I don't think aging is going to change for this generation, as one commenter in the video suggested it might. Retinol has been around for quite a while now, especially among the rich and famous, and it hasn't caused them to age any less quickly. Fillers and Botox make people look different, but not younger. I think aging will continue as it always has because it's an internal process you can't change with external measures. Also, this derm is so smart yet friendly at the same time. I love her. Your skin is not her skin, so be careful! Do what your skin can handle. Once per day is plenty, and generally using retinol in the morning before you go outside and expose yourself to the sun is not recommended.
I’m always careful. Have been using tretinoin for a long time. I think introducing a weaker retinol some mornings with plenty of sunscreen on top will be fine. If it’s not, I will stop 😊
@@littlemisschatterbox4595 Nice! I only recently started using a pretty gentle an over the counter retinol. I hope to work my way up to tretinoin one day. Take care and keep slathering on the sunscreen! 😎
I think that you are totally ok to use it twice a day as long as it's tretinoin! I have heard that retinols deactivate with sun exposure, but tretinoin does not since it is in its purest form and doesn't have to undergo the chemical reaction that retinol does to convert itself to tretinoin. Most people assume that it makes you sensitive to sun in the morning, but it just makes you sensitive overall, which is why you need sunscreen whenever you use acids or retinol, whether morning or night! :)
awww she's so nice!! i wouldn't mind going to a derm like her. i feel like a lot of the time, derms don't really go in-depth with their patients and it's a very quick process. i'd mucch prefer someone who helps me understand my complicated skin and takes the time to explain stuff to me so that i can then put my knowledge to use.
I think my biggest skincare concern is hyperpigmentation. I've used a vitamin C and while I enjoyed it, it did very little for the darkness on the bottom half of my face. For skin with more melanin, what is the most effective treatment for hyperpigmentation?
Wow i never knew about sandwich method! Very interesting and i want to try it because i feel like my skin is a lil bit hard to adapt with retinol product
Would *love* to see some common -- you pick -- products many people use in the morning or at night and how they are applying them "wrong" (I *love* being subjective) and how to make them more effective. For example, retinols/rentoids near my eye socket; lash boosts on my lash line [and the negative]; moisturisers on my feet [or do they help]; getting moisture on my back [as so few of us apply it there]; ensuring my scalp isn't dry (e.g. I've always had dry scalp regardless of the shampoo/conditioner/oil I've used).

Diana Rusnov thank you, I will look into this more! 😊
These videos with dermatologists are my FAVE!!
i love this queen so much. never heard of the "sandwich method" but i'm so excited to try it.
This was so helpful!!! Have her on again!!!
awww she's so nice!! i wouldn't mind going to a derm like her. i feel like a lot of the time, derms don't really go in-depth with their patients and it's a very quick process. i'd mucch prefer someone who helps me understand my complicated skin and takes the time to explain stuff to me so that i can then put my knowledge to use.
Her skin is literally flawless
She has such a beautiful, warm aura omg
I think my biggest skincare concern is hyperpigmentation. I've used a vitamin C and while I enjoyed it, it did very little for the darkness on the bottom half of my face. For skin with more melanin, what is the most effective treatment for hyperpigmentation?
You should try niacinamide :)
Derms say that the darkness around the mouth is hormonal. So maybe look into that.
This is a YES!! PLEASE BRING HER BACK 😍
We don’t need them to answer these questions, just make them show us their skincare routine! They all look like baby unicorns! 🦄
This was so informative!! loved how well she explained everything. So simple. Please upload more types of videos like this. :)
This doctor is fabulous! Super helpful... thank you!
I learn so much from this series and I love it! Please make moree
Wow i never knew about sandwich method! Very interesting and i want to try it because i feel like my skin is a lil bit hard to adapt with retinol product
I just want to know what is the retinol she uses? That twice a day retinol?
Her skin is so ❤️❤️❤️!!!
All these dermatologists have the most glowy skin like damn.
Dr. Michelles skin is just incredible
I need the good doctor's makeup AND skincare routine.
I'm loving this series! Learning so much.
Absolutely love her good knowledge about skincare with beautiful skin and voice
Love the way she breaks everything down and omg very beautiful skin!
I wish I lived in her area so I could go to her!! She is better than any dermatologist in my area!
