23 minutes later, and finally, I know why my plant has those irregular patterns on some leafs 🍃 😄.. But thank you so much. I've watched other videos and yet no real answer as you did. I'm literally watching your videos now.. thanx 🌱
This is a great, full of information and a helpful video, perhaps it would be more useful if whenever you’re talking about a specific problem you attach some pictures pointing to that specified point you’re explaining , this would help A LOT especially for beginners (like myself), it would really help us to know the type of problem our plants have. Thank you so much for this wonderful channel.
Thank you so much! My husband brought home one from the store that had mites. He didn’t realize the browning leaves that looked like new growth in the crown! I’ve been racking my brain to what the issue was this whole time. Nowhere could I find anything on this. Just over or under watering or chlorinated or fluoride waters. This helps me so much. I was hoping been oil solution wiping down my plants would get rid of these guys. The same thing tends to happening with my monstera deliciousa black leaf tips.
I bought a beautiful Draceana Lemon Surprise from Costco. A couple of the bottom leaves had been sniped, it had been watered (probably not with our hard water) thoroughly. I'm in Canada. It's cold, I wrapped it up in cloth shopping bag to keep it warm while going outside. The next morning it had blackening leaves. I took it out of the outer bowl to let it dry better, trimmed some of the dead areas and have put it in a diffused light area of my home.
I hv just started keeping house plants and your channel is the best source for learning. Absolutely love the way you explain with all details. Thank u so much.
it would be great if you could show in detail some of the spot types. i can supply you at least with two types - the tips and something i have no idea what it is, but i would like to solve it.
Thank you for the informations! What should I do if the plant was burned from exposure to too much hot sun? You touch this point by the end but no suggestions i think. Thank you!
Thank you so much for really going into great detail with the problems and solutions segment. I got a lot of good tips that I am excited to apply into caring for my plant.
Thank you so much for sharing this It shows how much you care for plants! My dracaena has been suffering . I’ve learned so much from this video and I will help my plant recover the best I can 😭🤍
Very helpful to know about the brown spots on the leaf edges. I did other research and was worried it was getting too much light. I will check for the root issue from too much or the issue of too much fertilizer. Thank you SO MUCH!
Thanks, very informative. I see now I will have to get aggressive with mine. Repot, let up on fertilizer and only bottle water only. Thanks. If I does better, I will let u know
Thanks. I learned that my dracaena definitely has the fungus problem. It's so dry here, especially with the wood stove going in the winter, that I shouldn't have gotten this problem, so I think it's probably the one-of-a-kind pot that I had it in. Thank you.
Your advice is by far the best I have found! And I am someone who does extensive research. There aren't many who give RELEVANT information in the entire video, as you do! All the best!
Hi. Is it possible to save a rotting top. I cut the plant above the rot?? And how would i treat it. I think mine is a combo of tap water and a cold draft. Please help. I was watching this as i was unpottingnand inspecting the plant. Ty. Love your videos
I loved the way of your explanation, the treatment for root rot simply by watering the plant once a week, or are there other solutions? Because the leaves have begun to fall.will adding a table spoon of vinegar to one liter of water help?
I am enjoying your videos very much. I was wondering if you can do such an informative video on aglaonemas, dieffenbachias, and syngonium? Thank you for such wonderful information.
Thanks for the Video - I have a stump which is turning black. Unfortunately you didn't explain anything about CUTTING the stump. If I cut away the black part, there will be half of my plant left. Can't I just put it into water and wait for new roots before repotting it again? Really looking forward to your answer!!! Thank you 🤞
That's what mine is doing. I'm trying to save it as I had gotten it from my mom's funeral service. Half the leaves are brown black and the stem. It's just flopping over. It's sick w something. I feel I need to just cut off the top part as it still looks green and has green leaves on the very top.. what to do what to do
You are fantastic. Could you pls tell me what could be the cause of young dracena leaves having brown tips? I have a corn plant, and I can see that new leaves coming from the center have browned tips. There are 3/4 new leaves coming and two have partial brown tips. Am I underwatering? Some of the older leaves also have browned tips. Thanks!
My dracaena has started to have withered leaves. It’s definitely not the root rot, but very likely broken off roots. I might have damaged it with excessive moving of the plant while re-potting and then moving around for best spot. The plant was not very stable in the new soil. If the damage to the roots is bigger then slight - what are the chances that the plant will recover to better condition and ability to absorb water properly? Is the root system of a dracaena rebuilding itself after breaking of? Thank you
Great teacher. Thank you. My first plant. I have some yellow leaves but it looks beautiful outside of that. Does it have to be near sunlight.I’m in an apartment.
One thing I've learned living in the USA is using a couple of drops of condition in the water like we use in fish tank water will solve the problem of chlorine and florine 😊 lifesaver ❤
Thank you for the info, my poor plant is green but the branches are bending down 😪......My pot had 4 beautiful platnts one of them dried up i was able to cut and its currently in watter, as for the othe 3 plants left in my pot one of them is now showing signs of the same.....Arizona NE window filter light..maybe mt air-conditioning...the dirt is cactus soil with perlite ....any suggestions?
Excellent ty! I live in Florida and there r a lot of different species of this plant and easily grow outside in pots or in the ground. Ur explanations in all ur videos are very clear and lot of info. Other videos r not so informative. I would have liked to have seen the actual plant with these problems, or pictures. That’s all, otherwise excellent videos for this plant, I e watched a few. I had been overwatering mine. I let it dry out well between watering, but still getting brown edges. One other thing, after making a cut at brown, it just keeps getting worst. Idk why
Really well explained and straight to the point, thanks for taking the time to clearly talk about this! I have a Dracaena fragrans at home which stayed in the same pot soil for about two years, I moved from a warm/cold place to a really hot and humid one. After moving, my Dracaena started to look weak so I tried to repot her, when I took the plant out of the soil , it had very few roots and all of them looked brown and completely hollow. I've been avoiding over watering and direct sunlight, used new soil and a bigger pot than before but the plant just keeps looking worse and worse, all of her leaves dried and have fallen, the steam lost all the green color, turning black and brown. Is it really dead now? Was it my fault during repotting? was it already dead beyond ways to help her? I'm feeling pretty bad about this, she's been with me for a while...
I watched every video you have about this plant! I recently inherited three 7' tall dracaena plants and they have every issue except the black stems. They were completely covered in dust also.
Same! My mom gave me a nearly dead dracaena she rescued from her office. She was like "try to save it good luck!" 🤣 it has 3 dead leaves on top but new growth on the bottom. 🤞
My dracena marginata bi-colors (about 21" tall) have vertical cracks in heir stems. The growth and leaf health doesn't seen to be affected but I haven't been able to find a reason for this phenomena and how to avoid further damage. I'd appreciate it if you'd address this in a future video.
Hi ,my name is Ghania i live in UK i real like the way you explain about the plant and i want to ask you about my Cheese plant sense i bought it is getting droopy and is not over Watered ,what can i do to get those leaves to look good again, thanks
I dragon plant is a little over 5 feet and the stem is curving should I cut it down. It is growing so nice. I propagated and have 2 different cutting from that plant. Growing nicely.
Thank you for a very informative video. I have a question though, I have Dracaena Massangeana with 2 stumps in a pot, have it for over 3 years. I was on vacation for 6 weeks and one of the stumps lost all the leaves and despite my efforts for last 4 months nothing is growing from that anymore! What should I do? Do I repot it and throw the leafless stump or will it grow leaves eventually? Thanks.
I am learning a lot of new things about plats, so thank you very much. I live in easten Spain and here the water comes with a lot of calcifomi salts, so it's easy to get that white "crystals". We can't do the "water cleaning " process to get rid of eat (I understand what you are talking about with the soil's clean off with water when you are burning the plant with nutrients). Are those calcium like particles damaging as well?
Thank you so much for all the information, unfortunately my plant has almost all of these problems, im trying desperately to bring it back to life again, when you say let it dry out before watering again, how long do you actually mean, a week? And how often do you recommend we water this plant?
It was so good that i almost dont know whats wrong with my plant lol.. i had gnats.. i used that stupid miracle grow “moisture control” and i knew that was a bad idea. I repotted it today with an indoor potting mix.. cleaned the leaves. And removed 2 leaves that were fully yellow and they just pulled out easily but mostly all of them have some sort of blemish on them. And the stems are brown, not black. But they were never green?
Hi, Thankyou for this video! Very informative. I think my Dracaena got frostbite while transporting it from the store to my home. Is there anything I can I do to revive the leaves?
Thanks for the video. Wish photos of the issues had been included. You mention there are treatments, but stop short of telling us what the treatments are.
I haven't ever listend to such clear and extremely exhaustive explations about plants. Also your English is excellent. Elena Italia
Ageed...
That's an effect of the Swedish cold dark winters and not dubbing English movies. Excellent English and knowledge of taking care of potted plants 😂
I’m very impressed with the depth of your knowledge about plants.
Thank you

