No, political correctness would hate this, claiming that using camp homosexual mannerisms as a pejorative is homophobic, that it causes the LGBT movement stigmatic harm by associating such mannerisms with Hitler, and that the presentation of Hitler in a jovial light would normalize the modern white supremacist movement.

History of the World Part 2?
+John Smith Actually, it's "Spaceballs III: The Search for Spaceballs II," at least from what I've heard.
I love his reaction during the final piece and theh begin to spin around the wooden characters Mel has played over the years.
19 people works for Hedley Lamar!
ArgaAnders Hedy Lamar?
Danendra Hartawan
Yeah that´s the one! I didn´t dare to write the dark lords name out loud!
+Danendra Hartawan it's Hedley!
+Danendra Hartawan lol
Hey........what are you worried about? This is 1874.......YOU CAN SUE HER!!!!
This was a fitting tribute to a comedic, cinematic genius! Happy 97th. Birthday, Mel Brooks! Thanks for sharing your gifts of humor and laughter with the entire world through your amazing work in films! 😎😁👍👏👏👏🎂🎉🎈🎁🎀🎉
Mel Brooks is an American classic...no one can hold a candle to his satirical
genius! :)
I love how pure Mel’s reactions are
when he tears up a bit at the end its great ! all his great work PURE GREAT JEWISH COMEDY :)
He spent half his life fighting Nazis and the other half humorously rubbing the Allied victory in their faces.
5:11 that woman sitting behind Mel Brooks looks utterly confused LOL
That's the daughter of Sid Caesar, a comedian. Early in his career, Mel wrote jokes for Sid. Sid was also in "History of the World Part I", so I think his daughter knows who Mel is, and is familiar with is work :)
thanks for the info
she still looks confused as anything tho lol.
Caligula Oh I enjoyed it imensely it was my favourite bit.
She looks near sighted
I thought she was Tracy Ullman.
" . . . there will never ever be another one like him!" Very, very true. Mel Brooks certainly is one of a kind!
The lady @6:43 bet she is thr life of the party lol
FYI: Before Matthew Morrison was on GLEE, he was a Broadway actor/hoofer!!!!
This is so sweet! Mel Brook’s face when Brodrick sings Till him 😭😭
I’ll always love Mel for both pushing boundaries and adhering to them. He knew always that satire and comedy punched up, never down.
He’s had his missteps, as we all do, but he held firm that those suffering weren’t where you get laughs.
That was so beautiful! I did not expect to cry but like oh my gosh
This only bad thing is that he wasn’t able to share this moment with is wife, Anne Bancroft
What a touching tribute and watching Mel brooks reaction was so moving
There is only ONE Mel Brooks , thats it , a real genious after Charlie Chaplin, period.

Edward norton: haven't seen it it but damn I'm curious
maybe its me but i was disappointed it was Matthew Morrison and not John Barrowman
I'm always disappointed when it's not John Barrowman. And I even like Matthew Morrison.
John Barrowman was otherwise occupied. When this award was given, Barrowman was starring at the Playhouse Theater in London. He was playing Albin/Zaza in La Cage aux Folles
Go back and watch the movie - Barrowman didn't do any of the dancing.
Simply the greatest, the one, the only Mel Brooks. A brilliant tribute to a brilliant talent.
Great to see a real president and first lady without any scandal happening.
Mr. Brooks has filled my life with hours and hours of laughter. Thank you Mel! You are amazing.
I love that I'm smiling ear-to-ear throughout this entire tribute. Love it! :-)
The girl behind Mel Brooks when the Hitler song comes is questioning everything😂
Never has political incorrectness been SO FUNNY!!
He almost makes it, if not correct, then somewhat de rigueur.
uh pretty sure this is literally political correctness. Making fun of Nazis and all...
Lol. Anyone can have a laugh at good old Nazi-bashing! It’s a tried and true American tradition.
They would also criticize the non-diverse cast, complaining that all the neo-Nazis were white, that all the military personnel were male and that the women were there solely as decorations, that they were being sexually objectified and degraded by being forced to wear food on their heads.
Not a big fan of much of Matthew Morrison's work but I respect how hard he committed to the bit.
could not compare to barrowman but he did what he could and can be proud. Voice was not as powerfull but then again i've seen stuff from morrison that i don't think barrowman can do.
I missed Nathan Lane
7:28 is when you see Matthew Broderick's cane sneaking into position - the far right of the picture.
Mel got teary-eyed during the "Like Him" number. Very sweet.
I always laugh at 5:15
when that girl behind Mel brooks makes that really confused when the guy in the nazi uniform came out.
Mel is such a special man... I love him dearly.
What a thrill that must have been for Mel to have his work celebrated like that, too bad Anne couldn't be there to share it with him. He looked very happy. Michelle Obama has so much class, I wish she was still your First Lady. Great video, Mel is one of my heroes even though I'm 71, we share the same kind of sense of humour. Saviour it Mel because you earned it!!!
91 years old today! "~THERE WILL NEVER EVER EVER BE ANOTHER ONE LIKE HIMMMMM~"
And he is now 95 and his work is still great
Just want to point this out @1:32 you see both Hawkeye Pierce's in the same shot: Donald Sutherland and Alan Alda, kinda cool
Rob Diniro cracking up at 7:07 I”d love to know what and Mel Brooks were saying right there
What most comedians don't realize is it's much funnier when doing your best unlike singers deliberately singing badly
You could feel the love everyone had for him, brings a tear to your eye. An absolutely brilliant man that the world is a much, much better place for having.
From the Kennedy Center Honors and you know, the current #45 NEVER ATTENDED. He can't stand it when he is not the center of attention.
Their will never ever be another one like him. We love you Mel Brooks.
Keep an eye on the woman behind Brooks. Sometimes she's really into it, and then sometimes there's a real "Oh my god, they're not actually going to... Oh god, they are!" look.
its sad that Mel sits there...holding back the tears, knowing this is a great tribute while he is alive...He is magnificent. I got to work with him once and he caught me starring at him..............he smiled
5:09 the lady behind Mel is what people who haven’t seen his work are thinking when they see a singing n a z i. You don’t know if you should like it but you’ll dance.
A beautiful tribute to a genuine genius. Mr Mel Brooks. Bravo.
Happy Anniversary to the man who filled our empty lives for their will never ever be another one like you Mel Brooks.
8:55.......the whole cast gathers, and salutes Mel together............THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER ONE LIKE HIM!!!
I come back to this every once in a while because its an amazing tribute and I love seeing his reaction to it all.
@9:10, You moved the man to tears. It's both beautiful and tragic to watch.
