    Your voice and technique in training is commendable. And u put me at ease without even talking to me because you are aware of the insecurity one may have. And bravo on the technique with the ruler for those of us from the poor community that use boxing as a getaway. One word BROVO. THANK U AND KNOW U HAVE DONE GOOD

    Thank you for that slow mo, that makes a huge difference of when to hit the bag and build that rhythm. Like you said, I always assumed that boxers hit the bag before it swings towards them, now I can try it as you suggested.

    Some of the worst equipment I have ever used in my entire life for any sport is everlast. Much better gear out there for you and your precious kids. Everlast = Neverlast.

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  2 роки тому

      The thing with Everlast is they have two different tiers of products. Some are very cheap and made to be an introduction to the sport. Yet on their website they do have some higher in products. I use their 18 ounce genuine leather sparring gloves and their headgear. So far they were pretty good. I thank you so much for taking the time to comment 😎😎😎😎

      @@fightyourwayfit Thank you for clearing it up. I t is clear they do because the low end stuff is what people mostly know and I cannot believe the stuff I have encountered, every ever last piece broke, though it was what helped me make the channel it broke and I feel bad for all the people that bought up the stand up bag because of my videos. I modified it and people did not realize it and I would get comments everyday saying theirs broke on the first powershots.

    Hey man, thank you very much for this content. I needed this kind of explanation to start training at my gym here. Nobody there uses it, so I’ll start doing it, and with your video I know exactly how to start. I have one question, the red things over your hands, are those some sort of gloves or only stripes? Do I need to do it using that? Any tips on where to buy it? Keep up the good work man, way to go, congratulations on your videos. 👊

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  2 роки тому +1

      The red things on my hands are hand wraps. They are not absolutely necessary but they will protect your hands from the friction of hitting the bag. You should be able to pick some up for under 10 bucks. I’m glad that the was able to help. Thanks for watching and happy new year😎😎😎😎

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting. You usually should not have to hit it very hard. A few things could slow it down such as.... the bag needs a little more air... the platform that it bounces off is not perfectly solid... or the swivel is slowing it down. Perhaps try a quick shot of wd40 on the swivel.

    Should I be in my boxing stance when hitting the speed bag?

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  6 років тому +1

      Thank you for commenting;
      I find it easier to be in a "somewhat" boxing stance with my power leg and hand to the rear yet it is not absolutely necessary.

  • @swiss6253

    Just doesn't feel balanced :(

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  Рік тому +1

      It takes a bit of getting used to but try and hit with the flatter surface of the heel of your had against the widest part of the bag :)

    • @swiss6253
      @swiss6253 Рік тому

      @@fightyourwayfit Yea but the bounce back was being wonky and unpredictable. My bag is a bit lopsided, there's a lot of slack in my loop and the everlast U swivel was really sloppy. I added some plastic washers to tighten up the U ring and just now put on some permatex anti seize and I can walk around in circles doing the bag now.
      Probably too much clearance between the swivel and bag and this helped narrow the gaps a bit. Helps that the noise is completely gone now too.

    The ruler part actually did make me laugh but that’s because I recently lost 90lbs during corona by learning how to box. (Well I try anyways haha)
    But since I wasn’t able to leave my house for a while I had to improvise and for a slip ball or pendulum ball, I took the dogs tennis ball and poked a hole through it and ran some hemp rope through the center of that hole. A big knot at the bottom and then I cut a slice into the top side area so I can add pennies or anything weighted that way it will swing faster and I can remove them so it swings slower. The rope I can adjust height so i don’t get used to the same speed and height. Aka so I’m fighting a diff opponent every time :)
    It also doubles as a slip rope and if I was smarter in the beginning it coulda also have made a good jump rope lol.
    It also is very portable and can go anywhere.
    I also rigged a few thick and super heavy dense pillows to the door and that was my punching bag for a few weeks til I got one.
    Here’s a video of my home made slip ball that started it all haha
    Ppl can laugh but sometimes homemade works and leads you into other things
