I plan on bringing it out to the woods soon, so I installed a new proper screen protector and bought a case coverfor the control head to keep it protected. It’s my go to detector right now!

Many people don't have mention that Xterra has 5100 Li-ion mAh battery and 3 Score has 3250 mAh. Also, the Xterra has a wider ID scale, giving more accurate feedback but 3 Score has more single frequency options more search modes carbon fiber shafts and perfect support. Difficult choice.

@@ПетровВиктор-й3п Which Equinox are you referring to, becuse there is a difference among them now. Otherwise, you’re wrong. Insiders have said the Elite has the Manticore processor and chipset, which seems to be the case just from the time from power up to search ready compared to the Nox600 I used side-by-side with it. It would also mean it would allow the software to process the signals faster, and that would have a bearing on key software features/settings.

Okey how low? You mean smal nuggets? I Just hunt gold rings. How do the tripple score do with smal gold rings then comperes to x-terra elite? I have a deus 2 and want a backup machine. What would you choose of this 2 ?
@BlaserAndDesert the Elite is coming on top with gold, like you mentioned small gold rings. If your looking for gold go with the Elite. MLs multi range at the moment shines on the deep low conductors.

Hey, Elite seems to have the edge on depth in my soil. Uploading a video now. The Nokta might be tighter due to having a smaller scale of 1-60. The Elite is through 99 and even negative numbers for iron.

Hi Paul, yes the tests are getting more difficult. 1.0 was an improvement. 1.0 filters were causing allot of frustration for people so the next update reverted it back in most programs. Now the other companies are improving further.
Concerning the Xp Deus 2, it seems in my tests and observations that the 13 inch coil does better in heavy iron. I can't figure out exactly why. I need to research this more.
Great test Mike, what a job Nokta and Minelab did on these budget machines. I don't believe you could get the Xp to come close to hitting those targets that these machines did at a 1/3 of the cost for the Xp😂😂😂

I was going to head down on a weekend but Calabash said he will be making one this week with the Elite and Triple Score so I’m looking forward to that test as well.
I was using mine on the beach this past weekend. When the water receded , no reading, when the water hit the coil, immediate 10. I'll be interested to see what settings have to be used to see what this machine is capable of. Should be fun!
Blimy mate , xp need to get in gear , especially with it supposedly being “best unmasker” , brutal performance from minelab and nokta, along with the price , great for us detectorists
How does the Legend perform on lvl 5 similiar to the Triple Score? I do like the menu layout on the Triple Score better of course alot of the settings we have on the Legend were an after thought and added during updates which IMO make navigating not so great. I'm not 100% happy with the Legend but I just haven't found anything that much better yet. Curious to see how the VX9 performs I will be really blown away if it can pass lvl 4 out of the box without any updates. Coming from using the V3i I really like the VX spectrograph / 3 tier display. I hope it works as well as advertised.
The Manticore can hit them all bit you are raising the upper ferrous limits which is close to the iron range. Same as this test, i opened up the Score and Elite. So they will do it but could/will get some nail popping in the field.
For Relic hunting - Field 2, recovery 2, iron Filter -1 or 0 for best unmasking. For more depth in clean (not trashy) areas. Field 1, recovery 1, Iron Filter 1.

