It' s important to point out how measured, self- contained and felt this guitar solo was, every note is distilled with a lyrical sense, in an era of shredders Adrian Vandenberg never forgot how to be musical with less notes
Yeah I agree. The generation guitars were incredible too. I have the Steve cropper model. But the Peavey Vandenberg was the perfect shred guitar. But it didn't have a Floyd Rose, some Kahler knock off that was ok. Not to say Kahler didn't have good stuff.
First cool Peavey guitar they ever built. Must have paid him a ton of 💰💰 to come on board. Love the upside down headstock and surprisingly, the shape. I typically am more into the Kramer Baretta or George Lynch ESP hockey stick headstocks. I prefer the shorter Baretta headstock on Kramers than I do the slightly longer one on Eddie's Kramer. It's almost as long as an Explorer headstock.
Vandenberg was far more experienced/talented than folks knew. He never had the recognition and he was doing it in Europe long before we saw him in the US
Как давно это было. Я был в первых рядах . Девид кричал, почему вы так далеко? к сцене близко не было допуска. А на разогреве был мистер биг. Тоже не плохо.
The atmospheric part is pretty cool, but on the SoTT tour there was a shredding instrumental after this...i think after his "wrist injury" he got lazy or scared or something to put out fast and heavy stuff. This concert is a mess anyway. There are many people. Even on the roofs in the back, but not in front of the stage?
Gotta agree with ya, Doc. This was during the grunge days of "lead guitar shaming" so perhaps that is the reason the solo is so low key. For whatever reason, he just never sounded that good with David. He's much better doing his own music.
Wow i dont get it i thought that was some one posting a joke. How can you all write how great that was? Love vandenburg but he was really off that day. Listen to the way coverdale back anounced his solo. Now come on all you haters tell me how fucked up i am
I don’t get it.. he’s much better than this! It’s like he has some new effect that he wants to try out but really it’s not clicking. It’s like he’s not really getting the sound he wants. Snooze!
If anyone out theres struggling with insomnia, this will help you sleep..... If you want something to laugh at,watch his solo on Still of the Night ....
I met Adrian in Portland, Maine 1988. He talked with me and my late friend Josh. Made an impression that never left me.
Amazing story dude.
One of the very best guitarists ever. His performances in White Snake were sublime...
WoW !! what emotion for me 😮😢❤️🔥 Vibration 🥰🎸 Bravo Adrian Vandenberg !!💫
A real rock guitar showman!!! Legend!
It' s important to point out how measured, self- contained and felt this guitar solo was, every note is distilled with a lyrical sense, in an era of shredders Adrian Vandenberg never forgot how to be musical with less notes
He's on tour right now in the US with his band Vandenberg and co headlining with geoff tate from queensryke
En wij noemen hem Adje!
I changed my mind. This solo is excellent as is. Self expressive and natural.
Powerful video of the guitar solo
GOD Bless You 🎸🎸🎸
I came to check out this guitar because I saw it on NAM and looks beast! Really miss the soul of old school guitarist man.
Amazing solo woaw this hamonic IS insane
Love that guitar. One of Peavey's coolest models.
and he's running through Peavey stacks.. all Peavey.. sounds good

Heel mooi, ad...!
Beautiful tone

Fucking amazing.
I would like to get the backing track of this incredible solo. Its amazing!!
My first impression long ago 😱😱🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Born and grown in Holland!
Taking an idea or two from Jeff Beck Where Were You
Spot on! was looking for a comment like this after watching the performance
wow till 92 they ruled the world and then there is no crowd anymore
How to get the seagull sound? I have a Vandenberg guitar. Want to get that sound
Toca muito
Thought it was cool it had feeling to it when everyone is trying to be flashy u get lost in what u hear sometimes simple rules
I have a 80s vandenberg mint
Die Adje kan er wel wat van!!
He kept trying to make it get better, but it never did. Too bad- he’s usually an awesome player.
adagio for strato
no.1 guitarist in the world
Nope
absolutely!
They don't come any better than Adrian Vandenburg.
In White Snake he had real presence ..

🎸🙋♀️Not lazy. I have a wrist injury & it’s frustrating & heartbreaking that I can’t do licks like before the drunk driver hit me.
@@marlahart2060same me 😢
I Love A.V.,How ever that volume swell/fade in solo was mediocre at best.Perhaps he was going for more of a moody ambience(spelling?).Which is cool.
That's a solo?
his pinky rules the tone knob, thats tricky. Flying dutchman!
indorock technique from the 50's & 60's, check out indorock guitarists from bands such as the tielman brothers, the black dynamites or the javalins.
Snooze. Such a great guitarist, does a boring solo like this. It's almost like a protest, it's so boring.

@@parkwaypro9838 his vandenberg stuff is much better. David came with the hook to save him from this solo😂
It is really nice in my opinion, much emotion.

🎸🎼💫🪔🐱
This reminds me Queen - Bijou
i thought it was refreshing, not the usual squigly-squigly stuff
don't talk nonsense guys, he is a great guitarist
Ето Херсон 😊
Three fans in the audience... which is five fans too many.
Ahummm...
Херсон-94.(Юг)
I don’t get it.. he’s much better than this! It’s like he has some new effect that he wants to try out but really it’s not clicking. It’s like he’s not really getting the sound he wants. Snooze!
The crowd is strange
joeblo23 don’t thing they heard the electric guitar before its alien to them pmsl
Only steve vai can fit his playing
If anyone out theres struggling with insomnia, this will help you sleep.....
If you want something to laugh at,watch his solo on Still of the Night ....
Thank god we have you then!
What are you talkin about you don't like his solo
Хм... Неожиданно плохо ведь сыграно
Like Gilmore / Pink Floyd
sounds a bit like Brian May
zzzzzzzz......ummm, what?
He put the crowd to sleep. It’s a rock show. Bad choice.
He trys to make his guitar cry like Sykes..but fails.
Not really
totally different style. Closest to Michael Schenker
Great guitarist but nothing compared to Eddie van halen
And Eddie is nothing compared to a lot of other guitar players.
Get off his nuts, he was never as great as his disciples made him out to be.
@@kwantoon ... according to you, but then again, nobody cares about your opinion.
@@UKSportsFan Apparently you cared about it enough to reply to it. So, what does that say about you?
@@kwantoonthank you for speaking the truth
Unimpressed
That solo sucked. Nothing like 87 solo
Sounds a bit Gary Moore to me.a watery dunluce.
That was really weak.
