Imagine what this guy could do with a lift and some room to move around . Huge salute and respect . Love your content . Your ocd makes my ocd feel inadequate 😂
80`S DIGITAL MUSIC ... MATT🎼🎵🎶
Hells yeah brother! Love it!
You make everything look almost like it's factory. Can't wait to see this thing going down the road. Also congrats on 100K subs!
I love the music that plays during the videos, it’s so 80’s
I love love love how factory you made this project look. I remember when you cleaned up this engine I knew it was going to be a beautiful engine bay.
It's alive!!!!!!😇🦅
You still got the best montage music 😂
Love that open header sound. Crank it up!!!
Glad to see this project back!!!!!!!
You have the dopest videos my man. You stuck with the 80s theme the whole way through. Love it. Can't wait to see her finished.
15:11 Badass!
She is looking awesome! You are on the next level with video editing and engine swaps!
What a huge milestone! Congrats! Looking forward to the rest of the journey!
Looks good Matt. I think you may have your gas flow too high on the tig. Your torch is a flame thrower! A larger cup will help too, like a 12
The knowledge and skill you have is insane! Respect to you sir! I wish I had the knowledge
It’s alive, IT’S ALIVE!!!
Congratulations! Looks very oem in the engine bay. Can’t wait to see it driving
Can't wait to see it driving
Awesome build!!! I would suggest putting a secondary screen in the catch can. Had one like it before and didn't separate much oil under boost pressure.
That’s awesome Matt! Congrats… all that effort paying off and it’s very inspiring.
It's ALIVE.. 🤗 thanx for the update. When you get that "T.A." dialed in💻, you'll be straight then. Until then... keep fine tuning. I want to hear that monster roar. ✊🏻
I see that Godox SL-60!! :) So sweet you got it running man!!!
Fuggin mint my guy. It’s looking so clean. I’m excited to see more progress.
Fantastic video and build, Matt! Thank you for producing the best automotive content on UA-cam!! Cant wait for the next video!!
Tap the radiator where that plug is for the 5/8 coolant hose and put a barb fitting in for the steam line.
Steam vent usually goes to the radiator at the top hole under or above the top trans hole.. overflow hose still goes to the end under radiator cap
Nice work!!
Bro I’m like half way through the video. You are just throwing life goals at me and my 92 bird. What a beautiful build. This video felt very serious, and I have to image it felt damn good to make.
It’s alive!!
Looks great! What an incredible amount of work and attention to detail.
Also Lokar makes a dip stick for the trans. Also a shifter.. there a way to wire it up for sport mode using resistance…
It breathes!
For the steam hose... You could look into 4th Gen f body radiators end cap as they have the port for the steam fed to them at the top of the tank. Not sure about fitment on a 3rd Gen radiator core. Or probably get a aftermarket radiator with the needed Ports?
Awesome work!
My favorite car that you swapped
WOOOOOOO!!!! Sounds awesome!! Nice work Matt!! 🐺😁
It’s going to be awesome to see it on the road!
Heck yeah! 80’s themed music, 3rd Gen, and great skills. What’s not to love?
Just awesome content. Keep it coming!
Congratulations on 100K! Sweet project so far! Eagerly awaiting the next episode. ;)
Looking fabulous 👍👍👍
Awesome!
Outstanding work!!! Good way to end my Monday to hear that bad boy fire up.
Block that coolant port off completely. You don’t want to run it to your overflow because it’s under pressure and has a good flow of coolant… I just CA glued mine shut after a plug came off and sprayed coolant everywhere. My car runs about 180 all the time no matter what. I’ve hot lapped at the track and it still never goes up… got any other questions just hit me up. After driving my car every weekend for a little over a year now I have had zero problems from the swap it self I will say make sure the transmission has plenty of fluid and checked properly. The 6L80 is sensitive 😂 I run mine a quart over and it’s happy sure wasn’t before
Awesome video!
Love the gen 5 stuff
Wow congrats man. Im so excited for this vid. I’ll probably lose my mind when you test drive it. Finally!!!! Im definitely going to check out your store.
Congrats on 100K
Thanks!
Awesome cars and builds!
Matt you make it look way too easy! Nice work buddy.
looking good Matt! love your builds/video!
i would love to see your very first video dropped on this channel
My 86 TA weeps of jealousy. Great build so far man.
Energy suspension are the only bushings I use. They are great for jeeps. I wish I had found them when I had a 82 trans am.
I've been hitting yards trying to find me a pump. No luck yet. I'm going to head to the yard in Wilmington my next day off. It's like just shy of 2 hours away. ROAD TRIP!!!! LOL.
She runs mate, congratulations darlin. You done good.
She's gorgeous brother. Great job!!!!
Ooh that's loud. Good Job...
My Ls3 block will be done next week. YAYA!!!
Love it!
Hey buddy, that steam line. Pretty sure on the 4th gen/lt1 radiators there's a fitting on the radiator for that to attach to maybe you could swap one in
Been waiting for this video for 2 years lol I have an 86 we met at the Mobile on Arthur kill you said you noticed my car in driveway on figurea glad to see the progress brother can't wait for drive video
Man I been waiting for this for so long sweet ✊🏽💪🏾
Hey man nice work but just an FYI, you never want to have an o2 sensor below centerline on three pipe. It allows water to collect in it and will ruin it
HIT IT!!!!!!!
