charge 2 hours

      I want to say around 50k-60k? I can’t remember exactly, but these gaskets can go at any time. I’ve seen them go at 13k. Seen some that have lasted 120k with the original gasket!
