Today we're out on the sand with our metal detector looking for the illusive goodies.
A few hours spent treasure hunting paid off again today..

Sometimes go to some of my best gold beaches an just dig iron...
If you have a big iron nail,you will not hear the gold within 20cm..

Yep found my first Platinum ring 2 weeks ago using a Quest X10 Pro detector.
Nice! I'm still on the hunt for the all illusive platinum... maybe one day..

Have you noticed the arm cuff loosening up? I went through 2 elites now because the arm cuff begins to loosen. It will feel like the shaft has play in it but it is the arm cuff as your swinging.
I had to tighten the bolt once because it seemed to back itself out a little. I'll keep an eye on it!
Question for you. Do you have a wooden dowel rod in the scoop pole for added strength or is the carbon fiber strong enough?
I've seen a few rings in videos found around ropes. I wonder if sliding ones ring finger while letting go of the ropes is why. Something to keep in mind. As well as other things people might grab onto and let go of in swimming holes.

I usually turn in the coins when I get a good amount but for the jewelry it really depends.
If you can get it back to a rightful owner it's a good idea but sometimes it's impossible.

I didnt make it outside today, I might venture out tomorrow in 50% chance of rain, I won't melt, but maybe not, I'll see tomorrow
Austin..so what're your thoughts on the Elite? I got one.. (kicking myself for not getting the expedition pack tho). I'll just use my x-terra pro wired headphones for now.
It's been treating me pretty good!
I did a little experimenting with the Equinox 600 vs the Elite today... they seem to be pretty close.

Yes the Eilite is SMF. You can either use the ML85’s headhones, or you can run a earbud/headphone cable from the audio output located on the back of the control head.
They are some off brands I got a long time ago, not sure if they are sold anymore.
Yep the Elite is multi like silver said.
I'll jump in and endorse the Grey Ghost Amphibians for the Nox series. Even if you don't do exclusively water hunting, or even just occasionally, the response and clarity is is amazing. One of the best accessories to improve your performance and comfort.
