    Thanks for your effort to put this video. I think my wife 2018 honda crv LX same thing with the valve cover. It helps me a lot and gave me confident to DIY it.

    Very nicely done. I like your idea of putting those nuts in what looked like cardboard so that they go back in the exam same spot. That was also a good tip about putting the Permatex on the gasket "corners" on the valve cover itself. I just did my '04 Honda Accord and hit those 4 spots on the engine with the black (oil resistant) Permatex but didn't put it on the gasket.
    My only negative comment (and I know you were comfortable with it) was not pulling the negative battery terminal. I'd much rather have to reprogram my radio than risk frying something. To each his/her own though. Thanks very much for the effort!
    I'm seeing signs of an oil leak around the valve cover gasket at 115,000 miles. I think that's a pretty good run for a rubber gasket. I'll be doing this in June.

      Thank you for your comment. I Totally agree with you if someone is not comfortable I would suggest pulling the negative battery terminal or just be on the safe side.

    Well made video. What is the purpose of the little squarish gasket on the middle of the cover? It looks like it communicates with a port going down the block.

      It’s like a breather

      Do you know how this breather or valve cover integrated PCV system works in this particular cover?

    Hi, great video
    . I followed the video instructions and when I was done there were no warning lights on my dash and a few hours later when I turned my car all the lights went on … please help

      You might have something lose and not tighten all the way. Go back and make sure whatever you taking apart is all put back together. What you need to do is get a scanner and read the code to see what all the lights is. If you don’t have a scanner buy a cheap one or go to your local auto parts store and they can pull theses code up for you. From there we can fix those lights issue.

      @@KLIMPORTS thank you very much for your response. I forgot to plug one of the sensors and I cleaned the corrosion on the battery which was pretty bad. After those two things the lights went off and car running smooth. Thank you so much!!

    Great video. Is it normal to change the valve cover gasket less than 150k miles? I have a little oil leaking from my 2014 accord sport.

      @KLIMPORTS  11 місяців тому +1

      Yes it’s normal to change a valve cover gasket when you see a oil leak from there. The rubber gasket gets hard and broken down over a period of time.

    My 16 sport doesn’t have those spark plug tube seals. Mine doesn’t have the screws.

      Guess it’s a sport so your engine is different compared to a base model.

    that has to be over 100-150K miles if there's oil leak on the valve cover.
