Great to see you back with another vid on this great (and at times frustrating) box of joy. I've been making drones with it for the last while so this comes at a great time. It's opening up some great sounding options I'd not delved into! Been really enjoying using kit switching to keep things evolving. Wish it was a midi CC (I don't think it is??). Also using it as a sequencer to trigger other synths, playing with nte settings on various voices has been pretty fruitful to create semi-random sequences:) Thanks again Richard!
Thanks C0unt. The MIDI spec is pretty impressive but doesn't include any kit stuff. I hope it gets another firmware tweak soon - lots of little things could be improved like the delay effects, pattern rotate, song mode etc. Got any links to your LXR stuff? Sounds interesting.
Yes! I knew you'd return to her. Good thing the "time brain power entry cost is low"... I'm running out of brain credits. ;) Honestly, when it comes to FX I'm ok if the onboard are weak... this just gives me the excuse to buy new dedicated FX pedals.
Ja schon das Intro kommt in allerbester TG Manier daher ! Aber auch der nachfolgende Exkurs ist sehr erfreulich und spannend !!! Ein schönes Gerät, dieser LXR.
Another great LXR-02 demo. One of my favourite machines in my collection. Just a question about the 2nd MOD page. Is the assignable parameter actually affected by an envelope, or is it selecting a parameter to be controlled by velocity?
Good point, I should have made that clear. The second MOD page is just affected by velocity. The first page is an actual envelope but it's hardwired to pitch.
@@RichardDeHove Does that mean that it's not active if not controlled by a velocity sensitive controller? i.e. if triggering from the onboard sequencer?
Actually I think I might know this better than I thought - you can set velocity per step eh - but can't be played in other than from external vel. sens. controller?
Yeah, a LXR-02 video! There are not a lot on youtube, thanks!
You are the only synth UA-camr who is devoted to gnarly aggressive industrial sounds. Keep up the great work!
That's what an early diet of Throbbing Gristle and punk will do to you :)
Yes more please!
For me it was Ministry and Skinny Puppy but the destination was the same@@RichardDeHove
A quality pedigree
this is incredible!

whoa. Didn't know you could sequence other things I need to check out the midi implementation again.

It only took a few days for me to realize I'd made a terrible mistake selling my old LXR. It's small and aggressive like a half-starved rat.

Der LXR ist nicht glatt, aber er hat Charme und Biss wie eine misshandelte Ratte :)

Correct. Although I suppose you could use an LFO to control the velocity.
