Hi Karen! I live a couple of towns away from the 2Ave thrift store in Lansdale. I saw your video yesterday where you picked up the blue and brown pottery piece and then decided not to take it. I went to today and lo and behold, there it was! I love it and now have some utensils in it. Thanks for leaving it for me!
I retired from full time work at 63 & thought I’d hate it but since reselling part time I’m really enjoying the mix of that & doing art & travelling! Life after full time work can be fun!
I don't know about working so hard and not being able to enjoy your time enough to have a coffee and making it last for two days🥺 keep the coffee maker and make yourself some nice recipes 😊
coffee has a lot of pesticides in it from research I have done . I gave up coffee so now I sleep better unless I am stressed about something or "feel" something bad is about to happen then yeah I do not sleep
My son has the same espresso machine & absolutely loves it. I really hope you keep it, it will pay for itself within the first year, if not sooner. I know part of the fun is treating yourself at a coffee shop, but why not treat yourself at home, too? You work hard & deserve it! ❤edit- love the dog bank!
So many people think hard goods are so much harder than cloths! Nothing is easy… the cloths are easier to ship… harder to photograph due to measurements etc but everything has its issues! Sell what you enjoy is my motto!
Sometimes the personal splurge that makes our soul happy is something that nobody else understands. That's okay if you know in your heart it's not a waste for you and lifts you up. I splurged on a $200 Keurig coffee pod machine that has the extra milk frother/heater on the side, I don't use it everyday, but in the cold winter months that little milk heater/spinning frother just makes me happy like an extra hug.
Happy New Year, Karen and Roger! I echo others' thoughts regarding the espresso machine. We love our. Our son and his family has one as well. It paid for itself in just a few months. Hugs
Thank you so much for sharing how far you drive to get things to resell. Love your new bedroom. The rust pillow helps bring the colors of the paintings and the vase all together you have excellent taste.
@@VivianElliott-zv6xq yes!!! You earn the pleasure of enjoying that beautiful machine!... if you take it back, you will think about it every time you go to Starbucks!🤔
One of the things I like about you Karen is the fact you take time to clean an item, before you sell. I would bet that does take some time which is why you try to keep to a minimum. Im sure there are some resellers who don't take the time as you do, and that is why I feel you do well along with your eye for good merchandise. Also your vids are fab as well. You deserve that cappuccino machine. I hope you end up keeping it for yourself. It is all about the small pleasures in life. Enjoy! PS your spare bedroom looks fabulous.🙂
I love the pottery you pick up. I stopped by your booth on my way back from the holidays...CT to SC. Bought your gnome candy jar and I'm not even a gnome person!!
Karen, I can't thank you enough for your wonderful, fun, informative videos! I've learned so much from you and of course I'm sure you've forgotten more than I'll ever learn. I really do live vicariously through you ❤
Keep the coffee pot we all deserve a treat to ourselves , we work hard and should reward ourselves once a year won’t break the bank! I’m looking for one if you keep it plz review 😊😊😊

That would be a great idea if you weren’t already planning on selling POTTERY,ART WORK, MANAGING A BOOTH, those are just a few of the things I can recall you saying😂At this rate your going to be working harder and be busier than you are now. Hahaha
Thanks for sharing your thrifting trip. When Goodwill gets all their merchandise FREE they ought to put it for sale at a decent price. Happy New Year!!
I actually made one of those rock rugs - more doormat size and with all black rocks. It's like a puzzle trying to find what fits with what and it did take me 2 days - probably like 8 -10 hours total. Well worth it mine is just outside my shower as a bath mat

Your cake plate and dome do match. They can be found at hobby lobby in a variety of sizes. The pricing was good considering what the retail pricing is.
Savers is called Value Village on the West Coast. They are overpriced so you probably won’t like them. The only good thing about them is that you can sometimes find better things. Happy New Year
That Expresso machine will pay for itself in 2 years and you should enjoy something for all your work. Breville is a good brand. Always enjoy your videos and organization.
How sad you did not pick up the kitten latch hook kit! There are many of us out there who love feline-themed craft items, and I for one, would have bought that delightful kit.
I understand purchasing an item and keeping it for a few day to see how it “feels.” When I go to a store like Walmart, I get so excited about a lot of things, put them in my cart, walk around with them. Then when it’s time to check-out, I start putting things back that I don’t really need or want with the feeling that I had already owned them for a while.

