I think the green and gold vase is much more special because of the shape ! It looks cool without any flowers in it but maybe that's just my taste. The brushed gold and green are everything❤
I’m so curious if anyone has looked up this vase. I think it could potentially have been valuable. And I thought it was gorgeous. Maybe it’s a regional thing (as in, it depends on what part of the country you’re in), it I would have seriously considered buying it, even though I have been consciously trying to go in the opposite direction (getting things out of my house!! 😂) That vase looks similar to a couple of pieces I took from my parents’ house when we cleaned it out last year-wedding gifts they received in 1962-not same, but they would look great together.
@@lisafowler6278Value is about $40. I think if sold in California, Oregon, Washington where I live it could fetch $60. Def MCM is regional. Great piece.
Laughed so hard when you said your mother was a terrible cook. My mom was a terrible cook also. I always say I learned to cook well as a defense against her awful cooking. Lol😂

That Haeger vase , I just loved the top of it . I choose vases with unusual tops . Unless it’s southwestern native , Tonala, Talavera or Raku pottery . I might be a bit weird that way . lol 😆
Delft is a town in the Netherlands and it is the birthplace of the world-famous Delft Blue ceramics, dating back to the 17th century. Vintage pieces sell for thousands of dollars.
I had to laugh when you showed us the new patio, in the uk a patio is a large area to sit on with garden furniture. To us in the uk your new patio would be a new wide pathway.
How in the world did that blown glass tree survive in Goodwill?!! What a find. Horses with polka dots on their bums are appaloosas. (That's fun to say.) ❤
Karen your goodwills are so good I often wonder if other ones ship to yours? The Christmas stuff was awesome!!! 🎄 Roger gets to work in a toy shop until his toys sell! He’s like Santa! 🎅🏻🏈 🧸 🎠 🛼 🎭
Breyer Horse: couldn’t see the spotted one in the bag, but in general palomino horses are golden, like Roy Roger’s Trigger and horses with spotted rumps are likely to be Appaloosas or “Painted”. We Sold a large “Medicine Hat” Breyer a few weeks ago. Those have and interesting pattern too. I pick up Breyer when the price is right, too.
I’m so envious of your stores , I’m in central Indiana and our Hardgoods are seriously lacking it’s a very tiny section of each store , I love watching your videos so much just great stuff to look at
“ not doing cute today” following a cute item just put into the cart and immediately after saying it……you get more cute because cute sells??!! Oh my gosh….hilarious 3:01
I cracked up laughing when you said, "My mom was the best, but I have to say she was the worst cook, I think I've ever known in my life." But you survived.
Great pick on the Dept 56 Mickey. I remember you had a pair of blow molds for perhaps 4th of July? This year you can buy some larger and heavier items for your booth. Christmas is on its way for Lavender Clothesline.
When you said..why don't they ship some of this stuff I am one of the ones who's goodwill has nothing it's so bad I wish I could record a little video to show you how bad it is where I live (Florence Ky) ❣️ You are so very lucky to have so many different places to thrift❣️💞
The Goodwill stores in southeast Michigan are just as bad. Limited amount of items that are ridiculous prices for a thrift store. Salvation Army stores are much better!
Cement Work. I think the word you were looking for was parging, rather then purged. Parging is the application of a cement coating (or similar synthetic product) applied over a wall surface, foundation or existing cement work. Often used as a coating to give old work a new look. 😉
The instrument is a cello. You would think it’s a larger version of a violin but no. It’s in a totally different clef, a much lower sound… if my memory serves me right.
I'm in the UK and I often think when I see videos about buying stuff from Goodwill and other similar outlets that if you wanted to you could buy everything that you could ever need in a Goodwill...why would you ever buy anything new???
love a dolman sleeve; one of my favorites to sew but yayyyyyy a haul video. my favorite Karen and yes,,,,,it has been a minute. glad I am catching this. great video
Hi, another fantastic thrifting extravaganza. How CUTE Karen . 🤓😌 I’m always excited to watch you and Roger. I recently had surgery. Alls well however I’ve had to put all my stores on vacation hold . So I’ll be recuperating until sometime in Dec, but taking care of self is number one priority. Just popping in to say thanks guys. You’re the BEST🤗🤗🤗🤗
