This full body seated band workout is suitable for seniors, anyone needing chair support as in recovering from injury or if you don't like getting up and down off the floor (knees, etc), adrenal fatigue suffers or a day where you have lower energy but still want to do an effective strength routine and is also suitable for pregnancy (if you have exercised during already). While I was ‘resistant’ to the word Seniors - this was a great resistance band workout. Having some crazy joint pain and so the seated workout was perfect while I’m in recovery. This was actually very effective - amazing what you can do with a band in a chair!

I actually worked way harder than I thought I would filming it too 💪💯 You can do alot seated and still work pretty much every muscle, right! Well done today for giving it a go. Great seated band full body workout. I was with you entire time (even for ones require balance; also, when upper and lower body moving). I figured keep today a little lighter and revisit band seated routine (2 months ago) after ~2 mile outdoor walk/gardening this Monday and since Tuesday catch an hour in yoga at gym. Instead of tying band, loop bands came in. Thanks Vanessa 😊❤️

Revisited this great seated full body band workout on this foggy morning (and seated because kidneys are still acting up). My balance was beyond phenomenal this morning. First, I used my heaviest band and instead of tying band, I used medium loop band. Also, I need to remember names of exercises, but any time both upper and lower body moving at same time… I was right along with you. Nice gentle stretch at beginning and end. Thanks Vanessa 😊❤️

This is a perfect work out for someone with balance issues. I am recovering from a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and I didn't realize just how much you could do from a seated position. Thank you for making this. This is something I will do often.

Twisted a muscle in back yesterday - not sure how - so skipped cardio routine and did this seated band workout - really good all over workout in a chair - did a few standing up for variety - this is a really good one to do on days where body is full of aches and pains!

Vanessa!! This workout has been a lifesaver for me during my recovery from foot surgery!! It feels SO good to work my whole body, not just the upper body (which I had thought would be all I could do). Doing it seated takes all the pressure off my feet, while allowing me to get a full body workout!! I'm LOVING this workout and it's my go-to during these weeks of recovery! 😁👍❤❤👍

I enjoyed and appreciate this workout. My both shoulders are very tight due to arthritis. My whole body feels very relaxed and much better movement. Many blessings to you and thank you.

Revisited this great seated band workout. I increased band strength to same one used in invigorate workout. I was right along with you, I tied band around legs, but switched over to medium strength loop band for arms. My balance was great this morning, my upper and lower body working at same time. Absolutely loved this work out. Yes…being seated gives you stability but this is still an excellent strengthening workout…for anybody! You still have to work hard and that’s good 😉

Thanks for a good workout! I have a kidney stent in and movement generally hurts now, but I miss my daily workouts. I had a really hard time finding a seated workout that was both challenging and didn’t move the core too much. I was able to do this one, and it helped me feel like I can do something while I still have this bothersome stent. Thanks!

Hey! A year later and back to this one again (after 2nd bunion.surgery!🦶). I did this one yesterday and it's PERFECT for getting a full body workout while not putting any weight on the feet!! I'm going to do this one at least 2-3.times a week during my 4 week recovery!!

Week 2 post-surgery and LOVING this workout!! This is a FULL, NOT EASY strength training workout!! I'm a regular resistance band user, and I felt it!!! Whew!! Thank you again Vanessa!! Every time I start one of your workouts, I think it's going to be easy (because of your soft pleasant voice and demeanor)--but by the end I'm feeling your inner drill-seargent!! 🤣🤣

Totally not only for seniors! I got a mild back injury almost 2 months ago. I've been doing resistance on a chair and barre/pilates. Today I danced a bit, I hope I'm ok tomorrow. Adding this one to the playlist. Thank you! 🍀👑
Hi there! 😂😂👌😉Depends on how fit and active the 'seniors' are! Some run rings around me, hehe. And yep certainly a workout regardless, but good seated if you are coming back from an injury. Well done on giving this one a go 💯🙋♀️💪 Hope your back is good again soon and do take it easy. You may want to reduce or eliminate the 'side bends' just to err on the side of caution for your back. 😉💯
And it really depends on your individual condition, I can only give general advice here as I have not seen your condition first hand, so do go with what your practitioner/physiotherapist says as this is not designed as such for back conditions ok 👌

Awesome Vanessa, thank you! You may or may not recall - had both hips replaced in 2021, last one 6 months past. Really needed this to supplement bike and elliptical. Those inner muscles are game changers as they are getting stronger. All the best from Texas!!

