Full booth all the way!!! I have had booths for over 25 years and for the first year I set things up more sparingly and did so so. When I changed my ways and set things up like you are doing now, very full with a good walk way my sales really increased . I learned the fine line between having a very full space that draws people in for the hunt without being a cluttered mess. I hope you don’t mind me if I share a few more things I learned along the way. I learned that the walls are the most valuable real estate in my booths, if you can create a few vignettes that tell a story it will draw people in . For example your “grocery “ sign is a good piece . I would suggest moving it and hang your little shelf with hooks under it then add your baskets to the hooks. You might need to tie some twine to your basket handles to be able to hang them but it will invoke a nostalgic feeling of shopping. You could also add little things on the shelf as well. My last suggestion is probably the one that has made the biggest difference for me and relates to moving not just adding shelf to grocery sign. Rearrange items in your booth once a month if you can. Not everything. If you have things that aren’t selling move them around. Even if sales are good ,refreshing by rearranging ,not just adding new inventory, on a regular basis makes a HUGE difference. For example, move that amazing green hamper and hang a vtg bath towel or nightgown coming out of it , you can still put things on top too. Maybe a vanity tray with soap dish and or other accessories or a basket with towels or other chotchkas . If people see items, even great items, in same spot they assume things are not selling or that there is nothing new to see and will walk by. I know you didn’t ask for all this🙄but I love what I do and was able to help 3 daughters graduate college and pay for 2 weddings,so far😂, as well as enjoy some amazing trips with my hubby thanks to my little booths😁
Hi again, I already left a way too long and wordy comment re booth but was watching vid again with my daughter and… yep , more words🙄🤣 Already said I have decades of booth experience , and I am sincere and maybe even qualified to say you have one of the highest quality booths I have ever seen. Every piece is curated . The quality, condition and cleanliness of every single item is amazing and so is your pricing. 👍🏻😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
MOMA in NYC has the famous Wyeth, Christina’s World. I was looking for a water fountain and literally walked around a corner and there I was face to face with the masterpiece. Took my breath away.
Hi Karen. I have been rewatching your videos for a while now. First it was the election craziness, I couldn’t take it anymore. And now Ive being sick in bed for over a week. Your videos are so calming, interesting and I just love watching them. You are really helping me feel better and I can’t thank you enough. Isn’t it crazy how UA-cam has worked out for you? I have been watching since almost the very beginning. You have grown your video skills and I love how your channel has evolved. I think you are the best reselling creator. ❤
Love your channel and Roger is cute as a button! Your booth has the right amount of inventory but maybe bring the rabbit to the front to help generate traffic. Down the Rabbit Hole could use him as a cute mascot. Put a Santa hat on him for the holidays. You could put something fun and different on him each holiday. I love that rabbit! Love your channel!
I ❤ my Sunday mornings with Karen & Roger. Thank you for all you do to give us awesome & consistent videos. I get so excited when I see an hour long video posted by you! 🥰 xo
Hi Karen, I've been watching you for a while, but never comment. The painting you were contemplating had an address for a home in Canton, Ohio. Years ago, I was a teacher at a school just down the road from "Uncle Walt's" home. Made me smile seeing that. Thank you for your content and all of the many things I have learned from you. Truly enjoy your channel and your lovely personality.
I love watching your videos. You give so much info. You are so sweet. I have a very stressful job and little time to enjoy thrifting and shopping at antique malls. I love shopping with you
I have a few suggestions for booth sellers. As an older woman who walks with a cane, I appreciate booths that have a nice walking area, free of obstructions. I'm not going in a space that has things I have to step over or even overlapping rugs that are a trip hazard. I also find that many plus size people avoid overcrowded booths. You have to leave room for any customer to feel welcome, to have a bit of room to back up and appreciate a piece from a little distance, to not have to worry about breaking things just walking past a table. I also have severe claustrophobia and overstuffed booths just cause me anxiety. I realize booth space costs $$ and you need to take advantage of space given but if you alienate half the customers then it's not worth it.
The toothpick holder can be used to store matches (tape a striker underneath). It would look lovely on a coffee table and easy to reach for lighting candles.
Hi Karen, the booth looks great. I had a similar suede vest and chaps for my boys, back in the 80s, lol. Adorable 🥰 That camera was truly the find of the day. Isn’t it funny how they price things? I’m sure they look things up sometimes, but not a lot of rhyme or reason if you ask me. Have a lovely Sunday evening.
Hi Karen, Your booth looks great, I would keep it full! Thanks for taking us along for your thrifting adventures. I love all the treasures you find. Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving. Sincerely, Julie in NY
I use every inch of my booth from bottom going up. I notice you have lots of artwork and your booth looks great. Suggestion: Maybe bring in a tall shelf or add some shelving in the upper walls of your booth for more hard goods to fit and remove some of the artwork to make that space.
