- We are here to take you step by step through the suspension upgrade on this 2020 Ford Ranger FX4. We're dropping in a pair of Bilstein 6112 shocks up front (circlips set at a 2.5 inch lift) and the Bilstein 5160 reservoir shocks in the rear.

Very concise. Replacing my 2 year old Fox 2.0 with new ones. No oil leak but they are done. 1 year warranty.
Let us rebuild them! We're rebuilding for about $90/shock, which is half the price of a new set

Hello! I understand that it is not necessary to change the rear weight bars of the truck, as for example in the old man emu that the rear bars are changed
Not sure what you are referencing with the weight bars. Did you mean the leaf springs?
Do you do installation of shocks you sell, or have recommended installers?
We do not currently offer any installation services. If you're local to us, we can suggest a couple of places. But if not, then look for any shop that focuses on trucks and/or off-roading

I want to put some 285/70 17’s what strut do you recommend? It’s just a 2wd nothing fancy, I just want a nice stance on it. I don’t want to do anything in the rear.
Although you do not want to do anything in the rear, the rear end of these Rangers is where most of the ride quality issues come from. Plus upgrading the front and leaving those dinky stock rear shocks back there is certainly a recipe for some quirky handling characteristics. @@ShockSurplus thanks for getting back to me. The reason I didn’t want to do anything in the rear is because I don’t like how the rear is higher than the front. I’d like it to be even as possible or even have the front a bit higher.
Changing the rear shocks will not change ride height, so it is still highly recommended to change the rear. That Stage 1 kit from Eibach includes rear shocks as well so you can get it all in one package
What would you recommend setting it at so it’s level once settled ? Thanks!
We recommend going to the top on a 4WD model and setting 5 or 6 on a 2WD.
@ShockSurplus what did you mean by going by going to the top for 4wd? Got a 2023 ford ranger xl and want to get the 6112/5160 combo btw. Is that compatible with my make year and model?
What shocks do you think are the best for the 2wd?

depends how hard you drive it. if you like going fast offroad or in the desert, then no. If that's not your thing and you hit forest roads on the weekend every once in a while, then yes.
