- After a fantastic day visiting three new airfields in the midlands it was time to head home back to Blackpool VFR from Coventry!

I am fine thank you. My Jodel has been out of the air for some time with a major canopy crack and engine baffle work. During this time I filmed from the back of John's RV4 but have switched to recording sound on to a Sony recorder. Have you seen any?

Love the videos Ben. I got a few hours under my belt at Sherburn a couple of years ago but had to put my training on hold..... life got in the way and all that ;) Watching your videos keeps my appetite up to finish what i started one day.

I didn't see the date of the video.. I only noticed it was recent because the new roundabout completed at Coventry's Tolbar island just after takeoff

How on earth you decipher all that chatter, is simply beyond me! How you know the difference of messages directed at you and those directed at other aircraft is simply bewildering. I was listening out for your call sign, but nah! Ill leave the piloting to you!

+Oliver Shotter if it's something you're considering you should go down to your local airfield for a Trial Lesson, they aren't as expensive as you may think!

Plane Old Ben Yeah! Come visit us in lowly Cardiff at some point. try your hand at a proper international airport. (plus the restaurant is very good!)
Some of us ground based locals still think of it as Rhoose Airport :-)
I have a huge soft spot for Cardiff where I learnt to fly back in the late nineties, many happy a year based in Cardiff (a certain Beagle Pup which I know is still based there) before moving to Scotland. Ah the memories. Will need to pop into the flying when I'm down at some point, hopefully the restaurant is as good as ever!

Is there autopilot on the PA28?
Not on this nor BAe Training's other PA28, no. Warriors don't tend to have an AP (it was an expensive option), Cherokee 180s and Archer's often have the basic Piper autocontrol (single axis) AP.
I'm training at aeros the facilities are great

Plane Old Ben couple of weeks ago. It'll be going to FIS in November and staying like that indefinitely. There's some big issues that need to be sorted out at the airfield. Big users have left and the airport authority is working out the next steps.
Sounds like a trainee ATC Ben ;-)
