I would love for camp to make a comeback in horror. This gave me evil dead DOWN. I was 100% expecting it to go THERE at all.
I mean 80’s horror for me is my sweet spot, I grew up watching 80’s horror so my mindset is just for more horror movies to be that camp and ridiculous, I really wanna see more of it, I NEEEEED IT
SAME. Camp will always be inherent to the genre of horror but we've entered this era of cereboral, high brow arthouse horror and I miss the camp glamour of it all.
Camp horror movies aren't afraid to really show you their monsters. Even when it looks a new kind of ugly. It's part of the fun. This movie is a good blend. You get high grade scares but the second you think about it you laugh. Great reaction.

All I could think of was “It’s freakin bats. I love Halloween.” Vine when I saw the background 😩. This movie definitely gave WAY more camp than I had heard originally and love it! You'd be OBSESSED with Trick r' Treat (2007). It's several interwoven stories that take place on Halloween, and error reveal consequences when you don't follow the holiday traditions. The dark comedy is camp and the twists will turn you out. One of those hole-in-the-wall films with actors you've seen in early 2000 films.
I’ve heard so many great things about that movie that I definitely had to add it to my list so I think it’s gonna end up being the last movie for October, so stay tuned my luv

I have always said the same thing. I watch a movie to be entertained. So it bothers me so much when someone complains about how a movie isn’t realistic. Especially the horror genre. People who grew up loving horror movies in all its spectacular guised will be enchanted.
People who hate this movie could go on to appreciate it once they dive into more horror movies - making them bigger horror fans! It's a win-win situation!!

I feel like you could see hints in his previous work that Wan has it in him to be campy. Saw, Insidious, Dead Silence aren't full on camp, but there's this little zest of it on them. The overacting in Saw, the demon's little lair in Insidious while he's filing his nails, the whole vibe of Dead Silence. It feels like James Wan wants to do more camp and have fun with it, which I'm here for.

I know this is an older vid of you, but you have finally solved years and years of therapy for me. Every time I watch a movie and enjoy it there is always that someone that wants to tear it apart. I don't care if it is realistic or not JUST LET ME INJOY IT! And you know, I always felt stupid cause I couldn't dig that deep into a movie with all the technicalities and stuff, cause I was too busy enjoying and not studying every little detail. Well, what can I even say at this point? ZZAVID is literally the top-tier Queen of horror movie reactions. Gotta admire how he doesn't usually react to horror movies that are mainstream-he sticks to lesser known ones-and honestly that's great! Never heard of Malignant before, though. I knew there would a twist but I didn't expect this kind of twist. Found your channel 4 months ago(?) and I've been hooked ever since. Some people hated this movie but I LOVED it. There are some bad things but overall, loved it.
I think it can still be found somewhere online, but Oprah once did a show about a woman who gave birth to conjoined twins, but one of the babies was just a head attached at the skull. I am still haunted to this day. The story was incredibly sad for both babies and the Mom, but the worst part was that Oprah kept referring to the other baby as a "parasitic head"!. This poor child without a body still had consciousness, and must have felt so incredibly scared, and on top of that to be disregarded that way! People forget, but when you look back on many of Oprah's show at the height of her career, she said a lot of messed up stuff!
But it‘s a fact that she had a parasitic twin. It was not connected to any internal organs and whether it was capable of independent thought is unclear. The girl wouldn’t have been able to crawl, walk, or live in general with her twin still attached, so they removed it. Unfortunately she passed away after the surgery.
When you mentioned grave encounters I gagged cause I felt like that was such an unknown horror movie. But I remember my friends and I watching that at 15 and freaking tf out. Would love to see you watch the second one
