Please feature more dermatologists. We really don’t need these sponsored influencers with their hundred-steps skincare routine that they swear by to mislead the audience and waste everyone’s money. Every dermatologist I ever visited all said the trending products/routines nowadays are pretty laughable.
You guys should look into Dr. Dray here on UA-cam, she does tons of reviews on the “trendy” skincare products like Tatcha and Drunk elephant and explains on how you can get the same/ even better results from drugstore stuff. The reason for delays is most often because patients before you showed up late, or are having an emergency or require more attention due to their current state etc. I've seen appointments where doctors spend more time with crying patients, patients in the middle of a story, etc. You can't just rush people out the door when the clock strikes a certain time- sometimes its poor care to do so. Have some empathy for the docs trying to do right by their patients.
The pursuit in becoming an MD is incredibly rigorous and brutal: 8 years of insane studying followed by 4 years of residency. This specialty, Dermatology, is among the top 2 most competitive above all other specialties. You have to be an all-round superstar in medical school since Dermatology is a ridiculously challenging and competitive field to achieve! I didn't know the craziness of pursuing Dermatology until my own childhood friend went though the entire painful experience only to be denied a residency position on the well known " Match Day!" I tip my hat off to you, Doctor. And, of course all other Doctors.
KB If you think dermatology is crazy, that's nothing compared to general surgery, obgyn or nephrology. Dermatology is actually "easier" compared to all the others. Dermatology is competitive in a sense because a lot of doctors go into that specialty. Very few ones go into oncology, nephrology or neurology. I asked my bestfriend who is an obgyn what specialty was the hardest and she said oncology and nephrology just because the rate of serious and terminal cases are high for those specialties.
@@13lues They already practice medicine as medical interns but during residency, its where they get to go into their specialties i.e. obgyn, dermatology. When they graduate medical school and pass they're general practitioners. Residency is where doctors specialize in a specific field.
You can look up dr dray. She does alot if kirean abd Japanese skincare reviews. She uses sheet masks occasionally but believes that they don't substitute skincare routine as sheet masks are temporary
This is probably bad, but I usually open the package of the sheet mask and use just the the serum over time 😅 I don’t like wasting all the product leftover
There are a lot of doctors who will not give people "unnatural" results (aka duck lips or whichever) because they want to do what is best for their patients. Like she said many people will go in and ask for botox like it is a kleenex, and they do not "need" the things they are asking for. More often than not, when people want to achieve a certain look, they are asking for the wrong things. A doctor who is being ethical and truly cares about their patients and understands what is being asked will suggest procedures which will produce the best results for the patient- those typically being the more natural looking ones. Like you always want to be a little bit "this is me but better" not " WHO IS SHE?" - like I think the new slang is funny and cute and all but also so relevant to cosmetics and cosmetic procedures. (sorry for the rant)
Luna Luna not sure if you're aware, but spf powder is not proven to actually provide adequate sun protection. I'm obsessed with sunscreen and that's what I've read recently.

"it will get better over time, but be ready to invest the time to make it better" everyone needs to hear this!!! people who are new to skincare usually get overwhelmed and think they need to jump straight into a bajillion different steps and products, but really for most people, if you just start out with a basic routine but stick with it EVERY single day, you'll probably see an improvement in your skin just with that!
I loved this tutorial so much, returning to it like a year+ later. It would be so amazing to see her updated routine especially with her having to wear a mask all day. Hope she's doing well too, she seems like such a sweetheart!
I love that she is transparent about using some dermatological treatments. The OTC products she advocates shows you can get by with gentle, low cost items. This lady is literally the epitomy of healthy skin and healthy facial standards. You can tell she takes care of herself, it shows in the lighted video and her phone camera
@@bakedtiffany3152 I know for a fact Botox is used as a treatment for certain illnesses - and while that proves dosis facit venenum and whatnot, it is in and of itself a neurotoxin and its long term effects in purely cosmetic treatments have not been studied well since it's only been around a few decades. Your mileage may vary, but an invasive treatment that damages cells to only superficially decrease signs of aging isn't really off to a great start in the healthy department, especially if consequences could include muscle loss, thinner skin and discoloration. DaughterDust 😂
And, of course all other Doctors.
what is your friend doing now? :(
What’s “residency”?
Encly don't quote me on this but residency is a part of medical education where they practice medicine in a hospital/med place under a supervisor :p

Okay... she has the most natural looking look.... given she has injections and many procedures done
Impressed
Right! I'm thinking THIS is how botox should look!!
(sorry for the rant)
if only you knew how many ppl around you have had stuff done, you'd be shocked. Places that do injections & other stuff are PACKED All. The. Time.
