The humor here was honestly so well done. Not so overdone that it overshadows emotional and serious moments in the story, but there to add levity and light to what would otherwise be a very dark and heavy story
15:13 I kinda wanna explain this story Mimir tells because the word choices are very complicated and the implications are subtle. Basically this guy, a Laird who is meant to practice discipline, and not get tempted by worldly desires and stuff, helps out a women cross a river by carrying her on his back. His brother who witnesses the thing happen sees this as the Laird breaking that vow because he believe the Laird left himself undignified and succumbed to the temptation of a women in some way, contrary to their aforementioned vows. The Laird replies that all he did was help her across (not breaking the vow), however he tells the Brother that it is HIM who broke the values that they typically go by by allowing that bottled up anger to take control of him, constantly thinking about the situation. This is where the "tis you who carries her still" line comes from. It means that the brother still carries her (the situation) in his mind and hasn't let go of it yet. It's actually some pretty clever and intelligent word play I'm kinda impressed by the developers and I had to play it back and look up words just to understand it.

Kratos: “No”
In a game with an OCEAN of great voice acting, Sungwon still stands out.
17:15 they way mimir reacted always gets me
I'm sad that you didn't add the part when kratos walks to the fire and sindri say "see I told you he wanted a snack"
You're right and I'm really sorry about that! I realize now that I left out a few moments that definitely should have been added to this video. Thanks for pointing that out!
That was my favorite it was too good
@@VG_Moments To be fair, moments like these aren't a rarity. Condensing it all into one video would be either leave out great portions or have the video be over an hour long.
@@lucad9667 yes, exactly.
and by that, next part of this video would be appreciated.
I just made a Part 2 video and I remembered to add this part to it so feel free to watch it when you get the chance!
6:30 Kratos always does things the hard way.
🤨🤨🤨🤨📸
"The hell's an olive?" - Smartest man alive
"what in the Hel is it anyway?"
"That is my son"
💀
"What is a Juicy?"
"No!!"
Classic Father/Son moment
I still want to know what a “juicy nokken” is. Damn you Kratos
Nokken, otherwise known as a Nixie, in Norse mythology tends to be a shapeshifting being that can change sex. Typically, Nokken’s tend to be nude.
They’re similar to sirens that led men, women, and children into rivers and lakes, but in this case, it sounds a heck of a lot more inappropriate.
@@bigbywolf5031 so it's like skinny dipping but traumatizing?
@@bigbywolf5031 I know what a nokken is and I have two theories on what a “juicy nokken” both of which would offend the alphabet people. I think that’s why Kratos cut Sindri off.
I still want to know what exactly a juicy nokken is still. Urban dictionary doesn’t have a definition for it.
@@rg7488 I wanna know, too.
@@rg7488 It's aight, I give you the pass to explain, I'm the divine representative of the Alphabet

7 year old me in a bad mood coming home from school:
Kratos being called a beef cake was the funniest thing in the whole game.
1:24
The squirrel : Mind if i take a little peek at you? I promise i'll be brief.
Kratos : PIKACHU?
"Do not laugh"
"It's hard not to brother"
"Try"
Atreus: my jaw is itching, i think i am going to grow beards
Kratos: REALLY 😀
I JUST noticed whenever they say “hell” they actually say “Hel” as shown in the subtitles, that’s some attention to detail that I should’ve already known
4:13
"im not easily swayed my good man"
"STOP WITH THE STUPID CHIME!!!"
They really nailed the father-son relationship in this game.
Mimir: Why after all your lecturing me about letting go of the past you still want to go kill the king berserker?
Kratos: Loots.
It’s hilarious that Kratos in cutscenes is completely serious, then when you’re playing you can make him do goofy stuff and sometimes unlock certain dialogues about his behavior.
ratatosker encounter was funny AF espically atreus's expristion
blad of olympis weak af but the squiky dog toy NOW THAT IS THE SLAYER OF GODS! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
One of my favourite things is the development of Kratos. When they're travelling he's more open and talks more and just in general you see the softer calmer side
And also more reasonable 😉