An instrument store would be able to tell you more about the cello. My daughter was a cellist and played in the state orchestra in San Antonio. She is very talented. We bought her a cello when she was in 9th grade. We bought a new French oboe for other daughter.
That instrument was a chello I do believe! Just and FYI...my mom was the worst cook growing up as well. Everything was watered down or super well done. 😂 but she was a single mother of 4 girls so I can affectionately recall all those terrible meals. ❤
You should have put a ramp in by your garage and bought one of those big rolling carts. It would have been so easy for you two to roll all of your great finds right up that ramp and into your house. 😊
Lifting items in and out of the cart is more work than just carrying them into the house lol I use IKEA bags and don’t mind the exercise! It keeps me strong as I get older
Karen, you are too funny and correct. Many You Tubers repeat the same phrases, perhaps because you all are juggling at least three things at a time. Works for me, keep it up!❤
Love all the things you picked up! I think the candle thing with shade is for just putting a scented jar candle in and plugging in so that the candle warms up inside that pottery vase and you get the scent of the candle, but not a light or flame.
don''t sleep on the ALDI stuff it is worth a comp - there is a thriving fan base and many of the items are limited production so those that miss out in=store will look secondary market 🙂
Karen, you can pick up a frother for $3.99 plus tax at Ross and add it to the mugs. I would try to buy the mugs for less since the frother is missing. You are fortunate that PA Goodwill's still have colored stickers. Everything in my local Goodwill is regular price Mon.- Sat. Sunday's they sell a certain color for $3. Tues. it's seniors 15% off their entire purchase.
oh yeah I sold my Disney theme parks Jack Nightmare Before Christmas musical snow globe for 90 dollars on poshmark and I had to pay extra for the shipping because it was so heavy ... I forget I think I had to pay an additional 20 dollars for shipping and I used so much packing materials pretty sure I lost money on that sale and I stressed about it breaking until the buyer gave me my rating
Our Goodwill in Conroe TX, sucks. I wish we has one like yours. And I donate to Goodwill about 5-6 times a year, I like that they help people to have jobs they otherwise would not have.
My Mom Was a terrible cook. lol. We said we knew dinner was ready when smoke poured out of the kitchen. I started picking up board games since my goodwill is only $3. Great ROI. Don’t think I’d have done the vase either. Have a great day. Postal holidays are good but bigger bundles to the PO. I list a lot of Christmas stuff all year but did notice a big uptick in sales for those items this weekend. I bought a huge lot of stuff at Murdoch's back in April. Most was kids Christmas stuff. Flying off the shelves now. I have seen a few places here in Wyoming that decorate with old musical instruments. My Goodwill is so small they ship out semi trailers full of stuff quite often. They just don't have room for everything.
Your house is so "cute" and looks almost perfect. You and Roger take such good care of it! Great finds. Just wondering if you bought the bass instrument.
“My” privately owned thrift store sold me a Garnet Hill flannel sheet, marked as king. I did not open it, came home and right away there was the tag “double”. I have it now listed on eBay, but I wanted it for me!!! It is so soft, and we live at 6000 feet above sea level, winters are cold, my husband was so looking forward to it!😢 Changing the subject, there is one Essex candle holder exactly like that one listed on Poshmark.
Yes but this video was posted Sunday, so was probably filmed last week, maybe on Election Day, because a lot of schools were closed as they used them as polling stations.
So funny..."First we're gonna start with "Mary Blow-mold." it just made me chuckle because it sounded like somebody named Mary who's last name is "Blowmold." 😂
Karen, I was surprised to see my sleigh and reindeer on the video. I purchased it at an estate sale near my house for $12.00 about 10 years ago. I knew I’d never see another one. I fill the sleigh with different items every year and put him on my coffee table. He’s not shiny brass but exactly like that one. He’s a keeper for life.