@@Vanessabhealthtv Not this one but have been doing the shoulder videos. I used a walker for a year pre-surgery & post (hospitals postponed elective surgeries here due to the "stuff" and so I waited. Who knew joint replacement was "elective'😱👎🏻 I've had amazing therapy & recovery work is paying off which is VERY motivating. The plan for 2022 is strengthening and weight loss! Vanessa, I did the workout with the resistance bands and it went well. I have to do something to get moving again and I think this routine will help me a lot. I cannot stand due to balance is bad due to peripheral neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. Question, since I am limited to seated only exercising would there be a better routine for me? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

After 8 day holiday hiatus - back into it with this seated routine. It’s amazing how much you can do even when seated - definitely worked up a sweat.

Revisited this great seated band workout. I increased band strength to same one used in invigorate workout. I was right along with you, I tied band around legs, but switched over to medium strength loop band for arms. My balance was great this morning, my upper and lower body working at same time. Absolutely loved this work out. Yes…being seated gives you stability but this is still an excellent strengthening workout…for anybody! You still have to work hard and that’s good 😉

Thanks for a good workout! I have a kidney stent in and movement generally hurts now, but I miss my daily workouts. I had a really hard time finding a seated workout that was both challenging and didn’t move the core too much. I was able to do this one, and it helped me feel like I can do something while I still have this bothersome stent. Thanks!

When I felt stronger, I did some of these exercises while squatting instead of sitting down. Felt great and worked up a sweat! Thank you Vanessa!

Hey! A year later and back to this one again (after 2nd bunion.surgery!🦶). I did this one yesterday and it's PERFECT for getting a full body workout while not putting any weight on the feet!! I'm going to do this one at least 2-3.times a week during my 4 week recovery!!

Week 2 post-surgery and LOVING this workout!! This is a FULL, NOT EASY strength training workout!! I'm a regular resistance band user, and I felt it!!! Whew!! Thank you again Vanessa!! Every time I start one of your workouts, I think it's going to be easy (because of your soft pleasant voice and demeanor)--but by the end I'm feeling your inner drill-seargent!! 🤣🤣

Totally not only for seniors! I got a mild back injury almost 2 months ago. I've been doing resistance on a chair and barre/pilates. Today I danced a bit, I hope I'm ok tomorrow. Adding this one to the playlist. Thank you! 🍀👑
Hi there! 😂😂👌😉Depends on how fit and active the 'seniors' are! Some run rings around me, hehe. And yep certainly a workout regardless, but good seated if you are coming back from an injury. Well done on giving this one a go 💯🙋♀️💪 Hope your back is good again soon and do take it easy. You may want to reduce or eliminate the 'side bends' just to err on the side of caution for your back. 😉💯

And it really depends on your individual condition, I can only give general advice here as I have not seen your condition first hand, so do go with what your practitioner/physiotherapist says as this is not designed as such for back conditions ok 👌

@@Vanessabhealthtv Not this one but have been doing the shoulder videos. I used a walker for a year pre-surgery & post (hospitals postponed elective surgeries here due to the "stuff" and so I waited. Who knew joint replacement was "elective'😱👎🏻 I've had amazing therapy & recovery work is paying off which is VERY motivating. The plan for 2022 is strengthening and weight loss! Vanessa, I did the workout with the resistance bands and it went well. I have to do something to get moving again and I think this routine will help me a lot. I cannot stand due to balance is bad due to peripheral neuropathy in my lower legs and feet. Question, since I am limited to seated only exercising would there be a better routine for me? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
