      @@WyldeWillow Seriously, I am really stunned by your work. I am also following the Mexican people that do 3D vinyl emblems on these type of hats, they do them by layering plotter cut vinyls, they get a three 3D effect, it is totally amazing what can be done (they are called hazlogeek, in case you want to know), and now I see your work and it blows my mind, it is spectacular.

    Next level!!! Thoroughly impressed! Very inspiring for someone who is trying to get into this. Though I have been experimenting with the leather, I'd be honest in saying I'm a little bit intimidated by the acrylic, although I can definitely see the benefits of it (and thanks for the tip on where to get samples in your other vid). I really liked how you combined the two materials and doubled up on some of the patches to create depth in some of those pieces. 🤯

      @AV1611radio 3 місяці тому

      @@WyldeWillow Ha! I have to admit that I haven't been doing that. But since I've seen some of your videos, I certainly will be.
      As for my laser engraver, I am using an Atomstack A70 Max. As you mentioned in your video, I chose this one because with it I can switch between a 35-watt and a 70-watt diode laser as the need arises.
      And you should be very proud of your designs. I mean this when I say that they are truly inspiring.
      I had an old gym partner tell me one time that if you have a goal you want to achieve, you gotta surround yourself with people that are better than you in that specific thing you wish to improve on. Been great advice indeed.
      Thanks again for the great vids, and I wish you all the best.

    Awesome video and thanks for sharing! I struggle with creating unique shapes for my patches, how/where do you go to create your unique patch outlines?

    • @WyldeWillow
      @WyldeWillow  3 місяці тому

      I make most my outlines. Sometimes I goggle hat patch shapes or outlines and get inspiration from them. I have got some free patch outlines from Facebook groups also. If you play around with shapes and welding them together and stretching them to the size you need you can make some cool outlines that way. You can also buy patch packs on etsy. If your using lightburn make an art library just for patch outlines. Makes it so much easier when it comes time to design a patch for someone when you can see all your options in one place.

    I have 2 questions. You talked a little about the Laser Tree 20/40/60w. I’m looking to upgrade and that one is on my list. I have not seen any honest reviews (pro & cons) and in action comparing work quality to a CO2. Have you done a review yet? 2nd question is, Have you used this diode laser to make any of your patches?
    Keep up the excellent work & videos!!! Thank you!

    Have you found any alternatives to Hydbond or LSA adhesive? It seems really expensive for only a thin layer of plastic.
    It would be awesome if you made a video showing tear tests for similar products like hotfix, heat-n-bond, fuse-n-seal, and some others. Im sure there is something out there that works just as good at a fraction of the price. Im in Canada, and i dont have access to a lot of these products for testing.

    • @WyldeWillow
      @WyldeWillow  2 місяці тому +1

      I had a custom in Canada, he had mentioned the same thing to me. I don’t have an alternative option at the moment. I have tried other ways but haven’t had the success that I have with hydbond or LSA. I always buy my adhesive in bulk to get the cost down.

      There are a ton of white and black acrylic options from Johnson Plastic Plus but they can be a little tricky at first compared to using leatherette.
