Funny enough it's the only circuit in FH5 I REALLY hate. I don't know what's wrong with it, I just have very very hard time on it. Most tracks are good or at least decent. This one LOOK simple but I find it extremely difficult regardless of car type and build.
@@beardedgeek973 The final ‘hairpin’ is terrible; it’s almost impossible to get a good line, the rest of the track is practically flat out. Overall it’s pretty bad.
i probably shouldve tried putting in an engine swap in my gremlin, although the stock engine still worked pretty well. fingers crossed i dont miss this many checkpoints next time i take part in these lmao
The 4th rule for Gremlins: Must not get every checkpoint in a race. It didn't miss a checkpoint in the last race... what creature will it become now? To be continued....
IMHO, while the idea of checkpoints is fine and all, the way FH implements them is more of a nuisance than useful. Too often they are too damn narrow and needlessly penalize for being slightly off to the side. CPs should really serve to prevent obvious shortcutting off the course, and nothing more, certainly not for someone who had a slide to the side.
The biggest differences at the first circuit was that Significant Yeet knew the drive lines he needed at every turn, and Alex couldn't get the final turn anything close to right any of the five times he tried.
Wow. The racing on that second course may have been some of the best I've seen in a long time! I was on the edge of my seat, just watching you hold your place and bide your time. Keep up the great work!
Every online race I've been in I get wiped out for position, especially at the finish line. I almost got goosebumps watching the scout and eclipse battle cleanly through 3 corners to a photo finish.
Nahh tried driving like that, it does slow you down significantly, though less with higher clearance and off-road or rally tires. The biggest difference in fh5 is a bit harder handling, but can be tuned to match driving style, and some cars is a must to have traction on, or some other assistance.
Yeah 4 wheel slides seem to work allot better (as they should really) Irl the only reason you don’t see it is because it will over heat the tires but through the course of 1 corner it is the fastest way. Particularly within the slip angle. Also why it’s common on surfaces that won’t heat the tires as much such as dirt
Really entertaining races, as always. Your commentary makes any race interesting, adding less than ideal setups on an almost random vehicle selection is the cherry on top. On another note, I miss the "shootout" kind of challenges, with those all entertaining made up rules.
Good racing. Nice build for a triathlon racing Eclipse. I raced the Gremlin in FH 5 road and dirt races. The game would make me suddenly lose understeer or oversteer for no apparent reason. I think FH5 still has trouble showing weather changes.
17:09 They lock up their brakes because they are coming in faster than their car can handle. Basically arcade style driving instead of being more aware of braking zones and the limits of your vehicle.
Yeah I missed my braking point totally on that corner. I was more inside than usual and blacked out on the braking point, panicked and braked too much. Also doesn't help that I'm still not quite used to FH5 being more sensitive on braking when compared to 4. Apologized to Alex after the race.
Anyone else kinda miss the old forza motorsport, failrace vs. The community content, where he would shoutcast over the whole race, and where the most action was over the replays? Love the current content, and love all the interesting concepts of different videos, but i used to love those videos too and would like to see it return every once in a while
Ah. The transit. What a box it was. Its grip is so bad that slicks didn't feel like slicks at all and I was able to have some okay acceleration. No Top end though. Like at all. And I actually had some fun on dirt battling for 10th. And it was still a better driving experience on dirt than the Sierra
Hey Failrace, love your channel, HokiHoshi put out tuning guides which help wiht how to build carsv on various surfaces etc etc, I found his tuning guides super helpful and my cars are alot quicker
The Mexican Cultural Agency definitely won't appreciate that bug that had your Eclipse driving about inside their monument! It's an outrage I tells yer!
Had to change cars after first race, forgot I had V12 swapped the Charger. I had chosen it in the last minute, because didn't like Mercury as much as I thought. Cyclone was a bit meh in the end, and I still need to get to grips with the game, not entirely comfortable yet. But had fun and don't think I screwed up anyone totally.
Do not upgrade brakes unless you're building to S1 or your car is from the 1940s, it doesn't make as big a difference as the game would lead you to believe and is an absolute PI scam
Still super broken eh? Even playing single player I’m still getting weird day/night bugs. It loses progress on weekly challenges, loses connection to a group event, and on and on. Still having fun though, just wish it wasn’t so broken.
quick pro tipp: the best tyre compound for B class street racing seem to be drag tyres ;) and forza aero in the front is not really good for performance per PI point. its not really needed until S2 class really. S1 maybe on some cars. also brake upgrades are unnecessary in B class and depending on the car also in A class. even S1 you only need sport brakes, racing brakes are not really needed.
I wish they would come up with a way to have AI drive Cars that you have modified. I'd really enjoy racing various cars in my garage against each other . .
True, i don't use manual in racing, just for drifts mostly, it may give more challenging driving, but i find it mostly useless in race, automatic does do the job.
The Eagle Talon was a rebadged Eclipse that was sold through Chrysler dealers. Both were offered with AWD in the states, though more Talons were so equipped thanks to Eagle's 'enthusiast-minded' image.
WTF! You placed second and I didn't see a blond female. I had gotten used to seeing those nice legs in Forza 4. I'm feeling kinda let down at this point.
RCE would approve of the first circuit. It is, after all, the strongest circuit.
Funny enough it's the only circuit in FH5 I REALLY hate. I don't know what's wrong with it, I just have very very hard time on it. Most tracks are good or at least decent. This one LOOK simple but I find it extremely difficult regardless of car type and build.
This would be a great crossover event as a Survive the Hunt episode!
Looks more like a chicken wing than a dong imho tbh famalamadingdong

Ooh, this was a particularly good one! I love the NFSU opener livery too, really need to get this game
i'm glad to know that someone else noticed the livery
Amazing 1st race by SignificantYEET that pass on Alex was clean
YEET just took 1st in all races I done think they even had a battle once they took it.
Also, always a more enjoyable race for the rest of us when Alex doesn't have an all conquering build!
That ruins track could be a bit crazy with bouncy cars.
I feel like sliding slows you way less than fh4 and that's why Alex has been struggling to truly make things work

I see that livery, and all I can hear is the song of the intro for NFS Underground.
BT - Kimosabe, in case you're curious.
glad to see that we all know that livery. :D
i'll also have to check out the soundtrack
Just so you know, V8 5 speed Eclipse/Legacy B-Class leaderboard builds were a thing in FH3
Did yeet handly win all of these races? Thats some trick...
2:00 Finding a way past them indeed lol. Just ramming them aside at a corner lmao.

Engine swaps are always good fun. Maybe a V12 one in the future?
The 7.7 V12 from the TVR since it can be swapped in a lot of cars 😋
If you have AWD diff, set the front at 10/4 and the rear 79/24 with overall set to rear at 79. It will dramatically help you whip around corners.
Good racing. Nice build for a triathlon racing Eclipse. I raced the Gremlin in FH 5 road and dirt races. The game would make me suddenly lose understeer or oversteer for no apparent reason. I think FH5 still has trouble showing weather changes.

@@coffeeaddict8712 Yeah that's very understandable on all counts.

I've found that cars at the top of A class and under don't require a brake upgrade.
I want to see Alex try and drive a car with a tendency to snap over steer, even though it would be a pain for him, it would be entertaining to watch.

You should go back to real life cart racing until forza is fixed, or how many people you can fit in "x" car. That was fun content 🤣
Please, please fail race. There are many wheels that don't change pi. Please some wheels and spacers on your builds🥺😭