I honestly treasure my down-time with my freshly ground cappuccino every day!! I am such a coffee snob, after owning my own coffee shop for a few years…. the coffee machine wasn’t cheap, but I figure over 7 years and hundreds of coffees, it has paid for itself many times over😄☕️🫶🏼

Karen, I love your new guest room. The art is fresh and uplifting. The three-legged table needs a round tablecloth over it in a rust or moss green, color. The bed, art, and table would look balanced, warm, and pulled together if it was covered. It's off balance the way it is now because the table is unfinished and not in line with the other pretty textures and prints. You have a beautiful home and you can almost see the love inside. The table isn’t unfinished, it is supposed to have light wood legs & a white top. I personally am not a fan of table coverings (they remind me of my grandma’s house, lol), but I can certainly understand your vision😊 I agree that the art is fresh and uplifting!
Hi! The bedroom turned out so cute. I love the coffee bar and I think you should keep the espresso machine since you love espresso so much😊 Anymore once it is used It will end up in the dumpster 😫. They wont be able to put it back on the shelf. Stay warm and safe! I’m SW Pa and we are getting up to 12” of snow tonight🌨️❄️☃️and freezing temps 🥶
The art is likely Canadian as the Chateau Frontenac is an iconic hotel in Quebec City and the Bluenose is a famous Nova Scotia racing schooner and it is depicted on the Canadian dime.
Try the Lavazza machine. It makes espresso, you can froth milk for a cappucino or make a regular coffee. Weve had every brand imaginable and love this one the best.
I love my old school Nespresso machine! The 1st time I saw the model I bought, I was at a conference at a high end hotel and they had it out for the guests to use. The espresso was divine! I called the hotel back once I was at home and they provided me with the model. At the time, they were going for over $1200, but I found one online for $800 new with a discount of $300 - so I paid $500! It still works like new and makes the best espressos. The pods are a bit pricey, but worth it IMO. I really like those metal bookends and bird! Bummer about the pricing of the Savers items.
My son has that same espresso maker that he bought second hand on FB Marketplace. He has been using it for over three years and it still works great. He taught me how to use it but I like traditional drip coffee.
Karen , I live in Illinois as the other day I went to shop at a local goodwill . Only to find out they are doing with away with all the discounts !! The color tags, senior discount etc. I will have to find a new thrift store. 😅
@gloriabaker4626 Honestly, I think that just stinks! I don’t understand their rationale - they're already getting all of their inventory FOR FREE, and now they're gonna take away all our incentives for shopping there?!? Too bad all of us (everyone who might shop at Goodwill) can't blackball them and never shop there again... They seem to resent their customers and go out of their way to punish us. I just don't get it.

The burgundy vase at Savers is very pretty.
Wondering if you can use vacuum bags to reduce bulk in large bedding for shipping not storage? 🛏️
My son has that same espresso maker that he bought second hand on FB Marketplace. He has been using it for over three years and it still works great. He taught me how to use it but I like traditional drip coffee.
i love the Alaska mug, and it looks so sturdy. Did u keep the espresso machine? Im dying to know hehe
Savers is SUPER expensive here in Mass, but you can do very well in clothing depending on area. But hard goods are ridiculous.
Karen , I live in Illinois as the other day I went to shop at a local goodwill . Only to find out they are doing with away with all the discounts !! The color tags, senior discount etc. I will have to find a new thrift store. 😅
@gloriabaker4626
Honestly, I think that just stinks!
@ I couldn’t agree more , I will not be shopping at goodwill!
39:08 We have several Savers in Salt Lake City Utah but they are way way too expensive.
45:23 And one of the two is clear glass 😂😂
@ 4:19 these paintings are Old Town, Quebec City. The fortress is La Citidelle. Beautiful artwork of one of the oldest cities in Canada! 🇨🇦
