A lot of the comments that derm's react to are from people who feel like there is only one right way of doing something, but if there's anything I've learned from this series it's that skincare is very personal and what works for one person could not work for another. I'm sure a dermatologist recommends tons of different skincare routines to their patients in just a day.
A dermatologist that I follow on UA-cam states that over the counter (OTC) retinols in the form of retinyl esters or retinyl aldehyde are not as effective in preventing wrinkles and do not have anti-aging effects as strong as retinoic acid (tretinoin). Other beauty bloggers/skincare experts say that it takes longer for OTC retinols to be effective, but it works. Should I spend money to buy OTC retinol or ask a dermatologist for a prescription of Tretinoin?
Unless your skin has already gone through retinization (the early period of retinoid use when your skin tends to get red, flaky, dry), tret can be very difficult to start (depending on concentration and your speed with it). Compliance is an issue. But that’s probably true of most retinoids including retinols. And tret is the most scientifically backed anti-aging topical. Sooooo ask your doctor! Do you know if your headaches are related to tension? If you have tension around the eyes or forehead for example, that causes headaches, then botox can help since it relaxes the muscles.
Talk to your doctor. Depending on if it's tension headaches or migraine, depending on if they are refractory to medication or not, etc. I have refractory chronic migraine and my neurologist suggested I try it.
Doesn’t repeated use of Botox actually weaken the muscle underneath overtime? I heard if you’ve had Botox for years & stop getting it, your muscle will atrophy & your skin will get prematurely thinner. Kind of like if you didn’t move your leg for 10 years & one day decided to move it, your leg muscle would have atrophied & not hold up like it used to.
Sure they may atrophy, but they won’t just disappear. There are different types of muscle. What would be the reason you wish to all of a sudden move muscles that were causing intense wrinkling after a decade or two of non use? Is the skin thinner due to the natural aging process instead of what you’d assume is total atrophy of the muscles in your face? As we age we lose fat, collagen, and a lot more from our skin. The production slows greatly. How do you separate natural aging process from what Botox has done? We need our leg muscles to walk and move. What do you need the tiny muscles that move your one eyebrow for?
I wish more people cared about their skin and watched 'a derm reacts to..' :D I've seen some stuff 😬 You had one dermatologist mention that retinols aren't great and cause adverse reactions and a couple of others who support their use. I've personally never used them but it's an interesting debate. Are they good or are they bad?
She looks older than me (same age) and yes I have grown lines & not got the glow I had at 22 (who does) but whatever she did Botox etc aged her. My opinion.
@@jamespham6166 I tried for year all they have me use were topical cream and ointments. I was on methotrexate too. Nothing worked. I'm alot worst. I'm just interested in hearing your opinion.
A Cemento depends on grade of your psoriasis. Methotrexate works well but there are other pills that can be used if you didn’t like it (eg ciclosporin, apremilast, accitretin etc) but you’d need to talk about your doctor but they can’t be used for everybody ... and depending on where you are, if you can access biologics those can work super well with fewer side effects, but can be v expensive :/. Phototherapy can also work really well for psoriasis, either UVB or PUVA, depending on how thick your plaques are. This isn’t medical advice, but just an overview of things that might help, and that you could broach with your doctor ...
About veganism problem: there is a difference between a product that has been tested for safety years or a decades ago, and ongoing testing. With a lot of substances, they testet them on animals a long long time ago and now they don't test every batch yhey make. They just check for purity, to make sure, they are actually making the substance they want to make in a pure form. But not on animals.

How do I know if I a a candidate for botox for headaches? I'm used to having those constantly and pop a 500mg paracetamol to be able to sleep...
Do you know if your headaches are related to tension? If you have tension around the eyes or forehead for example, that causes headaches, then botox can help since it relaxes the muscles.
Bring it up with your dr, they will tell you if you are a good candidate
Omg she's so stunning and she's the sun.
Thanks doctor! 👌👌👌😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thanks doc!
Omg... I heard calcium hydroxyapatite filler and realized it's the bone matrix. Like putting that in skin, sounds scary to me...
Good info! Thanks!
His about not injecting toxins into people’s faces.
How about dat.
How about not seeing aging as ugly?
her voice is so nice
terrific metaphors
She also came in dr. Oz's show😄😃
She looks older than me (same age) and yes I have grown lines & not got the glow I had at 22 (who does) but whatever she did Botox etc aged her. My opinion.
Hi can you tell me how you treat Psoriasis please.
A Cemento need to see your own doctor.
I suffered from psoriasis for over 20yrs, nothing worked. But since I did heavy metal detox, it disappeared and never came back.
@@karolyn63 how to do that detox?

About veganism problem: there is a difference between a product that has been tested for safety years or a decades ago, and ongoing testing. With a lot of substances, they testet them on animals a long long time ago and now they don't test every batch yhey make. They just check for purity, to make sure, they are actually making the substance they want to make in a pure form. But not on animals.

I really enjoyed this video. Great information! I'd love to hear more about at home treatments that can substitute medical treatments.
