The early 2000's was a great time for horror films, a lot of different ideas but also started what I think is the degradation of the genre. The industry went from Rosemary's Baby with great actors and directors to people from the end of the barrel. I truly appreciate the new directors elevating the genre to something truly cinematic. Anyways that's my opinion, for everyone who didn't ask for it. I saw "A classic horror story" it's a new Italian film I recommend it. ✨✨✨
I mean the early 2000’s really did try soooo many different things, it kinda reminds me of how in the 80s there were sooo many horror movies coming out, some good some bad. But they were always INSANE!!!

Horror movies did struggle for a bit but I think directors like Ari Aster are bringing true terror and discomfort back to the genre.

Agree about the 00s horror 100%, but a classic horror story was just... Bad. I feel like it had no idea what it wanted to be and the end they just added a metà to it and called it day.

Goosebumps was my shitt growing up I remember going to blockbuster to rent it😭 and now I can relive my childhood cause it’s on Netflix 🔥 for some reason it was the cursed camera episodes that got me I was scared to take a picture after seeing that for the first time 💀✋

I remember my dad rented this movie at blockbuster, and when the movie ended mi mama, in her Cuban wisdom (which is usually the best wisdom) told my dad she wanted that dvd rental the hell OUT of the house that very night we watched it.

Also, I just finished season 4 of Atypical, it is an emotional roller coaster but worth the watch!

Haven't watched your video, yet, but I watched this movie on one of my first dates with my husband and it has scarred me for life. So much so, that when the damn doll appeared in Toy Story 4 I about walked out of the theater. Would have left the kids and all because of that flippin doll.

When I was a kid I was invited to this sleepover and the girl's room was filled with this type of dolls. I called my mom and asked her to pick me up. People are insane.
Omg same! Over the years, I’ve gotten over my fear of Slappy from goosebumps and Chucky, but this one has been the only doll film that I’ve never been able to get over and still to this day cannot watch it alone or even watch a clip cuz of that scary ass doll and the clown puppet lmao 😭

I completely forgot that I watched this back when it first came out & I fully blocked it from my memory until I saw that part in the attic with the wall of dolls. It kinda freaked me out a bit.
Have you seen Darkness Falls. It's about this vengeful spirit that takes on the form of the tooth fairy & then goes to take vengeance on the town that killed her. You might like it. Had a lot of fun scaring the ever loving crap out of my youngest sister at the time.

I feel like a lot of kids got scarred from this, but on the opposite end, my older cousin legitimately rented it to try and make me face my fears. Oddly enough, it worked. It became one of my favorite scary movies because it was a wild ride lol
