I found a chandelier very similar. I turned it upside down, added glass plates for wheels and made Cinderella's carriage out of it for the centerpiece of my granddaughter's birthday party.
Hi Karen 🦋 Loved 🥰 your video of Williamsgrove! My husband and I love going there 👍 Hope I run into you and Crazy Lamp Lady some day there 😊 Loved 🥰 the chandelier you got ❤️
Listen as a flea market dealer just trying to survive we have the right to charge what we want . Gas is $4 a gallon.there is rent.. packing ...early hours all types of weather and sourcing.theft is rampant.. thrift stores charge way more than I do...take all this into consideration.. also I worked at auctions for twenty years also bought from auctions . High buyers premium sales tax.. and debit card fees..
I collect Disneyland ephemera especially vintage. It can be quite collectible since it was stuff not typically kept in good condition like the postcards or maps/pamphlets. One of my prized items is letter correspondence (including post marked envelopes)between Disneyland and a rubber factory to make the ear shaped balloons.
❤ Been subscribed for a while I thought, but you haven't been in my lineup until I started watching Kayla. In case there's something helpful in that info, thought I'd say. I love your soft voice, the piano music, the info and you sharing your feelings about everything, wish you'd kept that candlestick, the soft greens, pinks, milky soft, I know that name... & the GOLD!
Karen, you are so knowledgeable and I love watching your videos and learning about reselling. I wonder if you would consider doing a video talking about your learning experiences along your reselling journey - highlighting times you maybe lost money on an item or bought something by mistake, paid more than you expected too, etc. and how you learned from the experience. I think that would be an interesting video!
Nice wire & wicker pieces on the 1st table. I wondered about nails & digging in boxes, sounds "iffy". There was just a decor article on Google today @ plates on walls. Why did you put that pretty butterfly box back? Have a great time, looks like a big assortment, thank you💠wow it got busy fast, that candle holder was pretty.💠
Fairy lamps even the Indiana ones are having a huge rise in popularity and are fetching way, way more than they used to they have become very very hot you might be surprised at what you will get on eBay if you put it on auction or even buy it now., Other resellers I watch are looking for them constantly because they are bringing them very high dollar amounts even the Homco clear, I’ve seen real nifty vintage and thrifter junker vintage hunter sell them for $45-$65 on their live sales, everybody wants them.
I had to LOL when you said you were going to look for small unbreakables... then the first 10 minutes were lots of dishes, etc. Thanks for taking us along!
I loved your voice over as it had calming music as an over lay. I am a blogger and it was perfect as I worked. I wish all youtubers would follow you lead there. I could watch you all day.
love your voice......it's so calming! I love the blue pitcher too! I'm always drawn to the blue and white. thanks for the Victoriaware info. Very helpful :)
Another fun video Karen! Wouldn’t it make sense for you to use one of those collapsible rolling carts for this type of shopping and filming? Instead of trying to juggle stuff in your already full hands?
I swear I’m going to need to take a road trip out to PA. I watch you and two other resell ladies that live there, and you all always find the coolest stuff..... especially older stuff. Wishing you good luck in your sourcing!! 😊❤️
That Pinecone Vase was actually the bottom to the McCoy Pottery Owl Cookie Jar, but it was missing its lid with the double Owl heads. Glad you passed on that!! 😅. Love your videos!!!🤩🥰
No you aren't wrong. Those items are mostly from auctions. Those vendors don't price their items till you ask them what they want for it. I have gone to Williams Grove and it is a nice large flea market. But I don't care to have to ask the vendors what they want for their items. I usually make my husband ask. Lol. Glad you were able to get out recently.
a COLLEGE QUILT what a great idea !! my two are already done with college.i saved a lot of their ball shirts and favorite shirts and i want to make a quilt with them.then i can quit storing all of it
The pitcher before the footbath, was it a blue calico pattern? It looked close enough, I collect it - for now to compliment my cobalt glassware. Not long ago a bowl was selling for $40. I'm always otlo Edited because I'm a typo corrector lol
I've heard you mention before that you can't use "shabby chic" in your ebay listings, but there are a ton of items listed (current and sold) with that phrase in the listing. I'm curious how ebay decides what to delete and what to let slide by. A few years ago I attempted to list a sterling silver and turquoise necklace, with an obvious "native american" style to it (I listed it as "native american style" because I couldn't identify the signature on the back) and ebay deleted my listing. Even though there were/are many identical type listings that don't identify the maker/tribe. Just seems they're selective and not consistent with what they delete and what they allow. Any insight that you've learned?
"Shabby chic" became a tm or the like, you can use one or the other and still grab the audience. Native American is highly protected so without proof you have to term it differently such as Southwestern, Aztec, Western, you get the gist.
And eBay cannot be explained. Learn from the groups. I have a RS Spanish set that I can't sell according to their rules. However, cleverness helps... you can't use their pictures because it shows their logo and you can't use their name because it's highly protected as well. So what if you just said what it is without actually saying what it is? The clever people would catch on and purchase quickly I believe. "Yellow and black encased Spanish learning Set, 5+ CDs in like new condition, highly (highest?) recommended set. $120 obo.
@@CC-ed7od I get what you're saying. It's just frustrating to see so many listings that seemingly get away with breaking all the rules, and others get taken down. Maybe the ones that go the distance just got lucky. And I totally respect the native American people and understand the reasoning behind it. It's just sometimes hard to find other wording that will describe an item properly. Thanks for your explanations.

I think you mean collectors' plates, which are not used for food. (Think of Franklin Mint, etc.). I do hang small, pretty plates on my dining room wall.
You probably wouldn't have seen this one in your museum trips. I think it's in the Rijksmuseum. It's Portrait of a Girl Dressed in Blue, by Johannes Cornelisz Verspronck. Say that three times real fast!
Speaking of ceramics and your history with ducks I picked up a beautiful set of mom and baby Mallard ducks. I know your ducks aren't typically ceramic but these were done so well and just beautifully painted I thought I'd take a chance. I believe I paid $6. Fingers crossed!🤞
You should get with the other bidders to see if they would make you an offer of the items your wanting to buy that are inside the box lots they win, you would be surprised to find out that they may like to sell to you, or combine the items you want to purchase and it would be a win win, they make money and you get what you want to purchase. Can build a relationship with these bidders and visa versa you can sell to them the items they would like to purchase from you, or work together as a team js! I always think outside the box :))
People on Ebay are asking way too low for their Fenton glass. This is what hurts the resellers as well as bringing the price of these beautiful items down too low.
I found a chandelier very similar. I turned it upside down, added glass plates for wheels and made Cinderella's carriage out of it for the centerpiece of my granddaughter's birthday party.

For those of you that sell on Facebook Marketplace do you always meet the buyer at a different location so as they do not come to your house?
I meet buyers in a very busy public parking lot.
I was thinking, maybe you can use a backpack and the GoPro on a harness, it will be easier for you that way your hands and shoulder are free!
Thank you for the morning fun.
