“Didn’t we have a child”
“Idk”
“Must’ve been the wind”
This ain't it bestie
Talk about black out drunk!
This story has been proven a hoax
@Hh Hh no it’s real. He’s full of shit. Look how she moves like a dog, that’s not fake
Omg lmao
I'm sorry, what? They forgot about their child one night and just... never remembered again?
My thoughts exactly, there's more to this particular story.
Yeah. I left my 3 children at school once and left them there because I forgot. I’m dead and they’re 70 now.
Makes no sense
Lmfao. Way too true. Alot of these stories are pretty farfetched. Obviously there's some truth to it, because well...videos. but i wonder just how much of the stories are true
Haven't we all been there though?? 😏🤷🏻♂️....
Oxana’s parents didn’t forget they had a daughter, they severely neglected her. She was still living on their property with a pack of dogs when authorities removed her from their “custody”. They knew she was there the nearly 5 years she spent outside. Oxana is now 39 and lives in assisted living, according to doctors she has the mental capacity of a 6 year old and they think this is due to her lack of upbringing in her formative years. Oxana says she would like to be treated as a normal person. She said she sometimes reverts to dog like behavior when she is lonely. She is sad because she has no real family. She met her biological father as an adult and was introduced to a half sister he had. But her father was not interested in a relationship. Apparently she would like to meet her biological mother but news media that has done stories on Oxana have not been able to locate her mother. I saw in one article that she has brothers apparently but they don’t visit her.
Complete nonsense. She never lived w dogs and If she was on all fours why are her knees perfectly smooth and clean? They'd be callused
This is so sad. ❤❤❤❤❤
This is beyond sad. She deserved so much better.

Steven's police interrogation is terrifying, he just shuts down, stares at a wall and gives simple, monotone answers for HOURS. Even when he's alone, he just sits.
Yeah I watched his full length interview. Cops on that case said his empty stare and monotone answers haunted them for years.
While the dogs accepting Oksana into their pack is heartwarming, its horrible how parents could just forget that they had a child. Even if they were drunk or high on drugs.
Hey , they didn’t forget… they were drunks and the dogs took responsibility to care for her so that was a great deal for them.
They didn't forget. They just didn't care.

@Michael Klaren 🤦♂️
I hope he’s resting in peace. That broke my heart.
@Michael Klaren wth is wrong with you. “It’s just a dog” you have no compassion
the parents definetly lied about "forgeting" the child and should be charged with neglect, theres no way you just "forget" about a child you've had for three years
I mean they were still feeding her the raw meat right? Maybe they were blind too. Fing people
@@ashleeketner4408 jesus christ kid
U know I meant fing people as in her parents right? Not you. I totally agree with u.
Unless they were alcoholics, which they were. It's poison and takes away any reasoning abilities.
@@ramona4913 i completely disagree. My mom and step-dad were alcoholics. And that man is definitely still responsible for what he did to us. When u wake up from a stooper and learn what u did and decide to still drink that is a conscious choice. And yes I understand addiction. Was a full blown addict for years, thankfully in recovery now .... but denial is a whole different monster than forgetting.
"Take care of my dog" the most heart breaking line... I hope the dog got taken care of.
5 years, what a joke. Poor dog (and man).
Who the freak cares about the dog? The man literally died and you’re more concerned about the dog? Unbelievable. I’m sick of people like you.
Twist. The dog was Oxana
Concerning the 2 sisters: it’s madness that they were not put on an involuntary psych hold. For comparison, in 7th grade I made a joke, granted an ill-timed inappropriate one, and I was put on a 72 hour hold in a psych ward. Meanwhile, these ladies are doing parkour on broken legs, punching cops, and playing Frogger IRL, and the medical staff is like “oh, looks like your legs are better now. Well, best of luck & have a nice day.” GIRL. Like what 🥴
LOL the "irl frogger" made me laugh pretty hard. They're clearly not very good at the game
It seems like the most extreme cast get more leniency and the lighter one get the harshest reaction. It's like the system wants to make an example out of people who do things at a low scale yo show others not to do things at a higher while also having endless empathy for those who have do things on a high scale. Not saying people shouldn't empathize with clearly mentally unstable people but also get them the help they need asap and without excuses. That doesn't help anyone.
F*cking boneheaded UK medical system. What else did you expect?
Girls are treated so much better, it’s unfair.
What was the joke?
Forgetting your child is one thing but never seeing her in your own backyard is just insane
That all seems weird, but it may have been a very large property and the "kennels" just some kind of building where the dogs slept, not a suburban back yard.
They were sever alcoholics, which is probably why she was mentally impaired, (foetal alcohol syndrome).
It's in Siberia, so rural or semi rural maybe. It would be good to get a fuller picture about how they all survived
I doubt the parent cared about themselves mush less anything else.