What a thorough and fantastically informative video. The only improvement would be photos of what you're describing as well. Thank you!
Thank you! This was the only video I could find that describes everything you need to know about these plants. Great instructions 👍

Thank you so much for this wonderful channel.
I agree with this! Also, still loved the video… it really helped me understand my plant better.
Def agree with this
Very true. I would love some photos to show me which is my plants issue
Great stuff here and thank you.. It would be a bonus if there could be a few example of these deficiencies included
So nice to listen to someone who knows why and how to prevent on UA-cam. Ty for the informational vid
A very informative and interesting video you created I really enjoyed
You are the best to explain about plants
Thank you so much! My husband brought home one from the store that had mites. He didn’t realize the browning leaves that looked like new growth in the crown! Thank you so much for sharing about draceana
I really need this advice about taking care of this plant..very well explained thank you 😊
Thank you so much, such helpful information, you have solved my problem. I really enjoy watching your videos, they are so educational
This video is informative and extremely helpful! I'm taking notes when watching your lecture. Thanks for making this one!
Me, too. 😀
Thank you for giving us such informative ideas and tips on how to take care of a plant. Keep it up and keep it coming.

It's so clear and easy to understand . Great information !
Best video I have seen for beginners like me 😊
Very good and clear explanation 👍👍👍
Super informative but obviously it’s easier to move into a green house than getting these to thrive in a Nordic apartment. Thank you
Thank you my plant has fungal disease appreciate the help
Thank you for this very informative video and for including time stamps, they are super convenient 🙂👍

Best video I’ve seen! Very informative. Thank you!!👍🏾
Ok!! So i just asked a question but I just pretty much got the answer!! Thank you so much~~
Very informative and detailed explanation! We are in planting zone 9. I wonder if I can plant in ground in shade? Tysm!

I think they call that leeching the soil when u let water run thru the soil for a while n rinse it well...right?? I love ur vids thank u!!
Ok thank you
