FIGHT STARTS AT 2:48 (the video should've started there, but now its too late for regrets) For anyone interested on the soundtracks and/or the GoW 3 Kratos model: The Kratos model is a mod made by Omega Fantasy. To get it, you must subscribe to his Patreon. He has made more interesting mods for GoW 2018 and has a UA-cam channel where you can see them. WARNING: this mod ONLY works with the starting armor, if you use other armors you break the mod. I think this principle applies to his other mods too. "Isle of Creation" from God of War 2 at 2:58, 7:44 and 11:39. At the start of the fight, I use a part of this soundtrack commonly known as "Perseus fight theme". Fun fact is that I became aware that the Perseus fight theme was part of the Isle of Creation very recently before making the video, and that the same theme is used at the final fight too. On the other hand, at the end, I used the beginning of this soundtrack too because, well, it synced very nice with breaking Baldur's neck, and because it makes me feel like Kratos realizes that his past keeps haunting him wherever he goes, and that this fight will bring consequences for sure. What I mean is that with this theme I feel like he's thinking "I did it again, and I promised to keep that life away from Atreus". I recommend everyone who played GoW 2 to listen to the Isle of Creation soundtrack because is a masterpiece. Its like hearing a story told by instruments, a story about what Kratos, the "destined to fall" God of War, had to do and face in the Isle of Creation to avoid that fate. "The End Begins" from God of War 2 at 5:35. I wanted to use a "rage" theme here. Why not "Rage of Sparta" from GoW 3? Because that soundtrack, at least for me, makes me think of hearing the footsteps of a ferocious and terrifying rage coming towards you from afar. But with "The End Beggins" I feel like I cant hear those footsteps anymore because that rage is now punching my face mercilessly. Even though there isnt much dialogue between Kratos and Baldur in this part, my idea was to make Baldur difficult to hear, because thats how rage works, you dont care about what your enemy is saying. But I thought that if I lowered the volume of Baldur whenever he spoke or started the song at a high volume, that would make the experience worse, so thats why I didnt do it. I like this fight with the original soundtrack, but I think some parts are too dramatic or that dont fit nice in the fight. But thats my personal opinion. Why Kratos doesnt have his Blades of Exile instead of the Blade of Olympus? Well, I have 4 reasons. First: the fight would be easier. Second: the blades have too much sound effects. Third: I liked the fight with sword and shield. Fourth: I couldnt make the mod to work like I wanted in NG+ and at that moment I just wanted to fight Baldur, so my patience was limited. Why the GoW 3 model and not the GoW 2/1 model? Because I liked this one more and the other one didnt age very well. Even though this one doesnt totally fit the artstyle, the other one would have been worse. I hope everyone enjoys the video and thanks for watching and giving feedback!

Honestly when i see stuff like this, it makes me feel like we've not actually seen kratos finish his arc. Has he learned to calm down? yes. But that's not balance. Kratos still isn't balanced just because he refuses to get angry, and infact the entire storyline seems to exist with the idea that he doesn't need his rage. Problem is, everyone needs their rage. All emotions have a use, a benefit, it's not about repressing them, which is what the current version of kratos seems to do to his rage, it's about controlling them and utilizing them at the proper times. Some will say the rage mode option is proof of him 'controlling' it. But the truth is that it's indicated he holds enourmous power when angry, and he barely taps into it when you use the rage mode for him. Kratos was able to take down a titan so massive that his thumb itself was a tower of flesh by comparison to kratos. Not only that but in his rage-filled state he was able to hold off the titan's attempts to crush him. Alot of people say he lost his powers when rome was destroyed, but the thing is that lore seems to say he would still be getting stronger, and it's also canonical that he keeps his rage repressed because he sees it as a bad thing, which is why he holds back throughout the games, which is why he isn't as powerful as he should canonically be shown to be through the two 'new' games. From a gameplay perspective, it makes some sense, and giving a lore reason is nice admittedly, but it still means kratos' journey can't actually be complete yet because he hasn't learned when to use his rage, because despite the mechanic existing to give us, the players, a temporary power boost, kratos himself makes sure to not get angry. We even see examples where he threatens people, especially in ragnarock, threatening to show them the 'old' him. That means even in the lore, they are making it clear we haven't seen his full strength at all. It just seems hollow that so far the story has been about repressing it. Some will say it's about 'tempering' it, but the truth is the stories make it clear. he's trying to AVOID it. This was made clear in the first thor fight. The moment he let out a small bit of rage, he instantly paused and went right into trying to calm himself down. It's something to be ashamed of to him. That isn't what it should be viewed as. Much like the swords and the spear, and the axe, his rage is itself a weapon that has a purpose to it that it just seems the writers haven't really done anything with. I don't mean to say they don't have plans, i really can't say in that regard. It just currently feels like he's half way through a journey, rather than reaching the conclusion, even if they seem to be trying to end his story after ragnarok.

That kratos wouldn’t even let Baldur speak, he was toast in mere moments
I just realize his house keeps getting messed up. And it’s him being tossed around.
This is so brutal
This is the best soundtrack ♥️