That's so sad, poor Glenn, clearly a good man
Yeah that is absolutely terrible
I legit started crying when he said that :c
That part was sad but I couldn't help but laugh at the story as a whole just because of how wacky it was. She had a roofing tile in her pocket that she used as a projectile weapon to defend herself from a man who was trying to intercept her after seeing her running down a highway repeatedly hitting herself in the face with a hammer. Immediately after which she jumped off a 40-foot bridge.
Seriously, this shit sounds more like an Eric Andre sketch than the description of an actual crime.
@@yoyobeerman1289 LMFAO
@@yoyobeerman1289 fits in with the strange description of 'the strange, dark or mysterious,' then doesn't it.
Oksana Malaya wasn't "forgotten" by her parents. They had to feed their dogs after all, they knew where she was. They were just incredibly neglectful so that Oksana looked on the dogs as her guardians and learnt her behaviour from them.
Fun fact: shared madness has actually been found to happen in complete strangers who meet and both have mental health problems whether diagnosed or not. It happened to a couple of young adults who met at college and both had undiagnosed mental health problems. They went on to kill several people together and when they were separated in jail they went back to being themselves and couldn't explain why they had done it.
Do you by chance remember anything else about the case? This sounds super interesting and I've never heard of it, but I did a cursory google search and didn't find anything
Folie à deux
how does one casually forget their child's existence for 5 years
it was only her father and he did not care that she was out there
Easy, they forgot
easy, they're acholics
Crack cocaine
I don't think they did forget. I think they intentionally left her out there all those years. It would not be possible to completely forget about the existence of your child for 5 years, i don't care how drunk you get. They essentially gave her to the dogs.
"Take care of my dog" that man had a great heart, esteeme to him.

Steven definitely put on one hell of a show. He was a bizarre guy to begin with. Total creeper. Poor woman.
I don't think "creeper" would be the right word for him. If he was a mere creep, he would have just stalked her, maybe stole stuff; which applies to him as well but he has passed that point. He is a sick, deluded murderer. There was no personal reason that she should have died.
Anybody interested JCS has a great video about that case.

The first story hard to believe because how could her parents not realize that she was missing for more than 4 years?
But she was not missing - she lived next to house, in their sight, what's wrong? *sarcasm*
in fact, she was very lucky to survive among dogs. I know the story when a friend with a daughter of about 4 years old came to the owner of the kennel. The women let her "walk" around the yard and sat down to dinner. After dinner, they remembered the child, began to search and found in the kennel - one of the dogs bit the girl to death. It is not known why the dog became so aggressive. But a small child only needs one serious bite to bleed to death.
This was a child that was severely neglected by parents and likely didn't have much of a motivation to explore her surroundings. She may have been afraid of the dogs until they came and comforted her. I'm betting the child that the kennel owner let walk around the yard either did something to the dog or the dogs were being kenneled to be watched and the owner didn't know their personalities well enough to protect the child from one that may have been child aggressive. Both stories are sad. But at least for Oksana she had a chance to live and experience life. I feel so sorry for the little child that was bitten and bled to death. 😢
@@chloris6349 I think it's all bullshit.

For people wondering about how Aksana’s parents could neglect and forget her. There are…sadly…addicts who do only care about their addiction, even ignoring their children just to feed it.
Given when and where the story takes place, I doubt the family had means of regular birth control either. They likely saw Aidan’s as less their child and more a burden, so even if they noticed her with the dogs they likely didn’t care.

It’s insane how they could release someone who’s so obviously having/ had a psychotic break and willing to hurt themselves or others so quickly
You'd be surprised how hard it actually is to get someone held when they are showing signs of self harm or being a danger to themselves. Because of the bodily autonomy laws they have to be crystal clear that they mean to hurt themselves before they can hold someone of a psychiatric hold.
Case in point, my brother. Long history of mental illness and self harm, ranging from slight cuts to literally hammering a 6 inch nail into his own knee while high on heroin. One day he decided to try and kill himself and he slit his femoral artery with a razor blade. I had heard him crying so went to check on him when i found him bleeding out, thankfully i have combat medic training so i did my thing while my mom called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital and fixed up.
About 6 hours later to our horror we get a call from him asking to be picked up (it was mid 2020, that's why we weren't already there, we weren't allowed to be because of the pandemic), we were under the assumption because it was an attempted suicide he was going to be held for his own safety. But nope, he gave a half assed lie to the doctors and they released him.
You have no clue what you are talking about. You are not allowed to just lock up people YOU diagnosed as crazy
@Witty Witty I helped a man get out of punishment scott free for abusing a woman because I thought he was a good guy, guess what he actually WAS an abusive piece of shit. Blame your own kind (men) before you blame others. Maybe if you guys weren't animals society would have a higher opinion of you
These two women absolutely met the legal criteria for a 72 hour psychiatric hold (in the US anyway) on the grounds of the extreme level of lethality of the method they chose to attempt suicide. Furthermore, this method blatantly puts members of the public (anyone who's driving) at risk of serious injury or death.
As someone who has spent years working in psychiatric hospitals, I'm very familiar with the requirements and procedures for placing a 72 hour MD hold. This case absolutely met the criteria. The doctors that "treated" these women and released them with a clear bill of health, these doctors should be held liable.
I remember one case in the past decade or so in which someone who attempted suicide was treated for a day and released, then promptly completed suicide. It became a huge legal fiasco for the practitioners and the hospital.
There are two states in this country that, when someone successfully uses the "not guilty except for insanity" plea, they are mandated into locked inpatient psychiatric treatment centers or hospitals for the duration of the longest sentence that can be applied to the crime committed. They are rather successful programs and it's astonishing to me that most states do not have these programs; the other 48 states allows anyone using the NGI plea successfully to walk free and that is really fucked.