So much fun to watch. Great finds, the Camara is a good one, but I love the hard goods, the owl, the rabbit, all that staff we don't need but love to collect. Thank you, Karen!
Love the booth I recommend book cases with ridges on the back to lean dishes and pictures, yes to keeping a clear walkway. I recommend having personalized tags because people love you and want to show they bought your item. I previously bought from your eBay store just to get the card. I’m collecting from all my u tube favorites
Hi Karen. I absolutely loved the coloured tinsel trees. I would buy all of them and have a gorgeous Christmas forest. Add some little creatures like deer. Beautiful. Val.🐨 💟
Omg I was so hoping you would take those 2 bookends !! They are gorgeous! And you know, no one is going to place them next to each other. There are mostly a row of books between them. And sometimes you can use a little bit of oil on it, to make it look darker. I hope this is correct englisch, I'm from the Netherlands 😅 Love you're video's ❤
2nd comment- every time I watch I am amazed at the inventory your Goodwill stores have. Pennsylvania really is the thrifting capital of the world!!🌎 lol
I cannot believe you still have the 4 pc. cannister set! I have all the other pieces to that group from the 70's! Sure wish I lived in PA. They would be mine! What a great market you have there!
The Goodwills in Miami are so empty and the prices are double your Goodwill prices are, I stop visiting them. I am mesmerized by the amount of stuff the Goodwills in your area have. Love to watch your videos to see the great items you find
I love your booth. Keep the rabbit as he is your store name mascot. He needs to be a focal point straight down the middle. I am not a designer though. Just a thought. Keep on thrifting😊
I would take advantage of all the wall space in your booth & hang up those little wooden shelves & display small items on them. Always fill large empty wall space, it’s included in your rent and eye level space is premium! 👍🏼👏🏼
That is a shaded candle crock. Ex. Large Yankee candle is inserted into the crock and the shade is placed over the lit jar. It still throws the scent, allows the candle to be lit without an exposed flame and gives a soft glow.
Glass blowing BLOWS my mind. Like, how do they do that?? With such perfection and symmetry... I wonder how long one has to practice to be really skilled at that.
Probably a very long time! I can’t even imagine doing blown glass would be scared of that molten glass. Yikes. Some items are so gorgeous though so I’m glad someone will create it. ❤
The beautiful candleholder at 45:56 is vintage Holmegaard Trigona made in Denmark worth about $30 each. I was yelling at you to get them but you couldn't hear me😮
The Wyeth’s are a 3 generation family of artists. I was trying to send you a picture of a book I have with a ton of their gorgeous artwork but unfortunately I cannot attach it.
Hi Karen, I know dolls aren't your thing but that little wood doll wardrobe was made by Vogue Doll Co. The doll's were Jill and Jan and you would put their clothes and accessories inside.
I like your booth the way it is Karen. It’s not too full at all. I would only add some linens on the tables. Nice Battenberg lace and some quilts on a quilt hanger? I love linens included for the look of a room in a home, to add a warm and comfy feeling. ♥️
I thought about it! If I put smalls on the shelves, I thought maybe the chances of breakage increased because buyers would then have to handle taking everything off of the shelves and finding places for those items and lifting the shelves off the walls? 🤷♀️💜
Hello Karen, thank you for your lovely and info-taining thrifting videos. :-) I love your booth the way it is. I think the place is inviting and charming as it offers a bit of a discovery adventure to the buyer.
The flash painted glass blue and green cannisters are from Pier One. I have a set in red and yellow, but sadly the flash has come off of them in a lot of places.
Karen, being on the third floor in the winter definitely has its benefits! Just a two-story home or a three-story home is much warmer on the top floor no matter how many thermostats and HVAC units you may have! Heat rises to the top❤ I hope you do a booming business this Christmas
Karen, My husband and I often visit the Hummelstown antique mall where your booth is. Your booth is displayed and styled well, with a nice selection of goods. It drives me absolutely crazy to see a booth that is so cluttered that you can’t even walk into. Booths like that remind me a junky yard sales. I keep on walking to the next booth. Your GW haul was amazing today. Good job. You have a good eye.
Your booth look nice but I would suggest hanging your shelves that are for sell on the wall so people can see them. Good luck. It certainly is a lot of work
Pack it! I have a long wall with shelves and below bookcases and I keep it full, it makes people look. I thought those cups were Temptations too! S & P price separately..REALLY Goodwill!.. I don't shop Goodwill for other reasons. Great items !
I would keep it as you have it. You could always add a little more on the shelves, walls, but it looks great; lots of room to look around and plenty of inventory to draw people in.
About your booth, I would suggest not hanging anything from the ceiling that isn't for sale. That includes decorations. I would also suggest using all of the wallspace by adding more shelves, hooks, etc. The goal would be to create more related vignettes and get more items off the floor and up at eye level.
I’m so happy you took both bookends 😉. I was thinking someone would want a pair. And if they are at opposite ends of a book shelf, it won’t be that obvious they are off colored.
Hi karen, enjoyed your video. The large rabbit and owl should look great in your booth with the rabbit hole theme. I love the child's swede cowboy outfit. So cute. Lastly. I hope the camera works and you make out $$ on it.😅 ❤❤❤

