Thanks! Richard that was super helpful - would have seriously struggled without your help - cheers and best wishes from the Twiglet family including baby Lua - she's 5 days old already !Happy grandpa now.
Thanks Richard i will get it updated today following the prompts from your video - very kind of you to give support - soon i'll be bashing out a tune ! Just in case anyone is updating from V1.1 to V 1.6 - like myself - you need to update to V 1.3 first - then V 1.6 you don't need V 1.4 and V 1.5 . Unlike the other update files, v.1.3 contains THREE separate .img files required to update - you have to place all three on the card and power on the module while holding down the encoder ( think you did that anyway ).Will update you when i've done it.
@@Bobo That's interesting ! Oto from Erica answered my query about firmware update from V 1.1 to V 1.6 and he said if you miss V1.3 you won't have the rebooter and V 1.6 won't work ? I'm struggling to do the update - i copy/pasted ALL the files on LXR sd card and it didn't work so i reinstalled the old files which i had saved and got it going again then updated from V 1.1 to V 1.3 - deleting V 1.1 img file and it worked although not many kits were there and tried to install V 1.6 but it says file corrupted. I used a 32gb new sd card starting from scratch including the factory projects blah blah but still can't get any joy.Perhaps i should take up bird watching but then i'd probably hold the telescope the wrong way round and end up turning condors in to humming birds ! Once saw one in Cuba ( humming bird ) - do you have humming birds where you are ? Because i'm a numpty i need someone to show me how to do it and Richard came to the rescue which was very helpful. The other thing about bird watching is that telescopes don't need firmware updates but then you can't play super duper bass lines on them either.
@@twiglet2214 interesting… I guess since it worked just fine for me it should be good. Just in case I wrote to them to ask if there is anything to worry about. ☺️
:( At least Erica's support is very good. I suppose you've done all the usual stuff: Tried a different card; restored the old version; re-download the files...
i accidently deleted the kits and now i cant get them back on the card. It shows the kits are on the card through my computer but they dont show on the machine.
That sort of issue is almost always to do with either the naming or file structure. Have a look from about 4:00 and see if your file structure matches.

That's exceedingly kind and most appreciated :) The very best to you and all the Twiglets 🎶🎵🎶
Much thanks 🎉!
Thank you for your info. Only to let everybody know, the LXR-02 eurorack module has another different firmware although projects are compatible
Do you mean the original LXR?
@@RichardDeHove the eurorack module
@@pedrogomis Ah yes! thanks
I was all excited. I thought they were a new update!
You know you're committed to audio tech when you're excited about a potential firmware update ;D
@@RichardDeHove Haha right ! Honestly, I'd love an update of some kind, at least a long list of bug fixes.
I would love a feature or improvement dive into latest fw on this.

Hi! I updated from 1.2 to 1.6 and it worked just fine. ☺️

I didn't realize that at least 1.3 was needed to go to 1.6 - very interesting and a real trap.
@@RichardDeHove my unit seems to be working after going from 1.2 to 1.6 but now I’m feeling a bit weary and might need to ask about it.

hey thanks for answering your e-mail!
I'm the guy that dropped the card into the enclosure hahaha
I remember it well :D Possibly a test from the Gods to measure your good humour and patience.
Is anybody sharing LXR02 kit files? If so, where?
Odd isn't it? You'd think there'd be a market for high-quality kits. Maybe it's because good kits take a lot of tweaking.
The new update 1.6. The lights are on but nobody’s home. No sound😮. Got a support ticket. Bummer.

Just wondering if i should do a factory reset first so i'm starting with a clean sheet,as it were,so to speak ?
There's not all that much to reset since the global settings are saved per project anyway. Maybe if it ain't broke don't fix it?
