Too much trouble. Mount it to your belt. Or you could make belt loops on the sheath. I make battle and survival blades and would never recommend one of my customers carry that way. But points for trying.
I wanted a way that doesn't rely on needing a belt. I would not call this a go-to-war setup. More of a "throw on some pants to answer the door and you have a hidden knife" setup.
