I have a plain white, 4x4 Custom with tow package...built in the old hometown, Flint. I love my truck! Its an absolute monster compaired to my other Chevy's. Tows our 5th wheel with zero problem. No frills inside and pretty much shows as is here, but its perfect for us. Stickered at $58K. Walked out the door (tax/title/etc) with a GM discount and added on step sides for $56k.
The analog gauges are better and easier to read than the fancy ones of the “upgraded” models. I like the column shift, and the 7” screen is sufficient. I can watch TV at home. I need the extra cab and 6.5’ bed.
This is the only Silverado HD that really caught my attention, granted the new Chevy HDs look weird BUT with this refresh they definitely made it look a lot better and that’s something I really appreciate as a potential buyer. I wouldn’t say the interior is unfortunate because the “simplicity” of this trim is what I think makes it a perfect balance between old and modern less stuff to break your analog gauges is better than digital in the long run. Mechanically, I’m really excited with the L8T finally being paired with the Allison 10-speed since that’s a significant improvement over the 6-speed why GM waited this long to put it is beyond me. I think power management will be better with this new transmission along with fuel economy granted these rigs were never designed to be fuel sippers. Personally, I’d go with a double cab long bed since that’s the perfect balance between having 4 doors and the utility/space offered by a long bed.
@@WeAllHaveOurOwnRoadToWalk Z71 package adds the Z71 emblems on the front fenders and deletes the 4x4 decal on the bedsides. Not sure why they decided to delete those...
Beautiful truck until you panned into the interior ANTIQUATED STALE DASH, a definite deal breaker , I'd have to trade up to the LT package, even the Custom looks really nice on the outside

Silverado es Silverado el poder américano haciendo historia... Que bella esa Camioneta 😍
Love that truck! And finally the 10 speed!
It would look nice on a regular cab

I liked the old grill
Is that a rare Z71 two wheel drive?
Nope, just saw the 4 wheel drive button. Why doesn’t that have the 4x4 stickers on the rear sides?

I don't see a custom trim on the website for 24s
It is in the States
My understanding was that the hood vent was fake on the gas engine and real on the diesel engine
And I have never understood that. Isn’t it MORE important to keep a gas engine running cooler than it is for a diesel engine?
