Welcome back to CO! We moved from SD to CO (been here for a year) and not looking back. Will you address why you guys moved back??
i've talked about it on my other social media so i probably won't make a full video about it. but it was a few things! most importantly we realized we didn't love living in a big city. we definitely took the slower pace of life for granted the first time we were here and we appreciate it so much more now! no regrets though; we needed to experience it to learn it wasn't a good fit.
a lot of our priorities changed too, and we realized the cost of living there wasn't worth it for us (personally). as we are trying to pursue music we thought there might be more opportunities for us in CA but we've realized that we can basically do that from anywhere in the country thanks to the internet. 😎
lastly, eric has a lot of family here and we have friends here we were missing! we will still for sure visit SD all the time once it's safe to do so since my family is there. we love the city so much but in small doses.

It’s hard to not feel like you are living by time in a big city in that you are constantly looking at the time to avoid traffic and housing is ridiculous. What you pay for the amount of space you get is insane. Excited for more uploads ❤️❤️❤️

Hey it's so good to have you back. I'm usually more of a lurker than a commenter but I really love your content and you have such a beautiful personality and aura. I suffer from bipolar disorder and how transparent you are across social media about your own struggles is really inspiring and comforting. I hope you are keeping well and looking after yourself. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that we are always here to support you in any way we can x
What you can do with the tofu, drain the liquid from it BEFORE you freeze and add a liquid with flavor. You can add a vegan chicken bouillon or a marinade of some kind and THEN freeze it and thaw and freeze again. It gives the tofu time to absorb the flavor. It makes is SOOOO much better.

Back to Colorado! Wow! I cannot lie, I missed your videos in the style you used to shoot them with your own kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, I knew you were in a shared space so I understood, but it was just a different vibe. So happy to see this new video.
I miss them so much too. Throws me back to when I first started the channel haha. Just filming on the floor at my coffee table because it was the only place I had good lighting. 😂 I'm glad I can do that again.

Hi Sarah, good to have you back on yt! Tip on anxiety (and caffeine), cut out all caffeinated beverages (that includes matcha, earl grey/all black teas, energy drinks and coffee...even chocolate contains caffeine). It really hits the adrenals hard and makes anxiety much much worse (also the dehydration from it exacerbates it). I always thought I was a bit anxiety prone ('got it from my mother' or so I thought). Once I finally ditched the coffee, completely (again, all caffeinated drinks) the anxiety just up and left, almost immediately! Most people drink coffee, a lot of people have anxiety, are dehydrated, etc etc, there is a connection. I still like teas/warm drinks (herbal teas, or rooibos tea with plant milk is delicious, or try chicory coffee or similar to get over the initial hump/cravings. I am so glad I stopped drinking it!

So good to see you! Totally agree about double cooking the potatoes. I wash up the whole bag and cook them whole in the Instant Pot. Cut into desired shape, seasoning du jour, and cook on the stone in the oven. I find the first cook as a whole potato in the pressure cooker renders a dryer potato and a very crispy final result. Hope you give this method a try.
In 3:40, honestly I had to pause this video and be like wow she looks so beautiful. You’re just glowing. I’m so happy to see you back. You are a beautiful and strong woman. Regarding parmesan, my son always asks for “the cheese that smells like barf” on his spaghetti. I get it! 😆
Your sourdough looks great! I actually started a sourdough business when the pandemic began, out of my home. I started with the traditional round loaves, & have since switched to making tin loaves. Making the bread in a traditional bread pan. I rub the tops of the loaves with oil to keep the crust from setting too quickly. And I also put a bread pan half full of hot water in the oven while I bake to create steam (for the first 20 minutes). I love that each slice is a consistent size & that the crust doesn’t cut the roof of my mouth. Haha. My newest creation in the kitchen is sourdough deep dish pizza & sourdough bagels! 😊
I love that you use the Clever Carrot recipes too, she’s my go to for easy sourdough. I veganized her “soft tear and share rolls” and they’re a weekly staple in my house. You have to try them! So happy you’re back to making videos!

I agree about the cold ferment vs quick pizza dough! I’ve done both following various random recipes and for sure prefer a normal room temp rise.

I just found this channel. We are vegan and I have never heard of thrive foods. The food you are preparing looks amazing!!!! I loved the tofu recipe. I haven't had much luck with preparing tofu. So thank you! One question I have is what type of air fryer do you have? Please let me know. I don't own one, but looking and can't decide which type to buy. The potatoes look amazing and tastey. YAY!!! I'm so glad you're back and in your own space again! Sometimes you have to try something new to decide what you really want. It's important that you tried life in SD but I'm glad it gave you both clarity to decide what you want in the long term.