I’m just starting out tig welding myself but when the weld is grey like that it means you’re over cooking it. Probably just moving too slow I have a hard time myself with this but practice makes perfect.
I’m having a hard time getting the puddle to move, I definitely cooked it trying to weld that header.
my suggestion is learn from the best on youtube there is a plethora of amazing info out there, it takes time and practice but I was able to learn TIG just by watching some of the channels - Weldingtipsandtricks, thefabricationseries are two of the ones that helped me the most. I am finally able to get nice shiny stainless exhaust welds and its a good feeling. You need to make sure to keep the heat input as low as possible (torch height and angle is a big one here) , backpurge the pipes, and make sure you have adequate gas coverage on top, stainless likes bigger lenses with high flow. All that being said so cool to see the TA start up for the first time, amazing progress!!
I tried to install electric power steering on my camaro and it didn’t work out 😂 well it did but I didn’t feel safe about it… I was using the Toyota motor though…. I never thought about placing the Volvo set up right there🤔 I’ll try that one soon thanks again Matt 👍🏾👍🏾
Awesome 👍👍👍
i really like the thumbnail lol
AutoZone sales radiator hose splices to make swaps easier
Love the T shirt, RIP Eddie
I can't believe you are reinstalling the stamped steel torque arm. You've upgraded everything else.
I have a tubular one in the Camaro and all you hear is gear noise echoing through the torque arm. This is gonna be a daily so I really dont need one.
Thats pretty damn cool boss
I think that vent line is supposed to go to an expansion tank. You could probably plug it, leave it as is, or add an expansion tank to the system. Id recommend leaving it, because I dont think you have much room for a tank. I mounted mine to the firewall where the AC stuff would go
You didn't wake the neighbours you woke the dead with that 🤣💪
Awesome
Hell yeah 🙌🏾
I think you had to short of a exhust past the o2 sensor that made it diffcult to idle 🤔
Nice
All you needed was a nerdy friend and possibly a robot of some kind in that montage with that music and you would be ready to take on the local gang leader in a winner takes all race
Well done! Great job making everything functional and look nice!
A fourth gen upper hose will fit.
I cant wait for my newest build a 24x conversion with a holly terminator a t56 and super ram 305
Have been watching you for a while remember when you added the charge to the Camaro love it both cars an tahiti came along way I'm still stuck between if I wanna leave my 92 rs all original or if I want the ls7 in it
Also wanted to know how much did you pay for the engine
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!! That TransAM wants to LIVE!!!! What a great accomplishment, Matt. Congrats!
8:25 Which song is it? Sounds very much badass.
Honestly I don’t know! I get everything from epidemic sound
@@lsXmatt Thanks Matt, I'll check it out and see if I can find it. If I'm able to find it, I'll post it here, gotta keep rock alive!
yea all i heard is “shes going around town topless” who dont love that ?
where can I get info for the volvo power steering wiring? that's a game changer for accessory brackets on a regular LS swap
There’s some info on google but the wiring is really simple. The relay is built in so all you need to do is give the red wire battery + and the black wire ground. On the 3 wire connector the gray wire with the blue stripe gets key on power and thats what turns the pump on. The other two wires aren’t used.
Are you putting on a new aftermarket passenger side fender or do you plan on metal working the OG fender?
Probably just throwing the old one back on until I can find a used replacement.
You do the cleanest builds I like it!! I have a 3rd gen LS swapped Camaro. I couldn’t tell where exactly you ran the first line to the catch can?? Was it the passenger side valve cover??
Thank you for the video
I run it inline with the vacuum line that goes from the pcv valve to the intake. So on an ls run the hose from valve cover to the IN on the can then a hose from the can on the OUT port to the intake manifold.
@@lsXmatt so on the dirty side being drivers side valve over to in on catch can
🤤 man i.miss my third gen 😢😢
For welding tutorials, check out Pacific Arc Welding videos.
Looks like a factory install. What kind of coolant are you running, dexcool is a orange color.
Universal coolant. Whenever I put dexcool in my swaps it always turns brown.
Don't run it with the o2 that close to free air, the computer won't read it right, it'll see a lot more o2 and think it's lean.
You look like Fran from race proven Motorsports
🙌🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
What drive shaft did you use?
Had it built by Mr. Driveshaft over in Jersey.
Matt or anyone, I’m going to install c5 z06 rims on my 85 Camaro. Does anyone know what my wheel spacers should be torqued too?
I torque mine to the factory wheel spec, I think its 100ft lbs but I’m not sure.
gonna have to change your name to Lxxmatt lmao
Why green coolant? just curious.
I tried to use Dexcool in the past but it always turns murky brown for some reason.
Where did you get your driveshaft from?
Mr. Driveshaft over in Monmouth NJ. He made a new shaft for 400 and had it ready the next day. Highly recommended, he shortened the Chromoly shaft for my Camaro too and that car launches hard.
Thank you very much.
Sorry brother. I guess I would have had my answer if I would wait till the end lol.
There was never a gen 2 ltx or a gen 5 ltx
Are you gonna change your name to LTXmatt?
Lmao
Meanwhile here in the twenties
