    So my husband and I saw this video when it came out almost a year ago and decided to try the Pho Binh by Night in Houston. We live almost 7 hours from Houston, but we were going for our 1st wedding anniversary in May. What should have been a 7 hour trip turned into a 13 hour trip because my car broke down half way there, we were stuck a mechanic's for hours in no-where Louisiana and ended up getting the last available rental car out of there. We were exhausted, but determined to have our first meal in Houston at Pho Binh. We got there with like an hour left before they closed at like 2 AM (bless them for staying open late) and once we sat down, my husband recognized the owner. He got the owner's attention who was SO nice to us. After hearing about our struggle to get there, he was really humbled to learn that we wanted his restaurant to be our first food from Houston. He gave a TON of free food and was so welcoming. We literally couldn't eat it all! It was amazing, though, so, so good. I hope we get to visit again soon! Thanks, Buzzfeed, for the tip and to Pho Binh, can't wait to come again!

    1-just eating it and shoulder shrug
    2- eating and getting a head nod
    3- eating and saying it’s good/I like it
    4- eating getting a wide eye 👀and/or a Wow
    Any time Adam gives any sort of verbal confirmation to the food they try that’s when u know that stuff is damn good

    A reasonable high priced dish. I'm impressed. They didn't throw in black truffles, caviar, and gold to push the price up a few hundred bucks for no real reason.
    One really good luxury ingredient, some really good technique, and a lot of time. Something actually worth its price.

      Yes! I love the series but I'm disappointed when they're reviewing an expensive dish that adds any form of edible gold - it feels like the concept of the dish started out with it's price point as the top priority and they worked backwards from that instead of focusing only on taste / presentation (Well, I guess edible gold does help with the presentation, albeit in a very financially inefficient way).

    The one ingredient that will make your pho extra amazing that most people don't know about is actually something that some Vietnamese restaurants use only for their chicken pho, it's kefir lime leaves! You take one kefir lime leaf and slice it into strips as thin has a strand of hair and just add that to your pho. You will love it! The kefir lime flavor and aroma is just amazing and adds another dimension to your broth!

    This is the kind of Worth It I enjoy most. The top price pho isn't expensive because it's covered in edible gold leaf, foie gras, caviar, and truffles, it's expensive because it's made with quality ingredients that actually make sense as opposed to just being added to make the dish seem more artifically expensive.

      Mike Russo How much do you know about Vietnamese culture? If you knew anything, you would know how beautiful, diverse, colorful, and wonderful it is. Have you been to Vietnam? Have you met a Vietnamese person and talked about his/her culture? Have you even been to a Vietnamese restaurant?

    • @aznmochibunny

      TheDustyForest Depends on where you are. I live in the USA and a lot of people think of pho when they hear Vietnam. It's one of the most well known Vietnamese dishes.

      I swear in Ottawa Canada there is pho on nearly every corner it's crazy. You can go to town and find so many pho and shawarma places to the point where there's rarely anything else lol

    • @TheDustyForest
      @TheDustyForest 6 років тому +3

      Aah fair enough I live in England, clearly the situation is a bit different in the US and Canada. There is at least one decently sized restaurant chain that specialises in Pho over here but I am pretty sure that most people over here wouldn't know it, at least by name.