Interesting!
You hit the nail on the head 🤠 Grouping like things is a real key. Love your idea for the hamper ❤
Most invaluable info I've heard on keeping & selling from an antique booth. 👏👏👏 your experience comes through loud & clear. Thanks!
Great tips. I hope she read them. She doesn’t seem the type of person who likes to listen to others when it comes to selling.
Wyeth is very famous not just in America! A wonderful artist!

Some very clever ideas and suggestions on how to draw in customers using your rabbit mascot(s) to get your shoppers' attention!

Linda!! Thank you for being such a wonderful subscriber, I appreciate you! 💜💜💜
@ what a sweet thing to say. Thank you! 🥰
Keep the booth packed I agree with you! Also, if the baskets have handles, I think they would look nice hanging from the white rafters.
The two Andrew’s, Warhol and Wyeth, are Pennsylvania’s premo painters.
Please Google the artist and I believe you will recognize many of his famous paintings!
I like your booth and I don't feel it is too full. Great finds today. I wish my GW was as full. Thank you for another wonderful video!
6:27 I absolutely loved your story about Jill & Jan! 😅 I laughed a little too hard. You are a stitch!! 😂
😂💜
I think that your booth has just the right amount of items. It doesn't look crowded or overwhelming to look through.

Karen, What a wonderful, funny and relaxing video❤ as you can see by my many comments I needed this today❤❤❤
It would be lovely to have a brighter carpet to lighten it up its pretty dark in there but you have nice things. ❤
The Farnsworth in Rockland, Maine has a very large collection of Wyeth. He is world renowned.

I'm so happy you are taking both marble & brass bookends! They are beautiful and I have no doubt they will sell as a pair!
Hi Karen…I actually jumped when those yellow salt and pepper shakers fell out of their basket! Thank heavens for tape😄. Great video today as usual. 🇨🇦
You are so talented indeed, there’s no question about it
The toothpick holder can be used to store matches (tape a striker underneath). It would look lovely on a coffee table and easy to reach for lighting candles.
It would also work to hold swizzle stick on a bar😅
@@Cynthia-ys7qq 😂 for sure
The booth looks good, not too much stuff, easier to look at everything then. Also, good point it has an aisle that people can easily walk through.

Nice to have met you on Friday. One of my friends and I picked up the rabbit you took and laughed at how scary it was.
It was nice meeting you Loretta! 💜
I like the way you enjoy the individual items. True pleasure.
Thank you for putting out such informative and entertaining videos. I really enjoy the chat! Laurie
Oh, so glad you picked up the Wyeth. Not sure of it's value but he is a famed Pennsylvanian.....

@44:00 - that's not a wax melt, you set the candle jar in the base and the top sits on the rim of the lit candle. They are very pretty lit up!

Keep the booth packed if it is working for you-I did when I had a booth-buyers like to dig 😊
The ceramic rabbit is amazing
