I remember finishing this raid with my uncle, reliving the gameplay through this video makes me hear his voice and the joy we had the first time we killed that king, we used to make theories about future content and about the darkness but sadly he passed away this year, the last raid we did was The Leviathan. Now that the darkness is coming it's sad how he could never see or get to beat their ass. I still play destiny 2 sometimes, dedicating every game I play to him. Rest in Peace Tito Chard love you and we miss you.

King’s Fall was my favorite because of the fact that oryx was too powerful to be simply shot in the face. In fact, the only way to damage him was to complete a ritual and then use that to damage him.

All these raids like VOG coming back are hype, but at the same time they are going to be a joke because of Well of radiance. Well of radiance makes any ACTIVITY way too easy, because it's like you're invincible while you stand in it. I won't be surprised if bungie vaults the well of radiance or nerfs it.

    • @jerules4909
      @jerules4909 4 роки тому

@@AAce_87 I wouldnt be surprised if they did nerf it. Because they nerfed lunafactions and those made pve a complete joke. Bosses wouldnt last a second. But it's hard to nerf well in a way that wont make it not worth using over like nova bomb. There are ways to do it it would just be hard. But I agree well makes for some pretty copy and paste dps phases in destiny 2. I mean in destiny 1 usually we would just gather in the bubble but I mean now there is like no other way to dps. It's just well then spam

Haven't watched the video yet, but I just wanted to share my own experience with this raid.
This was the first Raid I ever did in Destiny. I'm a social phobe with Asperger's, so it's hard for me to reach out to people, especially people I don't know. But when I learned about the Touch of Malice, and how fun it was, I knew I had to have it!
It took me a few weeks, but I finally worked up the courage to go to DestinyLFG and look for Raid groups. It took a few tries, but I finally found a Raid group that was willing to teach me how the Raid works. Even befriended one of them. This was a big accomplishment for me, and I was rewarded with a fun weapon, and an appreciation for the Destiny Raids. It may not seem like much those reading this, but this will always be a moment I remember, and a reminder for why I love Destiny. I sincerely hope they bring back the Touch of Malice in The Witch Queen DLC. What better weapon to bring down Savathûn than a weapon powered by the heart of her own brother?

I started playing Destiny weeks after The Taken King DLC came out. I played it solo and had a good time until I reached light level somewhere around 290 or 300. I was always wondering what this Kings Fall Raid was, where you had to be 6 players and without a team searching function.
After some time exploring the Dreadnaught I met a guy, he was doing this ritual thing, cannot remember the name, at the portal where you later would go into the raid. I helped him out, we had some fun with emotes and afterwards he sent me an invite to a party chat. Long story short: Me and this guy joined a clan a few days later, exploring the secrets of Destiny. I was blown away from the secret black spindle mission and completely fell in love with the game at the moment I got into the Kingsfall raid. I will never forget that feeling when Oryx rose from the depth at the final encounter. I have never experienced anything close to that in any other game.
Today, many years later, I still play with the same people, only our clan name has changed. The couple that started the clan are married now and my girlfriend that bought me the game is the mother of my daughter. I have a lot of good memories that I associate with this game.
This is what Destiny is for me and I really hope that Bungie will bring this raid back to D2. And I am expecting something similar from the Witch Queen DLC: Complex mechanics and long damage phases where you shoot all your munition into the boss.

Bungie: Okay so we’re supposed to have Destiny 2 next year so this last raid has to be fantastic. ‘Kings Fall’ we’ll call it. One encounter, four bosses. It’ll be great.
    Kings Fall: *Is fantastic*
Bungie: That’s great, now we have a great capstone for Destiny 1.
    Destiny 2: *Is delayed*
Bungie: Well shit, how in the hell do we top that?
Wrath of the Machine: ~What’s that coming over the hill~
Serious note though, Wrath of the Machine is to date my favourite Destiny raid and I cannot wait until it comes into Destiny 2 through the DCV so that I can share that experience with my friend who only got into Destiny with Forsaken.

you can always just take a break from D2 and have them play D1 with you. If they like D2 then there's no doubt they'll love D1, just gotta someone's gotta fork up about $60 fir the entire D1 experience, really wish they would either make D1 free to play, or at least cut down the price to maybe $10. Bungie owns the rights, they can do that. Or they at least SHOULD own all the rights for the Destiny franchise THEY created. one thing I will hate about the vaulting and removal of content from D2 when Beyond Light drops, is that story-wise it won't be new player friendly, as if they play through D1, you're missing 3 campaigns of story that lead INTO the present day events of D2. D1 and D2 work amazingly well when you play straight through them both with one character each and see the whole picture.

My team was pretty under leveled on day 1 (265 to 280). As best we could tell, we actually got to Warpriest pretty quickly; some streams we were watching were still behind us. Given our low light level, we actually had to do 3/0/3 in the Totems encounter, as we couldn’t kill the boomer knights fast enough to not get ganked on the totems, and whoever was putting their buff into the plate would immediately run back to their side when done. Warpriest took us HOURS though, half of that from understanding the mechanics and the other half from just trying to get enough DPS. By the time we finished Warpriest, the fastest teams were on Oryx. We ended up quitting on Golgoroth, as we figured out the mechanics pretty quickly be just didn’t have the DPS to win. Still an amazing day 1 experience even if we didn’t win.

Out of d1s raids, i think this one is the one i spent the most time in. Though i only completed it a few times (solo player so mechanic heavy activities can either be super easy or impossible depending on who finds your lfg) i do love this raid. The atmosphere was top tier, and while the weapons may not have been the top tier, god they were so beautiful. Really wish i had a compotent team back then to get those harrowed weapons

this was my all time favorite raid, I had a hero moment with oryx just because I decided screw around. Me and 2 hunters died during the final stand, causing the last 3 teammates deciding to wipe...I figured since we were going to have to wait on the Titan bubble anyway, I self-rezed, and started to fire at him with my touch of malice. Just as he went for the field wipe (he was right at the end of the animation) his chest exploded. The rest of my team went nuts. I stared at my screen in disbelief, switched to my rocket launcher and did my usual fire at the ground in celebration

One thing I would change. When you mentioned how there was no big change with the hard mode for the deathsingers. There was.
The change was that, after the first damage phase, it would start immediately. In normal mode, you had a couple of seconds to figure out who went where; in hard mode, you did not.

Your description of the Oryx encounter is how I felt every single time trying to sherpa people through that raid. You just could never tell the entire encounter at once. You had to do it in sections and once they had each part memorized, introduce a new one. What memories.
Or team didnt have enough power. We got to Golgy and got gear checked.
