If this song was released today it would blow people's skulls off. Like someone else said, time should have stopped in the 80's. Literally everything about life was better and music tops the list.
Everyone says that about every decade. Although.....so far we could have skipped over 2020 when speaking of a particular year. General consensus I think.
Absolute bullshit. Musicwise I will agree 100% Music was so amazing back then, the Line up of shows were so ridiculous, absolutely mental. But damn did the eighties have a shitload of problems too.
@@johnstitt2615 No they don't. No one says, "Gee, I'd sure like to go back to the great depression days. Sigh. I miss the 1930's." The Choctaw never say, "Remember back in the 1830's? Wasn't that a great decade?"
1980's were a strong epoch for Rock and ballads of this type were abundant - I just can't count how many great songs with strong melody were made through that period.
🎸🙋♀️💖Agree Vandenberg is the best of the best. I find it interesting you compare it to rap which isn’t even music. It’s some one talking with a machine. Haha Just saying😊
Yeah they dont want that shit. Hence what we have today. Middle class happy and having fun? No fucking way. The POS that own this prison planet have gone and done it this time. Dream about the 80z cuz its all we got.
There's plenty of talent and good music. The problem is the massive flood of bland, grey pop that all sounds the same. Proper rock is not heard on the radio anymore... I hear Imagine Dragons is what today's rock is... 😢
I fixed a Marshall amp a couple of times for him for the Whitesnake recordings in 1989. The third time he brought it in himself and made me demonstrate it was working after fixing it again. I played a few bars of this while he was standing there. My fingers were like rubber bands. Hell of a nice guy, though. Ended up he got a bad cabinet from Slash and I had to contact Slash for Adrian to get why it was blown. I ended up selling Adrian my Marshall head for a couple of Peavey VTM amps for my rig. I miss those days.
🎸🙋♀️💖WOW! Very cool! I played in 80s Metal bands. Adrian’s always been my fav! I’m also a guitar tech.. was Daddy’s girl & learned to fix everything. That’s awesome you experienced that time with Adrian!😊
That vandenberg singer had a killer kick ass voice amazing and vandenberg is a very underated guitarist so underated it's shameful the singer was very underated too !!! I remember hearing this song on the radio all the time and I was like who the f@#$ is that they kick ass !!! That song is a 80's friggen classic no doubt about it I mean just listen to the song and the guitar and the vocals and the lyrics it's pure genius songwriting !!!
you use the term underrated wrong, too lightly: it should be "they were not so famous/popular as other bands", because every rock connoiseur that hears Vandenberg instantly recognizes their quality and soul.
PESSOAL fala sério se nos das antigas fomos felizes ?! que maravilha lembrar nossos Rock in Roll e perfeito p um carnaval...solta o som quem estiver ouvindo comigo e seja feliz.😆
I saw Vandenderg in 1983 at the red coat inn. He is in my top #10 guitarist of all time. He's so good and the singer is fantastic when rock music was worth it and the music ment something. I hope to see him again. I just saw Y&T,MSG, I wanted to see ( XYZ,Warrior,Sacred Rite,Seventh Key,Stone Machine,&Tyketto ). Once before I pass away!!
I keep coming back here because I'm trying to learn this on guitar, especially the solo. All props to Adrian and Bert Heerink, the singer but that drummer, Jos Zoomer is INTENSE! What a great live band! Wish I had seen them!
NO ONE will ever top the music in the 80s,they should give up & just listen to it.....this is so awsome.i remember watching mtv,& this song came on,and ive loved it every since.long live the hairbands....
this song,is one of the greatest videos ever played on mtv....i was a young teenager in early 80s.this song is stuck in my memory...this band was nothing less than awsome.if i could see 1 band, this would b the 1 i would pick....
Me too, I was around 12th grade In '88 or so, what a great era, Although, personally, I loved the 90s a tiny, tiny bit better, for many reasons , tho 🤷♂️
Amazing stuff! To realize this was in 1983!! It just shows that real quality is timeless! Adrian was in his very early twenties then and still kicks most contemporary guitarists ass with the combination of feeling, melody and technique...
Adrian es un excelente guitarrista, posee pasión, técnica, composiciones magistrales. En mi opinión es el mejor guitarrista que pasó en Whitesnake, sus bandas lideradas por él son asombrosas.
I saw Vandenberg last month in San Antonio. You better go see all these old school rocker before they retire or no longer can play. An entire generation of music is leaving us ie Dickey Betts.
Oh yeah - you are so right! With the loss of these years my youth has gone and with it all my joy and all my hope. These times will never come back and all what's remaining is my yearning...
Amazing song. Amazing performance. Amazing singer, Amazing guitars, Amazing bass. Amazing Vandenberg. One of my favorite album of all times. What a super guitarist!!!! Such beautiful playing. Goes perfectly with the fantastic vocals. This, to me, is a feel good song. I can get lost in the words. No therapy can relax a person like this beautiful song.

How did this band not become huge? The guitar is killer and the vocals are freaking amazing.
🎸🙋♀️Only we true 80s Metalheads appreciated Vandenberg then. Still on top of my list!
I can't believe this singer didn't go on to become a superstar frontman ?
The pipes on this guy are phenomenal !

🎸🙋♀️One of the most beautiful songs ever written!
This was always a beautiful song. A lot of talent on display in this video. Adrian Vandenberg is a beast!
One of the best power ballads ever. The chord progressions at the beginning all the way to the solo and the vocals are so good.
The vocals are as good if not better than the vocals on the studio record, that's insane for a live show
Their PA system here is Great. It's very powerful and everything is micked and EQ'd correctly.