So sad to think that a child found more in common, and was shown more love from a pack of dogs than her own family
Sounds like the dogs were a great up grade from the parents if you can call them that
and then they left her for a piece of meat, lol
We don't deserve dogs honestly. Those dogs probably saved her life. Who knows what would have happened had she wandered off somewhere other than the kennel, or if her "parents" would have kept forgetting about her later. She could have been killed by the elements, wild animals, abducted etc.
It was disgusting look at that thing.

One question I asked years ago when this story first aired and has never gotten an answer. Oxana Malaya, was 3 years old when she was left outside and had been with the dogs for five years. When did she learn to wear clothing?
This is a great format that I wish you would use on your current podcasts 😃
You can mistake the killer who was interviewed as being upset that a friend/neighbor died but knowing it’s because he killed her and he’s terrified they found evidence is so crazy.
It's only in retrospect some see it as "creepy" he was upset, but there is no reason he could not have been upset at being reminded of her death, the same way other people cry when thinking about dead loved ones. Since he was obsessed he probably did have strong feelings for her. Wonder why he actually went on to kill her.
It's a bit tiresome that people seem to think there is some rote way of responding to death, or that people can't have mixed emotions, be glad someone is dead on one hand, and be sorry at thr same time.

The video of the mad twins is chilling OMG. I discovered Mr. Ballen through learning more about the outdoors and sasquatch basically LOL! I've gone through quite a phase (like a couple years now) watching a lot about hiking/survival/animals etc. One day (recently) I was at this random guys house (buying a cell phone) and ended up drinking a beer with him and he was playing Ballen. LOL! That's when I knew I was really onto something.

Oh I suddenly remembered the movie about hachiko a dog that wait for owner to come back from the park but the owner died so the dog sit there waited and waited as time pass by
The first story isn’t creepy to me. It’s this amazing survival story through abuse and extreme neglect. I’m going to look up Oxana’s interviews for sure. Good for her taking care of animals.
But her BF... He clearly wanted to do something else with her...
She probably feels comfortable with them, plus she may not be capable of much else.
the footage was disturbing for me, tho
Yea it's very surprising to learn that humans tend to behave like animals if they live with them in their beginning years, but it's not the same case with animals living with humans, even tho humans are more intelligent than any other beings. A deep and interesting fact.
But I don't want my cat to walk on two legs and order me drinks verbally lol. It's better that animals don't adapt to human behaviour

When the police went to Lauren's apartment, it was actually garbage day, and the garbage truck was on her street. I had psychosis and it really feels real . I then went home and the meds weren’t working and ended up back in. Mine was persecutory psychosis so i thought people wanted my organs and all sorts of nasty crap and i still remember. Its a hell that leaves a trauma. And the meds i got the first time switched it from auditory. I was a misdiagnosed autistic and had been being persecuted by shrinks drs and DWP and denied welfare. They also refused me spinal MRIs for 8 years and gaslit me and I’m a former served combat medic . And i kept telling them it was my discs. I was still refused welfare and consistently gaslit and character assasinated, as i had Gastro esophageal reflux disease from HPylori i struggled with pain killers so i wasn’t believed. When i git a scan 8 years later i had prolapsed S1 l4/5 discs which were degenerative. I was put on amitryptlyne and it can cause psychosis . But i got my nites to claim my pip and that a house move and my cats and the NHS persecution and drugs for my back tipped me over. They admitted they were underdiagnosing female autism but the torys covered it all up i did get welfare but never an apology and they abandoned me on anti psychotic meds which i took myself off . MH services know they screwed up but wont as sn organisationaccept responsability for their cruelty and they avoid me and send me in circles , everyone persecutes me with hygiene questions to try and deny me with welfare. UK is full of eugenicist fascist nazi due to them doing a depopulation agenda . Thats why they are engineering an artificial famine blaming Ukraine for the 215% fuel hikes. But we only get 3% if fuel from. They ate collapsing our society. I think its global due to climate change. They are leaving us destitute but wont stop their own greed.
