    A job well done, Luke! You'd have saved them both time and money, despite his accident, Franco seems unbound by anything, what a grand fellow! To see you quite cheerful is also so very heartening. New job just started, did you say? (Anyhoo, we'd misidentified one Phillips for another once asked the wrong one about getting gemstones out of their host rock, is this something your dad-in-law does? I'm getting further into error there? I'm sure it's something you once mentioned, before he found that big specimen with his 5000? I'll stop here!)
    Looking forward to the weekly Dig It Detecting episode, we dig it! Cheers, Gabi.

      Thanks so much @Gabi Valla a difficult job, however I feel we did help locate quite a few pipes to help the plumbers when digging. Thankfully I don't have to do any of the pipe repair patch up work either😆
      And yes a brand new Job, which is all to be explained more soon in an upcoming video. It's a great job to, which I was very lucky to get😊
      My Father in Law Andrew loves his gemstones and rock most definitely too! He cuts, polishes and picks up rocks everywhere he goes🙂 I remember mentioning in one of my videos a while ago. I will have to shoot a video showing how he does it all one day and share. Just fascinating and now he has me picking up odd looking rocks in the bush to.
      Thanks so much for watching Gabi, take care until our next Dig It Detecting Episode😊⛏️

    Hey Luke,
    Can you please do a comparison video on whats the diffrence between the Xterra pro, Elite and equinox 800 and 900 please. Doesnt have to be out in the field but just an explanation???

    Blue metal really plays havoc with detectors, you did well to identify anything

    • @DigItDetecting
      @DigItDetecting  5 місяців тому

      It most certainly does @Jeff Holems thankfully we were able to separate and individualise a few neat clean signals and all at a similar 6 inch or so depth. Hopefully fingers crossed it helped out the plumbers later that day⛏️
      Cheers heaps mate🙂

    I have the 900, and after researching a bit about the Elite, I wonder how the two compare. How many frequencies does the Elite use simultaneously? I do know that the Elite doesn't have the gold prospecting mode, but I don't see me using that anyway.

      Hi there @Daniel Gibson thanks so much for your comment mate. I must admit I missed it sorry.
      Metal Detecting is probably one of the best things to ever enter my life too mate. Anytime I'm having a bad day, it can always be relieved with a bit of detecting. Doesn't even matter what im finding, just the enjoyment of being outdoors and on the hunt!
      I don't know where I'd ever be without it now!
      I really hope you manage to find time to run that Equinox 800 of yours around soon to man, no matter what your finding, just enjoy the beeps😁
      Take care and happy hunting out there mate. Cheers🤝👍👍⛏️

    Good job Luke, so easy to run yourself over it happened to me. I was helping someone jump start their car when they broke down and with jumper cables hooked up the car wasn’t starting so I went to my car and without getting in I revved the car , the car wasn’t properly in park and the lurched backwards and because the car door was open I was caught by the door and luckily I went under the door and not the car, a few grazes and my pride hurt ( lucky the hand brake was on so when the revs died down the car stopped, ) I reconnected the cables and got him going, it was dark at the time, I was just thankful that it was in reverse and not in drive, it could have been a lot worse.

      Thanks heaps @Poul Skovdam hopefully by marking a few dots and locating a few pipes we helped out the plumbers.
      Wow so lucky as you say that the car stopped, otherwise that sounds like it could have been so much worse. Accidents happen so quick and easy! My grandfather did very similar and was pinned between 2 cars whilst jump-starting. Got to be ao careful.
      Take care until the next. Cheers heaps again Poul👍👍🙂⛏️

      Thanks so much @I Dig It Melbourne I always enjoy helping out Franco and his lovely wife, it's certainly never about the money either. But still always paid for my efforts on the farm which I appreciate. Unfortunately not the greatest atm either but no slowing him down that's for sure😊

    G'day a different challenge than usual..who doing the installation of the sprinkler system use gal elbows & fittings crazy? Brass or plastic any day saves time & money.

    • @DigItDetecting
      @DigItDetecting  5 місяців тому +1

      A different challenge once again @Ian Dibley but a fun one at that mate. I do believe we marked out correctly quite a few joins, hopefully helping the plumber out. All to be replaced with brass and plastic now, but 34 years ago when it was all installed they used Gal. No wonder he has had so many leaks over the years with tractors and farm vehicles driving over it all to. Time for an upgrade

      Thanks so much @mazdaram226 thus was a super tricky job, however since been told that my detecting and concrete marking with paint helped immensely in finding those old broken pipes by the plumbers😊 Fantastic to hear.
      Thanks so much again for watching😊

    Your going dotty Luke! You've spent far to much time chasing stakes, now your chasing hidden underground pipes, next you'll be chasing railway lines, who knows where you'll end up, doing that! But I'm glad to hear that your going to do some hunts there in the future, In the Hope's that we'll get to see them. Franco's going to be off his feet for a while, I'm cringing thinking about how it happened, No thanks, that's not on my bucket list! Good catching up with you! Cheers Mate!

      @DigItDetecting  5 місяців тому +1

      Haha i wont argue that one @wayne armstrong between all the work we done in that paddock and now detecting bitumen😆😆
      We will definitely be back to scout out around a few old sites in weeks to follow at Francos. They aren't the oldest of sites but still lots of fun to detect and share🙂 Take care until our next adventure Wayne, whenever that may be🫣⛏️👍

      We haven't been able to fault the new Xterra Elite just yet @Working 925 detecting but I'm sure it has its limits mate😉 It did a great job identifying targets in that bluestone rock👌