Awesome video! hope you can help me out just got a manticore and its chatters like if its a hot machine i turned down my sensitivity and it still makes noise gets difficult to detect does the deus 2 have that same issue?
Hey Mase, actually my D2 is a bit more subject to emi than the manticore. Both of mine run stable though. When there is emi they have to be noise canceled or lowered down a bit. If yours is acting up even away from emi (your cell phone could bother it as well) and your sensitivity is down you might need to have it checked out.
hi, thanks for the reply. There’s actually a video of some guy showing a video of a vortex, hitting a coin between nails, and he couldn’t do it on his manticore but I noticed that he has the same chatter like mine. I was curious if that’s how how all manticore chatters and was debating if I should go with a deus 2 instead. video is by treasure detective name manticore vs vortex
I like them both. Elite has a huge coil selection and the Triple has currently more features and is cheaper. If you like ML audio or menu layout vs Nokta audio and layout. That would be the choice.
With the Elite its one button. You can make it one button as well with the D2 by making two custom programs next to each other. One with iron on and one with off. I like hearing the iron but there is a benefit to using both. With iron volume off if a ferrous target is popping a non ferrous tone you are not going to get as much info with it off. We see the impact of running it on as the ferrous ID over riding the non ferrous on tougher tests. Having 2 programs on the D2 will make it easy to switch back and forward and as for the Elite its as easy as hitting the horse shoe button.
To me Nokta did better to me.Which machine do you perfer? Which one is deeper ? Which one work at beach better? Just asking your opinion. Thanks for demonstration and imformation.
To me the ML did better on a couple and the Nokta did better on a couple. This could have to do with the level of the max recovery set in each/test layout/iron filter. Not sure but both are awesome. I have not been to the beach with either and both are deep and neck and neck in my soil. I have a bunch of Nox coils so to me thats a plus, being able to use a large coil selection of Nox coils. The Nokta has the Multiple single frequencies and the relic mode. Also $100 ish cheaper. Its going to be user preference on those listed above but performance wise they are right with each other.
Very interesting test. As you know I have the Legend & love the machine. I’m thinking hard about selling my Legend & getting the Triple Score. My battery is shot on my Legend & I can only use it with the external battery pack. I’ve contacted Andy & he said I’ll need to contact Nokta & see if it’s still under warranty. It’s been 3 years at least. Does the Triple have the 6” or SC15 coil available? I know the Elite & Triple are neck & neck, but which one would you use if those were your only options? If the Legend is still under warranty then I’ll just have it fixed, but if not I may sell it plus all the coils separate & buy the Triple Score or possibly the Elite. I may buy the Vortex 😂😂😂😂
You had me laugh at the last sentence haha. I am really looking forward to testing it. I am not sure about coils. I think there is already a selection of coils for the Score. The Nokta has more features. Maybe updates coming for both we will have to wait and see. Both perform (depth, unmasking) right with each other. Cannot go wrong with either. Sometimes its easy for me to say which one i would pick but in this case its what menu/features/tones/price do you like better.
If your warranty is up on the Legend you can replace the battery yourself quite easily. Just buy one online, crack it open and plug the new battery with the exact same specs in. You'll be back up and running. All of these machines will have battery issues at some point.
@@IffySignals I have a D2 and D2 lite so that would be nice. XP was very close to getting a solid ID number with V 1.0, but the falsing on colonial nails was too much. I fear it will have to wait for the XP Deus 3.
Can you make a video on the Elite like the Deus 2 for coins with notches. I use the Deus 2 in pitch audio with two notches, First, 7 - 58 and 2nd. 65 - 80. This is a good coin program and It destroys the coins. ? Thanks
@@IffySignals yea i was hopin that wasnt the case i was really excited about it until i got it and it just never seemed right in any of the multi bands (outside the beach mode)
I am sending my Elite back for repair. It doesn't discriminate iron at all and rings up true numbers at the 44/46 on a sweet tone. I do feel like I maybe rushed into the purchase and looked at the Nokta TS. Of the two machines, which one would you recommend?
A tester on you tube claimed that a manufacturer told him that they wanted that the detector performed better on so called air tests then they actually did in the ground, I don't know if its true or not but it means that this test(air), doesn't say anything if he is right about it. Iffy this has nothing to do with you're efforts, gr. M.
This is to show what a newer processor will do.....the processor in the Xterra elite is the same as the Manticore. Not the 700/900 Equinox series....so in a way the Elite is a "mini" Manticore. I have the Xterra Elite and the had the Manticore they are both equal to depth on the beach. Testing the D2 against the Xterra Elite I haven't found a target yet the Elite will not pick up depth wise. Now the D2 will hit on gold open earrings better than the Elite. But its all about the processor and software that will win the game here. XP probably has something coming down the road that will be mind blowing. Probably just a head unit that is little bigger than the one we have now on the D2 with a color screen all you have to do is put in your current coil numbers and go hunting.....
@@allarhermas1179 The XP Deus I with headhones and extra coil is $799. The Minelab Elite Expedition Pack is $599. The T.S. is $479. I am waiting for nokta to figure out the constant 33 pull-tab lol
Great job as usual iffy.
Thank you.
Interesting. Looking forward to trying it out.
I'm torn?? Both are exceptional machines! If you had to choose which way would you go?
I like them both. Elite has a huge coil selection and the Triple has currently more features and is cheaper. If you like ML audio or menu layout vs Nokta audio and layout. That would be the choice.
Should I use my Deus 11 and Elite with my iron volume off until this problem is addressed and corrected
I just want to know how do remember what buttons to push, switching between 3 machines, I can't even remember one, of course I am old.
Luckily both follow the same layout as prior machines.
What’s the best waterproof beginner detector under $500 currently?
Would love to have Bluetooth but not a deal breaker
Under 500 i would say the Triple Score, $579 for the Minelab Elite.
Would the same test with the X-Terra and the Manticore be similar results between the two machines?
Yes, upper ferrous limits needs to be lowered for level 4 and 5. Kind of the same thing as I showed here by running the min IF.
@@IffySignals same tech same result lol
Crazy how the market changes. I bought a Tesoro Compadre SE 8 years ago. Now i get double score for the same money.
Definitely 👍
Thanks Iffy, always enjoy. Little disappointed with the Deus2😢
Im sure updates are coming. Hopefully this is part of them.
@@IffySignals I have a D2 and D2 lite so that would be nice. XP was very close to getting a solid ID number with V 1.0, but the falsing on colonial nails was too much. I fear it will have to wait for the XP Deus 3.
@@jaystrongbow6111 hopefully something comes. Its been a while since an update for it.
Can you make a video on the Elite like the Deus 2 for coins with notches. I use the Deus 2 in pitch audio with two notches, First, 7 - 58 and 2nd. 65 - 80. This is a good coin program and It destroys the coins. ? Thanks
Thanks definitely fun notching on the D2. Helps a bunch with pulling silver as well when cherry picking.
Great video iffy
Thanks you Martin.
Mike how is depth with the triple score,as good as legend?
Same, even the base Score (in clean ground because there is no If) is right with it in my soil.
Hey mike i uploaded a video of the weird vdi on a quarter so yea just tryin to figure out if theres somwthin wrong or if its really bad interference
Just watched. Sent that to Andy. Machine might have to go back. Definitely does not seem right.
@@IffySignals yea i was hopin that wasnt the case i was really excited about it until i got it and it just never seemed right in any of the multi bands (outside the beach mode)
@@treasurehuntingnewyork5979 Nokta will make it right.
I am sending my Elite back for repair. It doesn't discriminate iron at all and rings up true numbers at the 44/46 on a sweet tone.
I do feel like I maybe rushed into the purchase and looked at the Nokta TS.
Of the two machines, which one would you recommend?
Its gonna be all on features and price. Performance they are neck and neck. ML - larger coil selection. Nokta - features and lower price.
Thx for the info.
Which one would you recommend between the legend and the elite?
I like the Elite and Triple Score better.
Sold my Equinox and Manticore as I decided to keep my 3030. Will probably add a triple score as my light weight grab and go machine.
Good luck 👍
Хорошая работа,спасибо👍
Welcome!
Best Hobby in the 🌎
Definitely 👍
I would like to see the manticore on the same test
Hi, i do have videos of it over the tests. Just not level 5 as those are newer.
@@IffySignals new video would be good if have time doing same tests
Color screen.. that would be cool.
Looking to get second detector. Legend or minelab 800 opinion
I like the 800 more.
Nox 600 or Notka score? THANKS!
700 or Triple Score. I would take the Triple over the 600.
cool video but when doing a true depth test you really should do it under ground !!!
Thx Ricky, this was unmasking. Not depth.
I like them machines'thank you for them with us.
Welcome Jimmy
@ iffy signals, please do a deus 1 video
Sorry been a long time since I had a D1.
For that kind of money i really think that D1 is better than the Elite and so on . And there arent any videos of D1 Luke yours , so it would be cool.
@@allarhermas1179 The XP Deus I with headhones and extra coil is $799. The Minelab Elite Expedition Pack is $599. The T.S. is $479. I think the Elite and T.S. are hard to beat for combined performance and value. Many are saying XP may soon be recleasing either a new model or model updates. Maybe worth waiting for? We’ll see...
XP is taking a long time to fix the 7-8-9 issues for good targets.
Lets hope soon.
how to odar
Direct from a dealer. Where are you located?
Great vid the heat is on for XP
Thx Dave!
Thx for the info. 👍
Ευχαριστώ πολύ!
Welcome
What's better, elite or equinox700(900)?
Equinox, either one. Just a couple more options.
Why would I dig a 33 which is a pull-tab ?
Thats mid conductor (gold range). Going to miss rings by not digging those.
@@IffySignals ...or miss masked coins like in your video. Or miss coins on edge. Or miss fringe coins. Or miss coins dragged down by other trash. Get the point Mike-jc?
@user-yp1dx5zu9d 👍
@@DIGA-m7q If I am hunting in a fairground I am not going to dig all the pull-tabs get the point iffy