I agree that vase was special
How much for the horses I love horses ❤
The shape of the Haeger would be the selling point. Totally MCM.
That green warped vazd with hints of gold made me hold my breath! It makes a statment all its own.
I agree with the previous comments about the green vase. The shape is what makes it special!
I LOVE learning about the background of the different brands - you are an EDUCATOR for new thrifters like me!
Laughed so hard when you said your mother was a terrible cook. My mom was a terrible cook also. I always say I learned to cook well as a defense against her awful cooking. Lol😂
I loved that vase . It would sell super easily
I was hoping you were going to buy the Royal Hagar green/gold vase! I would have bought it in a heartbeat from you....just sayin'....it was beautiful!
16:32 WOW!!! that reindeer and sleigh❤
People would love the green vase. That is what they are buying now. I think but what do know. Lol
I love the episodes with Roger in it. He makes the whole show!!!
I got excited when I realized it was Lavender clothesline day!❤

That porch job is a BIG improvement. Looks really well done. Thanks for the fun video.
Id love to buy those green vases!
I think the jar with shade is for a jar candle. Maybe there is no window to keep the scent a secret or hide the soot marks! 😎
That’s what I was thinking.
Loved the green & gold Haeger
The cat plates are adorable also the little glass tree....watching from Northern Ireland xx
Karen your goodwills are so good I often wonder if other ones ship to yours?

Aesthetic is one of your favorite words, you use it incessantly......love the Christmas sweaters!!
I’m sure I don’t use it as much as “cute” 😂💜

Karen, this Californian loves the way you say, “Yesterday” - Too cute! 🥰
Winnie the Pooh is adorable, glad you let us see if he was working or not. 😊 Who knew Christmas cat plates were so “ cute”. 🎄
Fun video, Karen! It's always so satisfying when we get projects completed on our homes whether for personal, work or both functions.

The green vase has a sold comp for 325.00.
Which one? The Haeger??
I don’t see that price
I am glad Pooh worked!

I totally agree. There is so much choice!
I do buy all of my clothes, shoes, towels, pillows, shampoo, dishes, et. I never shop retail people consider me well dressed!
They’re not all like that. The ones in my area are trash.
I want to visit PA just to go to Karen’s GW! 😊
I'm afraid that texas goodwill are not the same items or cost
Yes! I am UK too (actually, Isle of Man so pop. 85,000) . It just doesn’t compare!
An upright bass🤩 I have always wanted one! Great video as always.😗💯
I'm pretty sure that was a cello. A bass fiddle is way bigger and would not fit in a shopping cart.
I personally liked the shape of green vase but you know your customers. And you can't pick up everything!
The cardinal mug is nice. The cardinal is the North Carolina state bird.
what fun items to enhance your holiday booth and sales in general,,,
My Goodwill in Brownsville Texas is lacking good items, plus their prices are ridiculously high. Almost the end of November and no Christmas items.
love a dolman sleeve; one of my favorites to sew but yayyyyyy a haul video. my favorite Karen and yes,,,,,it has been a minute. glad I am catching this. great video
We love your dining room hauls. Thanks

I am thinking same thing.

Thank you for sharing!
I think the Essex candle lamp, hold jar candles👍🏻

Geez, my gw isn't this big or have so many great things!!!
I looked up the Essex porcelain item; it’s a candle lamp. I’m still not sure about it, but the one listed was $28 and change.
No cello? Great items! Those Ugg boots. Amazing for $15!
The Haegar might be "Tweed" and if so, has real gold on it, I believe. I have a hangar cream and gold peacock bowl and it has real gold. B
Roger's pooh bear is so adorable. 😊
Thanks!!
That odd shaped green vase was beautiful! Both green vases were worth grabbing, IMO. You should have done a Google image search.
The chaotic stores on Monday was a school and government holiday, Veterans Day. Thank you to all the veterans 🙏
