This tutorial applies to Bird, Spin, Goat, Lime, Skip, and the new Uber, Lyft electric scooters there are coming soon.

That’s not how it works, he’s just showing how to put a bird scooter back in service IF you’re a Bird Mechanic.
So if I'm not mistaken, you are showing us how to disconnect the GPS sensor, reset the device and power it back on for our own use? I mean, I think this guy just showed us how to do everything but re-paint it. Your video needs a better title brother.

For those of you thinking of stealing remember in most states a felony is stealing anything of value worth more than $300 these scooters are worth more than that according to them (can find online from wholesalers cheaper) and most of them have more than one gps. Hence why when people take the scooters and put in house or wherever thinking they took gps off by removing the big box the company or its employees still know where to go to find it. I heard lime charged $6k if stolen
nah police don't even care about a stolen phone costing 1k
sadly I am sorry to tell you that they only have that GPS, it is a pity that they can be stolen so easily but the reality is like this, there is no other tracking GPS
Hello, question..i got a couple of brand new 3 wheel Ford Spin T-60/S-200 scooters..they came with no batteries or chargers..noticed a video on You Tube by you..any ideas on how to get these fired up?.. bought tuem for my boys and hope it wasnt a complete waste of money..thanks for any info
So the Bird Brain, uses off the shelf Ebay GPS/GSM modules for their electronics.
I was wondering why they included a micro-usb in the start kit. In the bird guides they tell you to use a jumper tool...I seriously had no idea where to get one. ::facepalm:: Thanks!

Hi there I found a Bird One and I bought a new pro m365 dasboard and a charger for the scooter. But where can I finally take a ride on the scooter ?

I'm confused, if these have GPS built in then why do they not update locations in the app at regular intervals?
I've got myself a Bird One e-step I have a full battery but I can't find a way to get it started. I looked at your video but I've got another board underneath the steering ( I'll send you a picture of it ) because I can't find the mini usb port on it. So please can you help me with this ?

lol new bird 2 model is considerably harder to open...this is childs play in comparison....they have def. learnt their lesson...but not impossible
Yo man I need your help with something!
I recently bought a used Bird Xiaomi at a police auction.On the scooter I am working on the cover screws are #8 torx and they are accessed through the top, under the bird sticker .I have a different 'brain' with no USB port.. How do I get this type up and running ? Bird has left San Francisco so the scooter cannot be turned on with the app.

Harry Canary did you ever figure out how to use it? I recently bought one too but whenever I start it up it beeps like it’s still owned by bird.
I have one as well and want to 'jail break' it from Bird. I believe you can use a M365 'brain' module purchased from Ebay or other places and replace the Bird brain to use it. It's either this you find a savvy electrician who can bypass the brain all together. I have found NO way to get it to go without locking up in security mode thus far and imagine this was Birds exact intention in the programming of their brain module.

Jack O'Hanlon just buy the tuch on off switch. You have to remove the bird box with that so called motherboard it the box where the QR Code is.

I just bought one from the San Diego Police auction. It's brand new and when it was left in the middle of the street the cops put it in their trunk and turned it in. I paid $80 for it.
Westcoast Johnny here is the model number M365 for a bird scooter. Us it to search for parts on google I believe the scooter maker is Xiaomi M365. You can buy the original mother board witch is just an electronic power on off switch. Good luck an nice come up.

why bother paying? just buy the board off ebay for $30 and grab any scooter off the sidewalk and change it out. company can't track it once you do. bam, $30 scooter.

Are the lime scooters basically the same as bird construction wise?
No, they are completely different. The bird scooter has an extra battery in the brain compartment for when the actual scooter battery goes flat where as Lime doesn’t.
Do you know what kind of GPS tracker these Scooters use and where can I get one? They seem like they would be great for my motorcycle

It uses LTE-M and AGPS, I believe Samsung offers one called the SmartThings Tracker.

Ive dwcided not too becuz im going back to school for a month and this will hinder my time. If somehow i can leave 1 hour before work ends without them notice or track me on there app i would do it.

Nice but you are still HOOKED to GPS... question is.. IS GPS actualy USE your phone to SEND location trought?.. or.. is SPECIAL SIM with GPSR instaled on BOARD?? (i make some HW with CHIP SIMcard) looking like not if you not remowing ANTENA.. But.. still case you have no SPECTRAL ANALYZER or you are not abble read all IC data.. I SUGGEST! (strongly) remove dat BIG CERAMIC SQUARE with solded on center.. it was GPS antena. just unsolder dat.. or clip it out by KNIFE! and there we go., FREE RIDEE! with no police on back..