I am reevaluating how I will run my Xterra on the beach now tons of iron on mine
Good luck.
Nice test👌🏼 I strictly use Xp products and they better get there machines fixed! I’ll be getting a triple score or X terra! Why not for $479
Not happy with Xp! They should have already had a update to fix this problem
Hopefully they will. The more people talk about it the better chance of an update.
yeah you could be digging 33 pull-tabs good luck
@@mike-jc4wm Don’t be so sore, the competition is good for all...
Why is it that if Minelab and notka can figure this out why is xp struggling to fix theirs?
Hope they are working on it.
Great video.
Thanks Jeff
Well now I just lost confidence in my deus 2.
I have been hoping for an update to improve this. We will see. Also the constant 85/86 falsing (even with a higher silencer) on nails is a pain.
@IffySignals yep. And apparently Brian from southern relics adventures talked to XP and it don't sound like anything will be coming from XP until next year. I'm bored lol!
I might just put it away once my Vortex comes and I'll use that for a while and see how it does.
@@MD-NWWI wow. Yea, he would know.
Thanks

Nice test . BUT I am not ready to trade in my d2 yet. .I'm shore XP is working on an update for the low vdi numbers.. until the update happy hunting.
Agree. Happy hunting.
Thanks Iffy, Deus owes us a refund.

Nokta has been Copying Minelab technology for years 😂😂😂
At a point now where they are all copying each other. Thats good for us end users.
